LOVE your list! My first Batman figure was the CA Batman but what changed my life was the day I saw the brand new Mego Batman with RC hanging out of a solid box on a spin rack next to a checkout lane. Pure heaven on earth!! Mego Batmans and Corgi Batmobiles compiled such a huge part of my life. I will never forget them and of course keep plenty in my collection today! Excellent review! I must add your taste is impeccable!!

Glad to see DC Comics and Warner Bros are finally giving Bill Finger credit as Batman's co-creator. Bob Kane came up with the idea of a guy dressed as a bat, fighting crime, but it was Bill Finger who literally created everything else that was memorable. Batman's look, Robin, the bat mobile, the Bacave, the Joker, the Penguin, the Riddler, Commissioner Gordon, Gotham City - all of those things came from the mind of Bill Finger. Great video anyway. Informative and fun as ever.

Great video sir! How the Batman squirt gun ever made it onto the market was beyond me! Hilarious and disturbing at the same time! Great list..I did have the utility belt , I was 5 years old.. It did not stand the test of time.. My brother and I played the Hell out of that thing! We had the costumes as well..fun times.

Another great video, many thanks Tony. Still have the Corgi Batmobile, with pull trailer and the Batboat,....in the box . It was and is the coolest. Had the Captain Action, and really wanted that Utility Belt,...but it wasn't meant to be in the 60's. Too bad a child didn't have the funds to buy his own toys. I suppose that is why they are so sought after as was become older,....a bit of our youth to hold on to. Good memories,...thank you for your site and content.

Thank you for your informative and very interesting videos. As a child of the 70’s, I whole heartedly agree with your list, Batman is my favorite superhero character, and I loved the 66 TV show and cartoons. The 8” Mego Batman, especially the removable cowl version, would also top my list.

Thanks again for another great video, Mr. Analog Toys. I also consider myself an analog person in a digital world. I have practically every item Mego produced for the 8 inch Batman figures, with the exception of the Wayne Foundation, that I doubt I could ever afford. I'm very happy to again own the Jokermobile and Mobile Bat Lab. I even have the Fist-fighting and removable cowl versions of Batman. It took awhile, but I managed to find the very rare 9 inch Robin on Ebay. And I agree that the Magnetic Batman and Robin are among the best Batman toys. I have two of each. The Remco Batman figures are good too.

Remember having a fight with my brother many, many years ago over his Corgi bat mobile. Think I was trying to get it off him and while we were fighting he had it in his hand and whacked me with it. The rear near side quarter with the pointy bat wing went straight into the palm of my hand. Blood everywhere and I’ve still got the scar to this day almost 50 years later. Happy, happy memories.

Don’t have vintage Batman toys, but in recent years I’ve collected vehicles made by Hot Wheels. Have the beautiful 1:18 scale 1966 and 1989 live action Batmobiles. 1:50 scale 1966 Batboat, Batcopter and my favorite, the Batcycle. Also have a 1:64 ‘66 TV Batmobile. The 1:50 Tumbler and 4” ‘66 Batman action figure from DC Multiverse. He’s very muscular. Not really supposed to look like Adam West. Just has the same suit and he’s really from the Arkham Night video game. But looks superb.

Never knew Stan Weston was behind Capt. Action. Killer toy!! Ideal Toys and Aurora Plastics were local toy companies to where I used to live. Capt. Action was revived twice by the same company. In late 90s by Playing Mantis. It looked like the old Ideal. Only had a few costumes like Flash Gordon, Lone Ranger and Green Hornet Then more recently under it's New name Round2 LLC, it came back with an all new sculpt and body, and licensing of Marvel. All costumes were like Capt. America, Iron Man, etc. Collect all "Deluxe" costumes, you'd get to have Hawkeye costume.

The sad part for me is that i had all those toys when i was growing up! Now i wish i have them again! I would be making a fortune! One other Batman toy that people or hardly know or you hardly find or see anymore, are the fun things Batman jiggler from 1966, i used to love those! Now They're very hard to find or get! In the period of 15 year's i have found 6 of them, and one is robin, robin is the hardest and rarer to find. I also found the bootleg ones, but i had to pay premium dollars for all of them. Indeed all of those mentioned are some of the best collection. Great video!✌😎👍

Gorgi Batmobile at No 1 for me only because I had it and it's playability was immense. I had a rubber latex batman mask/hood from Hamleys in around 1971, that was purely amazing although it would sadly probably be mistaken for a gimps mask today.

