This being my first fromsoft game, I can safely say these bosses made me want to go back and beat every other game in the series. The one that really made me fall in love with this game was of course, solider of Godrick. So far I’ve beat ds1 ds3 and Bloodborne, and no other fight has been able to live up to his magnificent boss. Do better fromsoft.
@@unique_package5370 idk man, there are some really good ones but I don’t think that any can compare to soldier of godrick (except for mist noble, that ninth phase was so satisfying)
@@chadofastora He's number 1, hands down. -Has the class to introduce himself. -Thanks you for the fight despite completely demolishing you -Acknowledges your strength when he loses. -Uses nothing but his physical strength. No magic or any bizarre abilities and gimmicks -Kills his faithful companion who tried to step in to help him keep his lordly image just because he values the amazing fight you're giving him and he wants to keep it 1v1. After killing him, I just knew that I don't deserve to sit on the throne. He embodies what a true King is.
@@chadofastora I would assume so. Only thing I can think of that makes sense. Clearly Margits move set is much more complex an his lore of protecting the erdtree stays in line with this theory.
6:26 - The 3rd slam of Radagon has a lingering AOE. It's the circle closest to him so you eiher have to be away from it or get behind him. Notice how you get knocked back once you get hit by that circle
@@buttlerubbies747 I think the reason people get so butthurt over Maliketh is because of his damage and status affects, in general his moveset is so fair that I rarely get hit by him anyway, but when he does hit it’s really punishing
@@chadofastora His moveset was the issue for a lot of players. There were frequent complaints of "no openings" for him but that was more people failing to realize that elden ring bosses do not behave like DS3 bosses.
They add lightning to the final bosses because lightning has been seen by many cultures as a divine force. Some of the earliest known gods in anthropology are sky gods that shoot bolts of lightning. And the characters responsible for lightning in these from soft games are mostly gods, or else the lightning is somehow divine in origin.
Based putting malenia on number 1, weirdly enough she is the best learning tool of the game. Like she was the moment the combat just clicked. I absolutely fukin live her.
Like it's a necessity for you to get gud in this game, elden beast being god my ass. This was the only boss in the game that I feel like earned the title of a God and dear God, the fight, holy shit first you control the pace than she does and if you are able to dance with her it's the best feeling in game. Like my friend was seeing my SL1 attempt and even he was like, dude she is hypnotic.
I am one of the few who think these bosses are the best in the series. I absolutely love most of the remembrance bosses. Also, for Morgott, the next time you fight him try to hit him everytime you see a delayed attack and find him close to you. The amount of opportunities to attack him is insane if you can see which moves are viable and also use positioning so that he doesn't mess you up. Same thing for Beast clergyman and Maliketh. There are plenty of attacks where you can hit as well. Here's a tip: Run RB/R1 everytime BC opens a combo. You're guaranteed to hit him everytime. And every single move Maliketh does while on ground can be followed up with an attack even with a colossal. Every. Single. Move. Goddamn just talking about him makes me wanna boot up elden ring and go fight him again.
Thanks for the tips, I recently realized that I never consciously noticed how Elden Ring fights work, being that compared to the other games, you almost always strike in the midst of their combos as opposed to waiting for them to finish, especially Maliketh
@Chad of Astora Maliketh is my far the best example of this. Morgott is also quite underrated in this aspect. Weaving your moves within his moveset is absolutely orgasmic especially with a greatsword. Side note: I think a greatsword is the most fun way to play ER even though I'm more of a GUGS guy. Just wish these two had more health as fighting them by weaving in your own attacks within their combos feels like the best thing ever but by doing so their healthbar gets decimated. And even Malenia is heightened by this, because in almost all of the combos she does, there is this one attack that's slow enough for every weapon to stagger her out and go ham on her. But you can't stunlock her either as she'll parry out. And many moves in the second phase can be followed up with an attack without having to wait for a finisher. For example, everytime she rises up in air before doing the rot explosion, you can hit her and roll away as well. You can actually safely hit her during waterfowl funnily enough. Particularly after the second volley.
@Googily Moogily Personally Malenia is firmly my favorite but Maliketh, along with Godfrey, Mohg, Morgott and probably Radagon all have spots in my top 10.
I really like the morgott boss fight. Beautiful arena beautiful soundtrack and moveset. Many people doesn't give him a credit as you do. So I am happy about you give him a credit in your list.
