Can you please do top 10 super soldiers I got a few names for you Captain America, the winter soldier, death stroke, rose Wilson, Deadpool taskmaster, red guardian, red star, captain Adam, major force.
I might be in the minority here, but I didn't like most of Emily's outfits that much. There were a few that were cute (I liked the black dress that she wore to the ballet, the gingham short suit, and the green coat with the scarf), but I found most of them to be too flashy and over the top. I loved Camille's wardrobe, however.
Almost all of ther clothing was absolutely ridicolous. She also wore so much Chanel. How exactly was she supposed to afford that? And transporting all of that clothing from the US to France, only to wear it once? She looked so tacky.
@@magda010195 That bothered me too. Granted it's not unusual for TV characters to have wardrobes they would never be able to afford in real life, but at least don't give her a different Chanel purse for every day of the week lol. It was definitely a stretch, especially since we know she doesn't come from a wealthy family.
Me too. I think they were going for the “Blair Waldorf” vibe for Emily but she looked unfashionable. Camille and Sylvie really do look chic. The different luxury bag on a daily basis is also distracting. Makes you think how she can afford those.
@@DIYSuccessPH Yeah, I agree. Blair's outfits were also a bit over the top at times, but they were always styled well and they made sense for the character. Emily's style just felt like a bad imitation of the Carrie Bradshaw/Blair Waldorf look.
Her "style" might work on USA, but here in France nobody dresses like that, she mixed too much colors and patrons, it was always too much, not even mentioning her "shiny personality" most people here that i had heard of, doesnt like how she dresses and other mistakes of the tv show, like everyone talking english, that would literaally never ever happend, or drinking very casual at one of the most expensives terraces of Paris, no way.
Clearly its for "American's" no doub about that, France is France so i dunno kitschy or not but we can still criticise it, and we should, its interesting how much has given to talk this show
Wearing anything with the Eiffel tower on it in Paris will let everyone know exactly what you are... a tourist! Not a great look at all on your first day at work.
Me and my friends are french, and we watched this show together. We all thought how bad her outfits looked. There are so kitsch She mixes patterns that don’t fit together And colours as well. I was very surprised by her looks because they have such an outfit budget because it’s an important thing in the show but all her outfits were horrible. Honestly for me Camille is the one that dressed the best, I loved her outfits the most And yes the show has clichés but all tv Netflix shows do so let’s not make a big deal about it I enjoyed this show I thought that it was cool to have a spotlight from Netflix on my country
Her outfits are awful except the black opera gown. Some clothes she wears are nice but put all together look bad. Too much color too much pattern. She manages to make a Chanel bag look cheap. I hope she would evolve and adopt a more low key parisian style. I like Sylvie and Camille's styles though.
Agree, also Emily was by far and away my least favourite character. Who moves to a foreign country, doesn't speak the language and expects the culture to change according to their needs? Not to mention what she did to Camille!
Most of emily's outfits were loud and ugly. Also the hairstyle made her look too prim and proper IMO. On the contrary Camille's outfits were super chic. Not a fan of Sylvie's sky-high slits but overall her office outfits were awesome. Oh and some of the Mindy's outfits were pretty cool too. btw, is it me or does Emily resemble dr.dray the popular youtube dermatologist ?
My favorite was the green dress with the beige trench coat that Sylvie was wearing. And that bright fuchsia wool and cashmere coat is stunning! I also liked Emily’s off the shoulder blue floral dress with the black belt.
Yeah! I think people definitely criticise it too much. I’m French, so i know there’s a LOT of french cliches and things that really don’t make sense. If you watch it as a french person, then yeah- the show is shitty. Emily is a full blown American trying to fit into her version of what she thinks Paris is like- personally i’ve never seen ANYONE dress as Campy as she did. but it kind of reinforces the fact that “Emily in Paris” is a show that’s being filmed through the eye of Emily and how she interprets France. The Show is shit if you take it seriously as a french person. However it’s amazing to watch through the eye of how Americans stereotype France.
I enjoyed the movie...but the fashion was left to be desired. Only Camille was really dressed Parisian and cool. Otherwise didn’t really like Emily’s looks.
I didn't like Emily's clothes as much they were all too colourful. On the other hand Sylvie's every outfit was soooo good. I mean just so effortlessly sexy and chic.
Most of my fav outfits were Camille's, Sylvie's wardrobe is what I aspire to have when I'm middle-aged and Emily did have some cute outfits, like her two-piece gingham set, Audrey Hepburn dress, and the black tulle dress in the second episode. So elegant and adorable.
I absolutely in love with this show! It’s really show’s how person feels when moving to new country, I moved to London a year ago it’s so like it! Very similar emotions! Especially since my work in the same field, I withmy love to gossip girl. This is my new tv series idol - light, informative, relatable
I love her outfits, but it’s not really realistic 😂 She could have worn cheeper clothes and still look amazing. I would have loved that for a change. Especially because I can’t afford her clothes 💔
What about Mindy’s beautiful off shoulder puff sleeve dress? She wears it in the episode where Emily is in champagne. And there’s another off the shoulder pink and green floral dress Emily wears that reminds me of gardens in Paris. Both outfits are so effortlessly beautiful and classic, reminiscent of the city in spring 🌸
@@MsMojo tayler Swift, she got so much hate for Tom McGraw and for what he was 30 and she was a teenager she also gets hate for writing songs about her relationships but most artists do that because artists make music based off their experiences.
People are missing the point when they say Emily's style and clothes are too bold. That's the point. They mirror her personality, no subtlety. I admired some of the weird combinations as I doubt I'd ever be that bold but she was able to pull a lot of it off. Love the outfits when she went to St. Tropiez, love the yellow dress, and love the pink flowered sweater I think from S3.
Emily's dress would look cool in New York but in France she had to experiment with black , beige and white mostly . That's my official dresscode .But i loved camille's outfits and mindy's casuals were pretty nice too
Idk why everyone hates so much on her outfits. Like that’s the point, she’s not Parisian, she’s american and she dresses however she wants, in this case, however the director and stylists for the show wants her to wear. I actually really liked her outfits, they’re outstanding and fun, yeah, they’re some pieces that don’t go together, but overall, that’s what fashion is, mixing whatever you want. And why the heck are Parisians so dry and mean? 💀
I loved a green floral dress she wears when she makes a post about the vagina being femenine not masculine and gets retweeted by a famous businesswoman. (Not the same as in the honorable mentions).
"her outfits are too american" no DUHH she literally just moved to paris obviously her wardrobe isn't going to be paris like outfits, the stylist could of given her a paris look but she legit JUST moved to paris also its just a SHOW!!!!!!
You see the difference is that carrie has the confidence to wear sonething so daring, and even if she is not the prettiest woman in the world she is still elegant. Emily is not, she walks like a child and you can see she is discomfortable, nobody is inspired by her, not Carrie tough or even Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. Emily has no carisma.
to be honest I get it, Emily dresses like an american in Paris but thats the point but we see that Emily gradually start to transition into a more Parisian look. the outfits Emily wears art bad just not Parisian.Patricia fields clearly dresses Emily like Blair and serina from gossip girl, as there the characters fashion icons. but she's not untalented as she knows French fashion shown in Camilles and well everyone else style, but the more Emily does well in her job we see her dress more Parisian, like the totoue dress from episode 1 the ballet dress her green outfit and others that accompany scenes where she does well in her job. I honestly won't be surprised that if by the end Emily starts to dress more like Silvy