I bought the Superpowers Batman action figure (4), from the local Shell gas station in 1988. For some reason, the station was carrying limited numbers of these figures. I was twenty and bought Batman because he had been my favourite character as a child. I went back that day and purchased others and managed to get the complete set over the following weeks. I was blown away by these figures, as they were exactly like the DC Comics at the time. Your #3 pick, the Corgi Batmobile should be number one in my opinion, along with the Batboat and the Batcopter, they were absolutely amazing!!!

I would've added the 1966 Marx Magnetic Gotham City, the 1966 Marx Batman Flashy Flickers filmstrip projector, (It was shaped like a laser rifle), & the 1966 Emenee Batman Electric Drawing Set, (It was a plastic lightbox with stencils for tracing so you could create your own comics scenes). But overall, I do agree with most of your choices!!!! There was SOOOOOOOOO MUCH Batman stuff produced over the years, (ESPECIALLY in 1966 ALONE!!!!!) it would be almost IMPOSSIBLE to list em all!!!!! (LOL)

Great video! 1 - The Wayne Foundation, like the Mego Catwoman costume, was an oddity from a brief period of the 1970's. Dick went off to college, and Bruce was inspired to move closer to the city he protected, and so started living in the penthouse of the WF Tower, and having a smaller Bat-lair within. Back then, 'bold changes' took a while before they got reset to status quo. Probably happened about the same time Green K came back in Superman and Diana got her powers back. 2 - Honorable Mention to what is, IMHO, the BEST plastic Batmobile ever, the Kenner Super Powers made for scale with your # 5 entry. As Cameo Man used to put it, Nuff Said. 3 - I lamented the lack of Bat-merch from his very earliest period, since he started in 1939 and the two noted tinplate toy makers we kind of went to war with. By the time hostilities ended, Batman was a different character. So I took a tin repro Bugatti T-35 and made it into a car the 1939 Batman might have used, complete with turning the driver into a big-eared old-school Batman. I'd love to see a pro take on the job.

Honestly, Corgi Batmobile and Mego Batman will always fight it out for the #1 spot in my mind. Corgi nailed everything in that vehicle, and it was the ultimate vehicle toy of it's era, even better then their Aston Martin Bond car. I'm always thrown for a loop when the word 'vintage' is used in these lists...I have no idea when the World becomes vintage instead of contemporary anymore!!!!!!!!!

Hey Tony. I thought I'd save the best for last. Batman is my number one all time favorite Super Hero and Robin (Dick Grayson version) is my number 2. I definitely agree with number one on your list. Batman was the first Mego figure I ever got back in 1977 and oddly enough, my second Mego was Robin. I also love #9 on your list. I love the Mego Magnetic Batman & Robin, I had them as a kid and I proudly have them now. And I have the crown jewel of the Mego Collection. As a kid, I got the Mego Wayne Foundation Playset, and to this day, I still have it It's nice to have a collectible ite m in the thousand dollar price range in terms of value and worth. And I love the Kenner Super Powers Batman figure as well as Robin, the Joker, and the Penguin. What really influences me on collecting Batman figures, is that with the blue & grey costumed version, I prefer the matching blue trunks, henceforth one of the reasons I love the Super Powers Batman so much. That comes from being a huge fan of both Batman cartoons by Filmation and the long running SuperFriends series by Hanna Barbera. For my favorite list, I personally love the Batman AHI Parachutist figurine for that same reason, Blue trunks, plus the transparent plastic cape and the Bat Emblem sticker. I always wanted a Robin Parachutist figurine, but I never found him as a kid. It wasn't until years later that I found just a loose figurine, but no cape, emblem, or parachute, but I have him now with a custom made cape and emblem. I also love the Remco Energized Batman and his transparent plastic cape, If I ever get one, I will paint the black trunks blue. I only wish there could have been an Energized Robin as well. And I also love the Ben Cooper rubber Batman figure. I wish they could have made Robin as well. But those are my favorites. Thanks again for these great video reviews. :)

Ouch. That water pistol! Hey, is Kenner Super Powers Batman considered vintage? I consider the demise of MEGO in 1982 the end of the vintage action figure age. What year do you think that action figures became modern? This top 10 was a great treat and thank you for sharing.
@AnalogToys
@AnalogToys 7 лет назад
Hey John Wild, you're probably right about the Kenner Super Powers Batman since eighties toys are more retro than vintage. I used one simple rule when selecting the Top 10 vintage Batman Toys and that was anything made before the 1989 Tim Burton Batman movie.
@ryanbarker5217
@ryanbarker5217 6 лет назад
a little late of a comment, but in 'star wars' collecting i think vintage applies up to about 1985, a few years after 'jedi,' but not until the figures for the 'droids' cartoon were out of production. in that sense, i'd call that toy vintage, especially considering kenner doesn't exist anymore. i guess we all have our own definitions that will vary slightly, eh?