@@chadofastora I mean it would be really cool, but forced to fight, I don't think I wanna see her like that. And besides her radagon half is the one loyal to beast, so in a way radagon of the golden order is her being forced to fight us. I would honestly just prefer another radagon phase with a more extended moveset while toning down the current version
@@itsame7491 That’s fair, and ya I’d also easily just take another Radagon phase if given the choice. Or they could’ve just given us torrent for Elden beast since it’s still satisfying to “beat” an outer god
people joke about the long delays on some attacks in this game, but i just love how much more deliberate all the combos in this game feel compared to some of the more irritating ones in ds3, which resorts to rabid flailing a bit too often imo
Excellent list. I started playing Elden Ring again, from scratch, now on PC. I just killed Godrick. Really good boss fight. TBH, the only boss fight I didn't like was the Fire Giant.
I am SO HAPPY to see someone else appreciate the draconic tree sentinel. I never understood the hate for him. I see why they call you the chad of astora.
A lot of people went there with 20 Vig and Heal spammed expecting yo win. Except his fireballs cucked them of the win, making them salty. Mist others just fought him, though he was cool and moved on to cooler bosses.

Yay, a fellow Malenia enjoyer 👍 I like your video, though I respectfully disagree about the Elden Beast. I keep hearing people complain that he "runs away" from the player, but that seems like an odd way to interpret his behavior. The Elden Beast has about 20 attacks. Roughly half of these are melee attacks, and the other half are ranged magic attacks. If you're close to him, and his AI rolls a ranged attack, he needs to reposition for the attack to function properly. Sure, he could only use melee attacks when the player is in melee range, but then you'd never see any of his ranged attacks at all, which would be a shame given how cool they are. Plus, two of his "swim away" moments are scripted at 75% and 25% HP for the ring attacks (which are awesome), so those don't really count. I've fought the Elden Beast 60-something times, and every time, it feels like a dance. He uses a melee combo while I approach, I dodge and punish, he repositions for a magic attack, I dodge it and close the distance between us. As I get close, he uses another melee combo, rinse and repeat. And the arena isn't as big as it looks, so it never takes more than, like, 10 seconds to get back into melee range. tl;dr the Elden Beast is underrated. Great video, though! Liked and subscribed
Great list. Good approach, mixing gameplay and lore/music/arena/spectacle/presentation as factors. Its clear that gameplay is the most important one for you, which is fine. Wholeheartedly agree on the 1st place, good taste!
Elden was my first Fromsoft game. One of my favorite games of all time. Currently trying to finish Bloodborne for the 4th time 😅 Your videos are amazing. Your descriptions are insanely detailed and captivating, especially the one of Horah Loux in this video
My issue with Malenia is that she bores me, her stunning is inconsisten so I had to memorize the very specific ways to counter her. If I didn’t give Ancient Dragon in 2 a pass for that back in the day I won’t give it to her. It’s not challenging anymore just either tedious by basically copy-pasting my moves or a massacre on my part if i use ashes. And that life steal…. Man everything has already been said about her but nowadays I find it simply hilarious, like girl if you can suck my energy by hitting my shield just gently tap your helm or something and it’s GO. I mean if they wanted it to be super hard in an unbalanced way they came out short IMO and if they wanted it to be a sinchronized dance of steel or whatever they failed unless you stick yourself to extremely limited builds or strategies which personally kills my mood like hell.
My list will be something like: Radahn Mohg Maliketh Malenia Radagon Morgott Godfrey Margit Godrick Godskin apostle or bell bearing hunter Radahn is the crowing achievement of ER boss design, he feels the most unique to this game with the option of summons, torrent and jumping, even his favorite element gravity which only exists in elden ring, I like the creativity in his magic and how it alters his movset and I like how weird and heavy his attacks are, he along side mohg and maliketh are in my top 10 favorite fights across the whole franchise
6:05 sometimes I stall just to use the move where he tosses a golden spear then another right after, it's so fucking cool and fluid. I love him so much
i fought Malenia for the first time on like my 4th playthrough, quit pretty fast and two playthroughs later im on ng+6 and now fighting Malenia for real. i did start handicapped since its a harder difficulty, but Malenia, once you learn her abilities, is one of, if not the most fun boss in elden ring.
Honestly some of the mini bosses need more recognition, bell bearing hunter is such a fun fight and he's a great challenge. I spent so much time trying to beat him while underleveled and even through all of that I just couldnt complain.
