I like Bryson, he has really plotted his technique physically and mentally to achieve what’s he doing. People complaining about it are crazy, he has done everything within the rules - good luck Boom Boom Bryson
Totally agree he's perfecting what he believes in and he's become an amazing player and instead of the others moaning the should take a leaf out of his book keep it up that man👍👏👏👏👏
What amazes me is that the modern golf ball can withstand such a brutal force, and still remain intact. I wonder how many times you would be able to hit an individual ball that hard! Makes you think if he uses a new ball on every tee.
Here's a great video showing how much impact force modern golf balls can absorb, it's crazy. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JT0wx27J9xs.html
That's an interesting question indeed. It not only depends on the ball but also with what you're hitting hit. Drivers are very light and designed for it. I guess he changes the ball every 6 holes.
@@relentlessliving5588 Oh you will of course, a wider grip would make it a lot easier to squeeze the hell out of the grip keeping it straight. But I’m no expert and will end up hooking the ball anyways.
@@relentlessliving5588 yes, I put a jumbo cp2 golf pride grip on my driver had the guy at pro shop put some extra strips of tape to beef it out even more. Switch to a strong grip with 3 knuckles showing and watch you start to hit bombs and draws.
To put this in perspective Bryson is hitting like the long drivers but he is splitting 15-20 yard fairways consistently. The long drivers may get 1 or 2 drives in out of 10 on a football field target that is 50 yards wide.Let that sink in . We have never seen the likes of this.
he's not hitting it as far as the long drive guys. those guys have 155 clubhead where Bryson has about 132. the long drive guys are trying to hit it as far as possible. I'm sure if they went on a golf course they can swing it 132 and hit more fairways
@@jamese1116 Then why arent they doing it. Theres millions of dollars on the Tour up for grabs. He IS hitting it as far as the long drivers. He is using a regulation length driver they are not. Not every long driver hits every drive 400 yds. Not uncommon for the long drivers to miss the grid with all 10 of their drives. I play with people who can hit it 350-360 but sometimes its 2 fairways over. Bryson has hit it 370 in the middle. Would you take that or a 425 thats 100 yds off line? You miss the point Im talking about distance AND accuracy.
@Alexander Bayer I didn't measured it. Look for Bryson DeChambeau Round 1 Hole 1. Here you can check it out. www.pgatour.com/competition/2020/the-memorial-tournament-presented-by-nationwide/leaderboard.html
Power then putt. Hate him or love him, questionably the best at figuring out this game called golf. Cannot wait to see the generation of golfers after he’s thru...
I’ve watched old golf videos of Arnold Palmer hitting it 300 yards with the clubs they had 50-60 years ago. If he had today’s clubs back when he was young, he probably could have held his own against the longest hitters of today.
I’m not so sure these guys on the pro tour take real good care of their bodies and spend millions of dollars keeping themselves in the best shape, look at Bryson he’s a walking tank, not saying AP wouldn’t be able to excel with better tech but none of those guys were athletic guys back then.
Anything but effortless looking, usually he rips at it with what looks like barely controlled aggression. He really looks like he's trying to kill the ball.
He’s literally swinging out of his shoes most of the time. When it works, it looks amazing. When it doesn’t, it takes 30 minutes to find the ball. Its similar to someone like Judge or Stanton swinging in baseball. When they make perfect contact, the ball almost leaves the stadium. But when they miss, it’s an epic failure.
How is he not going to fall apart swinging like this? I understand he is fkn yolked but damn. Just look at Tiger he has almost as many surgeries as wins by now
@@jeffreywhitaker5154 Yeah, I think he lives in Dallas now but not sure. I loved everything there about Dragonfly. The layout, the scenery, the fitting center.
Hope he wins the Masters by 16 shots breaking Tigers 2000 US Open feet. Then Golf’s ruling body might reign in the technology. If he couldn’t chip or putt aswell he would win sweet FA. Remember Jamie Sadlowski. Now that Tiger is finished I need someone else to root for in Golf. Go Bryson.
You can't drive it that way at the Masters. The trees are way too high and tight. You are teeing off in tunnels most of the time. Working the ball left to right, low to high, etc. is the way to win the Masters.
The COR is already limited to 0.830 for drivers, and the max length is 48". I am glad that he is getting some recognition for his high club head speed, but at many courses his length isn't going to help him as much as many people think.
