Fun fact. For those who don't know, Ikumi Nakamura was the responsible for the concept arts and lead concept artist for The evil within 1 and 2. For those who don't know her, she also worked in Okami, Bayonetta and Ghostwire Tokyo. She's just incredible. And we'll probably never see her working in this universe again. Thanks Microsoft.

Again, fuck Microsoft… I know there’s been plenty of studios shut down by other companies, including by Sony. But Tango Gameworks & Arcane Austin just hits differently with me as I had a strong connection to both Evil Within & Prey…

Fun fact in the guardian fight, you can skip it by going into the side entrance of the town hall it also gives you an achievement for this

All the best boss fights come from the first Evil Within game. Which is why I liked the first game more than sequel.

Same i do think evil within 1 is like top tier while the second one didn’t really live up to the hype for me at least i do love stefano though his whole camera gimmik and power thing was so cool and the ghost lady insanely scary my first play through

You should definitely play The Evil Within 1 at the least. I’d put The Evil Within over a majority of Resident evil games.

I was going to disagree with this list (kinda funny cause i commented on your other video saying how much i agree with your lists), because I thought Laura should be number 1. She traumatized me and it was so satisfying to kill her in chapter 5 (or whatever it was), then when she returned in chapter 9 i legit cried lol. The reason why I am not disagreeing with this list is because Stefano is an absolute f***er. His fight is such a pain in the ass especially on Classic Mode, that took me a while on classic. So i do once again agree with your rankings

aww thanks my dude! Yeah, it's totally fine if we do end up disagreeing. That's the wonderful thing about the gaming community. People could have different opinions on different games and there's always room for discussion why we each feel the way we do. With that being said, I love that you agree with me again. Great list Stefano Valentini is GOATED he is my favorite villain from the Evil Within series and my favorite boss fight in the whole series if you ask me who’s better Ruvik or Stefano you’ll get my answer in a millisecond it will always be Stefano he’s an amazing character and everything about him is perfect he made Evil Within 2 a MASTERPIECE!!!!

Lol nice. Yeah I love Stefano and part of me wants to say he’s a better villain than Ruvik. But with the lack of time spent with him it’s hard to make that decision. I just wish he was more involved in the story as the main antagonist instead of Theodore tbh

Laura and The Keeper are my favorites,i only played the first game but i liked The Evil Within so much that i got the platinum trophy after beating the AKUMU mode and i did the 100% in all DLCs. I wish the best to all the Tango GameWorks developers,The Evil Within, Ghostwire Tokyo and Hi Fi Rush are all amazing games.

Good list honestly i would put the keeper in the second spot and obviously stefano in the first place you nailed it sad that Microsoft decided to shut down tango gameworks cause they are behind the evil within games and were possibly not getting a third one anymore unless Bethesda takes the license, but this one is more off topic but i play dead by daylight and tango getting shut down makes it more sad cause the dbd community was always talking about getting the keeper in the game i would want Stefano as well in dbd but the possibility of getting these characters is so low now.

Rumor has it that this game was supposedly to be the Resident Evil 6, or a Resident Evil sequel during development, but it didn’t quite fit well, so they left it out as it’s own independent game. Shinji Mikami, (RE game developer)drew many inspiration from Resident Evil when making The Evil Within. That’s why the concept are similar.

Such a shame we probably won’t get a third game now. I had so much fun with the first game and have a love/hate relationship with akumu mode. Anima is by far my favorite boss. I remember finding anima while looting and then thinking “fuck this shit I’m out” 😅 Laura is my second favorite boss. Stefano had the best boss fight tho.

Amazing list ! Very similar to mine too my personal favourite fight is theodore followed by stefano( i agree with what you said though that stefano is a much better villain) but i still prefer the theodore fight it felt very satisfying using a flamethrower to laura. Also i would include in my list harbringer o niel and the administrator from the dlc

To me EW2 lost a lot of its essence. The first game felt gross, grungy, very body horror, made that rusted-barbwire look work for it so well. The letterbox bordering on the game and emphasis on lighting will be a defining feature of it's legacy going forward and will be remembered fondly. EV2 became a lot more generic and uninspired with the semi open maps, basic ass rudimentary survival crafting bs. Became way more arcadey and action oriented. The complete redesign of Sebastian, taking him from an interesting and unique ethno-hispanic man with an uncanny droning voice to a generic white dude hard-boiled detective cliche. They would've murdered it's original identity by the 3rd game.

Everytime you ask to leave a like on the video I throw up. You're so close to being a good channel but you virtual begging makes you just like every other RU-vidr who thinks that asking for likes and subscribers is going to get them somewhere. I understand where you’re coming from but I’ll be honest with you, it’s not something that’s going to change. With all due respect, since I started to do it my channel has increased in views, subs, and likes. I literally only take 5-7 seconds to simply remind viewers as when you don’t; they forget. That’s a fact and a statistic that’s been proven time and time again. I really appreciate your feedback, but if it’s something that bothers you that much then I recommend you move on and I totally understand and respect your decision. Again, sorry I can’t change my channel per your feedback, but I appreciate you giving me your feedback and reasoning for feeling the way you do.