I was new to this game, but i did not see the hype for maliketh. His moves do too much damage, but he doesn't have enough health. His first phase is pretty underwhelming, and he moves way too much for a proper melee build to fight him. He's always in the air and I'm using pillars to avoid his ranged attacks. His design is top tier for sure, but mechanically he's a b tier for me. Mohg is easily my favorite boss, followed by godfrey and placidusax (for spectacle) malenia is great too, but waterfowl dance is awful. Remove that or make her steal less health, and it would be an easy s tier fight for me
How is Rykard's theme "the most unique in the series" when Maiden Astraea (PS3), Tower Knight (PS3) and Gwyn exist?? Fuck, even in Elden Ring itself, the Ancestor Spirit theme, while generic in spirit, is way more unique for the series than whatever Rykard's theme is supposed to represent
You probably won’t see this because it’s a 6 months old video but Malenia is definitely the best boss in elden ring for these 3 reasons. She’s the most sekiro like boss She praises your skill for beating her And her backstory is easily top 5 in the game
My top 3 (based on presentation, enjoyment, and quality in general) are 1) Radahn 2) Maliketh 3) Mohg My top 3 (based on my favorite/enjoyment to fight/their moveset) are 1) Mohg 2) Radagon (removing elden beast cuz its absolute garbage) 3) Godfrey
23:45 "it makes it so that slow weapons are actually viable" lmao what?? I can't tell if this is supposed to be a joke or not. You sound completely serious so I guess it's not. Big strength weapons are more than just "viable" I think they actually make the game a lot easier than smaller weapons.
Godrick S Tier boss in my opinion, my only complaint is that compared to other bosses he's given breadcrumbs amount of lore despite him in my eyes being the most interesting. He just makes me wanna know more about him and how things would've been if his family weren't a bunch of a--holes pushing him down for his natural frail lack of strength. I would die for this man and lay waste to all that wish to harm him, even if the odds were completely against me I would stand for him to my last breath.
I wish I could click with Malenia like others can but I just can’t enjoy it, Waterfowl just ends feeling like too much of a disruption. If it weren’t for that and the healing, I’d probably have a lot of fun with it :/
i never understood the hype behind mohg, his arena and move set are cool n all but any boss w an unavoidable attack (nihil) is poorly designed imo. i get that late game you have a lot of flasks anyway, but the fact that you literally cannot dodge it is just a cheesy mechanic.
I really hoped that Malenia was not on the list even though I expected her to be here. Souls players are generally suckers for knight-like enemies and immense challenges, and I do understand her appeal. That said, to me her fight is completely ruined by waterfowl dance. The rest is already difficult enough, and I do believe her fight would be near perfect without it (she also dodges almost all projectiles which is bullshit but I can forgive that). I have beat all DS games, Sekiro, Hollowknight, Blasphemous 1&2 amongst other "souls like" games that emphasize on difficult bosses that are meant to be tried again and again. I have tried certain bosses for hours before beating them and on every occasion I found myself thrilled with the adrenaline the fights brought. I don't even want to admit how many times I had to try beating Nightmare King Grimm in Hollowknight and it stuck out as one of the best boss fights in any game I have played. Malenia manages to break that rule by tying one of the most obnoxious attacks to dodge with likely instadeath damage into an already difficult boss. It reached the point for me where I could take the whole fight flawless but my inability to dodge that attack rendered my progress feel useless. She is the only boss in any game I have played so far that I cheesed with mimic tear and bleed&frost, and I blame the game for this, which I normally don't. I believe that even annoying enemies with seemingly bad design can overall affect the game in a positive way, just for the sake of novelty and being memorable, also because it adds to the atmosphere if some areas are particularly scary to cross even for veterans. For example I love the original bonewheels, even if their damage had no reason being this punishing. I even like Capra Demon's design for the same reasons and more. But this logic simply doesn't work in a positive way for me when instead of an annoying enemy you apply it to a single move of the area's boss, especially when it is late game and you have likely reached your peak level of efficiency. Instakill attacks have to be either very well telegraphed, slow, or at least they should leave the boss in a very vulnarable state. Otherwise, they should not deal that much damage. Waterfowl dance does nothing that would make the attack fair and she just heals on top of everything, so even if you manage to survive, she still manages to come massively ahead of you. The sheer difficulty of this move has no organic learning curve, completely jeopardizes the pacing of the fight, and does not reward the player in any way. I can see why if you learn to dodge it perfectly and train yourself a million times for the fight why it is extremely satisfying to overcome the challenge, but why would the player enjoy getting there? The game does not provide you with the proper information to dodge it correctly, you just figure it out randomly by eating it to the face and dying in the process. That results to a very tedious process that the average player does not want to go through. The trick in theory is :run away or around her depending on how close she is, roll into her, forwards and then backwards. How does the game expect the player to figure out this exact pattern of moves when they are given no indication? A series of three identical flurries of blows does not make sense to require this exact sequence of actions. The funny part is that she does have a finely designed possible instakill attack: the lunging grab where she stabs you afterwards. That attack is fair because she telegraphs it well, giving you ample time to dodge, and the action required to avoid it is a simple roll on the side in the correct moment. It is swift enough to provide a challenge, but nothing that breaks the experience. TLDR I feel it is horrible game design if a boss fight is completely overwhelmed by one move to the point where you have to adjust your whole learning experience to a single instakill instead of the fight as a whole, and it is a shame because she could have been easily one of my favourites if only that attack was fair.