As long as he is he is still a substantial distance behind top World Long Drivers. They can top 220 MPH ball speed. Bryson is just under 200. What is amazing is how accurate Bryson is for as long as he hits it.
I love this guy. Such a great player, but better yet, such a great man. He has so much class and character. He won't let himself get caught up in the low life, no class breeding of Dustin or Brooks and see's it all as a compliment to his courage and skill sets and the dignity he brings to the game. I watch every shot he makes and admire him no matter the outcome. He and Jordan are the best men out there to me because of how they represent the game we all love, not like the druggies, drinkers and cheaters we have today. So many do a great job at not letting the tiny few drag it all down. thank you.
Class and character? I think you're commenting on the wrong video. Bryson is an innovator but lacks class and character. Those who take drugs and drink alcohol have way more class than Bryson.
@@elmoblatch9787 That was my opinion over two years ago. I would never write that today after reading about him and also his lying and going to the other league now. I agree with you.
As anyone knows who plays golf, it always comes down to hitting fairways and putting. Augusta doesn't bode too well for 350 yard drives that are off line.
His swing looked so much better in 2020, smoother didn’t look like he was swinging at 120%, I think Bryson working with Kyle Berkshire has made his swing worse.
I love that this guy is using physics, engineering, and physical training to win. Change the rules? I'm sure he will find a way to maxi/mini what they change it to.
Im 6, 4' and been hitting over 300 since I was 16 but since I got this titleist ts2 with a fucking regular shaft I've been hitting from 340 to 380 never experienced anything like it...but Bryson's confidence is something else I love that shit
Yeah, but what you see is what you get from Bryson DeChambeau. Pretty much just an exhibition of power off the tee for the spectators to stare in awe at. Most of the time his drives end up on the rough. Hitting the distances that he does from the tee box has got to be coupled with a good short game, which he does not possess
@@lemonbitters4559 Tiger is nearly 50 and has had 407 knee and back operations. Show me one tournament that Tiger was as bad as bryson is regularly during his peak years.
@@lemonbitters4559 Great world matchplay by bryson. Career record in matchplay 2 wins 2 ties 11 losses!!!! Most overhyped player in history. But oh he has Augusta coming up...and that is a par 68 for Bryson haahha
@@lemonbitters4559 Are you seriously trying to compare 82 time winner and 15 major winner Tiger to a fat man who finds ways to cheat to make up for his massive lack of natural talent? Haahah 7 wins and 1 major vs 82 and 15 majors? Really?
All this talk about his clubs being 7-iron length...Dude is hitting a 60 degree pitch on 500 yard holes with his second shot...when does he actually need 7-iron plus!???
I mean, I drove the green on a 405 yard hole once, too. Doesn't matter that the hole had an very elevated tee box or that the hole was playing straight downwind as the outer bands of hurricane Isabel were coming ashore, giving the ball a 60 to 70 mph boost from behind. It's cool to see someone who can do that from flat ground without the wind, though. Where were the bonus shots of him going over the lake at Memorial, though?
Guy's let Bryson have his fun, he worked hard for it. With that said, this won't last for long! The way tech is moving, and the youngsters coming up it won't be long before we have 6 month old baby prodigy who can smack it out there 425. With 58 inch driver,1.5 feet tall. With all that flexibility, and not having fully developed bones yet, that baby's going to be a monster in the future, on the PGA tour in 2021. Bryson there's a new baby prodigy in town, and his name is Reggie Hammond✌.
People talk about Tiger Woods hitting the ball too far and Tiger proofing golf courses. They need to Bryson proof all the courses and make the par 5s 700 yards or more because he is is getting to every 600 yard hole in two. It’s no problem for Bryson.
We will wait for some tournaments and upload then. Maybe with his new 48'' driver he can hit it longer than all of the ones in the video. Subscribe in the meanwhile.
I'd be yelling FORE RIGHT(hole to my right), FORE RIGHT RIGHT(2 holes over to right), FORE RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT(if I thought it might go 3 holes over), or just play my 5 wood to keep everybody safe.
Top long-drivers get about 500 hits out of a driver before the metal begins to fatigue. Considering practice rounds and practice range, I bet he gets a new driver every month.
Why are people upset about this - isn't the idea of a drive to get the ball as close to the hole in the first shot as possible? Genuine question, don't know much about golf.
