Well, according to the rankings prepared by magazines, Harvard rarely tops any world university rankings. However, it's undoubtedly the most prestigious university in the world and international applicants usually choose Harvard as their first choice
!!* js because these are the best, don’t js apply to random good colleges js bc they’re the best, apply for the good colleges that suits u! Your academic, major, and life style! Find which college has the best to offer on your own path. Also another college recommendation is UCLA!
The picture of cal tech is UCLA and also you write university of California which isn’t really a college, it’s a group of state schools. From the picture I assume u meant UC Berkeley
Indian in comment section commenting nalanda. You people are still stuck in past and never contribute anything in future just leave it and focus on current scenario
This was of 2022 List has been changed as for 2023 - There is one asian University in top 10 Universities #8 - National University of Singapore (NUS) Singapore is not a western country
The west is rich and with money you can buy knowledge and get good institutions. The fact that the US and UK are English speaking countries helps too because that makes it easier for international students to come there (note that it’s all UK/US. Other western countries like Germany and France aren’t on here either)
I don't understand why you people live in past, now it not exist anymore,, I even can't imagine you are living in a big illusion,,, that indias nalanda Or iit are top colleges
@@Anonymous................1 first of all nalanda have re-opened and nobody can deny the fact that nalanda was the greatest university of all time if you want us to forget our history then you should also forget about ramayan and Mahabharat
Hey brother,Nalanda University was, in my opinion, the greatest in the world for a brief period of time, from the fifth to the thirteenth century. And at that time, Nalanda University was the best place to practice knowledge and science. But now that a lot of time has passed, that era is no more. But over time, European nations undergo significant self-development. But Indians have gone backwards a lot. compared to them. But in reality These rankings are nothing. India has made contributions to history. It would be better if we put aside our disagreements and consider how we might advance our loving nation. Although I'm not from India. Love from Bangladesh .
🐇 . .. … I am here 4 June 2024 #terrencehoward is trending changing the world at this very moment what a wonderful thing to see… Thanks for the opportunity love for all…#terrecnehoward is a genius💎👁️…#strongertogether💯

no way harvard is first. And no way oxford is so low. Acoording to the QS World ranking It's MIT, Imperial, Oxford, Harvard, Cambridge, Standford, ETH, NUS, UCL and Caltech. Please at least provide with true info
The biggest University in the world was Nalanda University . But now we lost . We don't forget the burning books 🔥 of six months . 🇮🇳 This is our history . We don't forget this university and also who did this to us .

Stop living in delusion, no one asked about you and your nalanda university, second it is gone now and not exist anymore and making a university and naming it nalanda dont make it best university and even if it existed it will be like the other colleges of india due to currupted politicians, hope you accept the reality
If you look it up properly with legit Wes sites, it’s still the USA have the most in top 10 and England have a couple top 5. 🤷🏻♀️ I don’t know what else to tell you lol.

Ranks are prepared using a variety of factors - number of international students , funding, research impact, etc. A universities primary focus is teaching and research impact. Indian universities and various amazing European universities don't make the list because they dont care about numbers and arbitrary ranks, but only focus on one of the following - research or teaching. Addionally, these ranks are prepared by UK and US particularly catering to UK and US universities. That is why you dont find good german colleges, Indian colleges, singaporean colleges etc. On the list.
@@homeland_fitness8431 You are correct. However, I am not sure what ranking site this video is referring to. The most popular one is QS news, which takes the effort of updating each metric and rankings year on year. Also, NUS from Singapore is no. 8 globally, and NTU is top-30. IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi have both entered top-50 on QS ranking for Engineering and Technology. However, it is important to understand that college rankings are an assumption after a certain point. The best university for you depends on what you need in you education.
@@smarthkapoor7313 Fair point and I do agree with most of what you said. I'd also like to mention - recently UoZ - Uni of Zurich pulled out from the QS rankings I think (not sure if it was Times but I am sure it was one of the two - QS/Tmes) for the same reason. I think more Universities and higher-ups are starting to realize that once rankings become a standard they don't measure the effectiveness of a education hub because universities will probably try to find the easiest way to make it to the top rather than focusing on the pillars of the educations system itself. Moreover consider the fact that majority of good Euro-Unis and even Japanese and Singaporean (NUS in particular) Unis offer free education, abundant partial scholarships and even if you don't get one they are a much better value in terms of the skills you obtain versus the money you spend on living and tuition. UK/US Unis charge almost 3x the tuition fee from an international student and the skills you pick up versus the money you spend is not really economical in my opinion. I study at the Uni of Glasgow and I recently got a fully funded scholarship at the Max Planck Institute in Germany. I cant speak for everyone but in my experience and most of my friends here - learning is mostly independent and you're much better off learning in a place that offers a better deal rather than a bigger tag and a name.
@@homeland_fitness8431 85% seats are reserved, we can’t expect iit to be even in top 100 with so much reservation, introducing reservation in MIT will lower their ranking too