All the bosses would be amazing if the player wasnt so slow and clumsy. We are supposed to be the Elden Lord but most of what we do is flee instead of fighting the bosses like the Lords we are.
because you don't need to fight gherman again to fight moon presence, emma has her own remembrance so you can fight her by herself, and same deal with genichiro
@@skoogadoo I get your point but at the end of the day its the same. You have to fight 2 different bosses in a row. They shouldnt be put together. And no emma doesnt have her own memory, its count as 1 fight and you only get isshin memory
Elden Beast would have been way better if it was a separate fight from Radagon for special endings, and if they had let you use Torrent against it; that arena would have been perfect for Torrent idk why you can't summon them for it
Draconic Tree Sentinel What? I laughed so hard, exactly what popped in my head as well xd I disagree with a lot of your points (Malenia being the first) the video is well done!
Regardless of them being really cool LOOKING fights, I hate Mohg, Radahn and Rykard. You said, the blood on the ground is good to make player think where they are dodging at. I don't agree with it, not totally. Maybe if it was as chill as Morgott's, I would agree. But splashing it over a huge area is annoying AF. Radahn being a huge beast but moving fast AF is stupid. Camera doesn't even let you see what he does. After a few tries, his movesets becomes predictible, but still bad. Also some attacks has bad hitboxes. Like that gravity magic shockwave attack.
I know this is your own personal opinion, and I’ve seen this take very often, but I think it’s wrong for a youtuber to tell everyone else their complaints about Malenia are invalid when said youtuber needed to beat the game 500 times and fight her 500 times just to figure out they actually enjoy her. I’ve seen so many RU-vidrs trash her, then after 3 months of likely tirelessly playing the game and mastering every boss, say they were wrong and that she’s great. That’s cool and all, but for one thing, RU-vidrs are generally much more skilled and experienced than the general population, and also the general population is not willing to run through the game this many times to where it becomes second nature. As for Malenia, I mean she has the Waterfowl issue that cannot be denied. Entire RU-vid videos are made to break down this attack. If you’re up close to her, you’re basically guaranteed to get hit by it unless you can trick the AI. And getting hit by it is basically a one-shot kill every time, and if by some miracle you do live, she will have healed half her health back anyways. The rest of the fight is fun and pretty challenging, but this one attack is just gamebreaking. I find it dumb. Great video though and I enjoyed it a lot! I actually agree with a fair amount of the list too. Godfrey is awesome, Mohg is fantastic, Morgott is great as well. Those would likely be my top 3.
