Hi, I just wanted to mention for others who are watching from the United States that Lily of the Valley is an invasive species in many US locations. I adore the scent and look of them, but recently found out that it chokes the life out of native life in my area. Unfortunately, I've got a ton of work ahead to remove massive mats of this plant. Thanks for the video. Lots of lovely plants for me research further.

Brunnera & coral bells has spike flowers that are worth mentioning for shade areas. I would also love to grow Solomon seal this year if I can find some.

Here are a few recommended varieties: PJM Rhododendron (Rhododendron 'PJM'): This hybrid is well-suited to zone 7a and can tolerate partial shade. It produces vibrant pink or lavender flowers in early spring and has attractive evergreen foliage. Catawba Rhododendron (Rhododendron catawbiense): This native rhododendron variety is suitable for zones 4-8 and can handle partial to full shade. It produces large, showy clusters of purple, pink, or white flowers in late spring. What is full shade One side of my 2 storey house has full sun from morning till evening. Is that full sun? One side is hid from the sun from morning till evening. Is that full shade or low light or indirect sunlight? I have carport in the middle of my yard, it casts shade all day, I can still see and read under it when I lie down there out of sun. Is that full shade indirect sunlight or? I have a windowless fibro shed, I can still clearly see my way round in the daytime. Is that fullshade low light or indirect sunlight?

Simple Definitions of Light Level 🌞✨👌 ✔️ Full sun means that the sun is out for at least 6 hours a day. ✔️ Part sun: 4 to 6 hours of direct sun a day, including some afternoon sun. ✔️ Part shade: 4 to 6 hours of direct sun a day, mostly in the morning. ✔️ Full shade means that you get less than 4 hours of direct sun a day.