Surprised you don’t have Placidusax on the list, but yeah he’s not the best dragon fight in the series and doesn’t have the best dragon OST in the game either (Fortissax goes hard). My top 10 would be : 10. Placidusax 9. Godrick 8. Rykard 7. Radahn 6. Godfrey 5. Radagon / Elden Beast 4. Morgott 3. Malenia 2. Mohg 1. Maliketh
People starts to like malenia the more they fight her but for me it's the opposite, I really loved her fight on my first playthrough it was top 5 for me , it only took me six attempts but it was quite intense but on my second and third playthrough it's just felt too long, it's still took me 6 to 7 tries to beat her in each playthrough but it felt longer and more boring especially in the first phase I don't know if it's my playstyle or is it that she has too much hp and not much variety in her moveset like in the first phase she only has like 5 or 6 moves and on the second she adds three new moves that's unlike bosses like maliketh or Godfrey which have two drastically different phases or bosses like morgott who has 7000 move and I keep seeing new moves everytime I fight him ( these are my top 3 by the way) Malenia fight drags for too long not just because of life steal but because of her already insanely large health pool ( the same as the final boss) add life steal to that she can have an amount similar to fire giant which is ridiculous considering her smaller moveset also the pacing of the fight in the first phase is so slow and in the second phase its faster and better but she can one shot you easily and make you go through the first phase again I don't hate the fight I just wish she had less hp maybe she would have been also my number 1 favorite boss but now getting to her and fighting feels more like a chore similar to fighting demon of hatred in sekiro
Milenia is one of my least favorites in an entire series actually. Same reason why I am not a fan of fume knight phase one. Bit too much bullshit with no rhyme or reason. There be times I can take on her entire phase 1 hitless, then other times she decides that I am doing too good and goes into her anime bullshit flying attack (yes I know what's its called but I call it anime bullshit) the into her 4 hit combo retract blade, into another 4 hit combo retract blade, into some other combo into some other combo and it's like dude... not only I legit run out of stamina dodging all that shit two combos ago but also do I get to fucking play the game? Also as you said, sometimes she just ignores stagger and then other times some combos will hit you just because whe pulls then out mid punish and now you can't dodge... all in all, with all that horse shit, she is no where near the perfection of the knight fight. More like a compilation of really bad design choices. Nothing about her feels rewarding to me. Oh I know how to dodge or knock her out of anime bullshit move? Feels tedious, not rewarding. The safest way to fight her is with greatsword type of weapons, punishing only about half of her moves, and only going for more than one attack if you landed the critical after the stagger. Any more aggression besides that and you might just get one tapped cause milenia the blade of bs here decided that its time to ignore stagger and insta kill you with flying monkey move that you now can't dodge because you were mid swing when she started it.
Best boss fight 1. Radahn 2. mohg lord of blood 3. the black blade malekith 4. Radagon 5. Godfrey 6. Dragonlord placidusax 7 . Godrick the Grafted 8 . Rykard 9. Fire giant 10. Morgott
Honestly the only boss in this game worth anything is Malenia. All the rest are all overtuned, AOE spamming trash mobs that I can't stand fighting. The only correct way to do an Elden Ring top 10 is to have slots 10 - 2 be empty and Malenia at 1.
honestly i like to think of malenia as a sort of secret super boss in a JRPG (which a souls-like technically is) just this really hard boss that is just really hard to beat though obv i get hella mad when i try to fight her because i'm a wuss
I legit thought you were making a joke with #1 at first. I understand people have opinions, and I will respect yours, even if I cannot at all understand how anyone could enjoy a boss who actively breaks the established rules of the game
Commenting late but None of the rules that people talk about have ever been set by the developer. And for some like me, the very nature of her being so different from other bosses yet fitting well with the game's mechanics makes her the best. Not everything has to follow a rulebook to be good for someone.
@@lucasrichardson3434 Well, at the end of the day, I do disagree, but your opinion is very reasonable, her design isn’t technically very impressive, and there’s not much to her compared to others. I could also see people being tired of all the fans who just like her because booba
I think her lore is one of the best personally. My only problem is the learning process being frustrating and the healing on hit being unnecessary as good players don’t get hit and bad players just get heavily punished.
I can't wait for the DLC, and hopefully it being so good that all of its bosses will be ever better than Malenia, who is literally the peak From Software boss. She is right up there with Orphan of Kos, Ludwig, Lady Maria, Gael, Midir, Friede and Ariandel, Nameless King, Sword Saint Isshin.
@@chadofastora Honestly I’m really hoping we get more of Melania in some way during the DLC, she’s such a fun and epic character that i’d hate to see sidelined
The problem people have with the difficulty is. Most people have jobs, and kids to deal with. They cannot spend 100+ attempts on a single boss. Even big RU-vidrs/streamers. Maybe they are committed to it but who is gonna sit there and actually watch it? I surely wouldn't.
How I feel about your picks: 10. Godrick; There is one attack in phase 2 that is a bit questionable, the walking fire breath, if you're caught in the middle where you can't get behind him or get far enough away from him you're pretty much screwed. Other than that great fight. 9. Draconic; Loretta is the better fight IMO, this one kind of sucks, the fireball spam at range is just tedious, not the worst, but can't escape D-Tier. 8. Radagon/Elden Beast; I don't like either part of this fight that much, the damaging teleports and the parry that you leave out are some of the most bullshit design choices. Also I don't feel like I'm getting better with this fight, rather the RNG is showing me mercy, also so the AoE's are overkill. Radagon's aggression is so RNG heavy that it ruins the fight Ironically Elden Beast is the more consistent part for me, don't get me wrong as it still sucks, however 7. Rykard; IMO the best boss in the game, aside from the attack at 8:38 (how the hell did you dodge it?) and the skull rain the fight is amazing. Also thanks to some great tools there are other options to use alongside the Serpent-Hunter to make it more than just use the gimmick weapon to win. 6. Morgott; This fight is a mixed bag for me, I don't outright hate it, but I don't love it either, the aggression is the issue, that and the combos. I still find Margit to be the better fight. 5. Radahn; I find this fight a bit overrated, but not that bad, in my top 5 bosses as well, however the rocks in phase 2 resulted in a death that felt pretty cheap and I'm not the biggest fan of the insta-kill nature of the meteor attack. If I had to place it into a tier it would be either near the top of B-Tier or the lower end of A-Tier. Note that there isn't a single boss in Elden Ring that I consider S-Tier 4. Godfrey; This fight feels like it was designed to piss me off, don't get me wrong the fight starts out strong, but the moment the AoE's start hitting the entire arena the fight COMPLETELY falls apart for me, it just becomes a tedious slog. The repetitive nature of having to either roll or jump EVERY SINGLE TIME he decides to stomp his foot gets old REAL quick. Phase 2 only makes me like the fight even less, as while it does away with the EXCESSIVE AoE spam, it replaces it with something even worse, grab spam. Don't get me wrong, I love a good flashy grab attack, but when they're spammed so much it sucks SO much of the fun out of the fight, yes the AoE's aren't ANYWHERE near as big of a problem in phase 2. The tedium of dealing with the constant grabs gets old, this issue stems from the Chained Ogre from Sekiro and the Guardian Ape phase 1 to a lesser extent, I don't have issues with those fight these days as much, but the tedium of dealing with frequent grabs left a negative view on grab-heavy bosses. Also I don't exactly look forward to fighting them either. Dial back my issues with both phases and you'd have a solid fight, however as it stands this fight is a tedious slog the moment phase 1.5 starts. So glad that it's just one health bar as opposed to two. 3. Mohg, Lord of Blood; IMO one of the worst bosses FromSoftware has ever designed, the bloodflame is complete bullshit and is excessive in phase 2, the mid-fight heal feels like an insult to the player for making progress. Oh and he's responsible for one of the most bullshit deaths that I've ever experienced. This is also one of several bosses that I don't feel like I'm getting better at, rather that RNG is showing me mercy. 2.Maliketh; Another F-Tier trash boss, there is a broken hitbox that got me, the Blasphemous Claw is unreliable (can 'parry' while still getting hit, gave up on using it because of that) and the Destined Death DoT debuff is one of the most bullshit things in the game with how it stacks (being able to kill you in a way that you can't really react to). That and phase 1 is also pretty shitty, his theme may be, also his speed makes Orphan look passive. More health would have probably resulted in Elden Ring being the only FromSoftware game that I've played so far that I never beat. Like Radagon and Mohg, this is another fight that I feel like I'm getting lucky with RNG. The only positive thing that I can say about this fight is that the soundtrack is one of the best that has been put into a FromSoftware game, shame that it's tied to a garbage boss. 1. Bitch; Worst, FromSoft, boss ever, yes worse than Bed of Chaos, as at least with that fight the bullshit is predictable. Never have a felt less like I overcame a boss than got lucky with RNG than on my second ever kill of this bitch, 1 Waterfoul Dance in phase 1, meaning that I didn't use too much healing and my summon (Tiche) made it to phase 2, where so proceeded to make frequent use of the Scarlet Aeonia attack, allowing me to spam spells at range and kill her that way. Everything wrong with Elden Ring's boss design (aggression, cheap gimmicks, overkill damage) reek at every single aspect of this miserable fight, the only mercy is that she's optional. I'm legitimately worried for the DLC bosses if the miserable endgame bosses (Placidusax and Fire Giant as well) are anything to go by, outside of Loretta and Nial, all of the other notable endgame bosses are at best D-Tier and go down from there.
