What other questions do you have about C Sections?
@ntokozokhumalo7542

Thank you for the information! How soon can I start belly binding? And what are things I can do now at 20 weeks to have a smooth and fast c section recovery?
@TheMaternityMentor
@TheMaternityMentor 2 года назад
@@ntokozokhumalo7542 Thanks for asking. You need to ask your doctor to be certain but belly binding can usually start at 6 weeks postpartum after your incision has healed. At 20 weeks, the most important things you can do is to exercise and to eat healthy. Proper nutrition is especially important to prevent complications during surgery. Good luck!

Good info, but not enough about c-section with other children already at home. It's a whole situation when you are not just bringing home a new baby as a couple.

Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate this feedback and I am going to try and make a video that focuses on this because you're right. It's very different bringing home your first baby versus a new baby with kids at home. Have a great day! :)

I agree! And even more different when you don't have family/parents to help, and Daddy has to go back to work after only 2 weeks 😭

I just had my first emergency hopefully my last, epidural was probably misplaced because I felt the full process. So the pain was inevitable on start, on the bright note I believe I’m coping well. :) it’s been 5-6 days post surgery.

@TheMaternityMentor
@TheMaternityMentor 2 года назад
Good luck on your C Section. Scheduled C sections can still feel scary because it's surgery. So that's a normal reaction. However, there will be lots of things that are different in a good way. There won't be a mad dash rush to get you to surgery. You will have time to ask questions and get them answered. You know what to expect this time, even if you don't remember all of it. These things will help all of it go smoother for you.

Thank you for this great video! I had a C-section 2 weeks ago, and ended up having an infection this week. Antibiotics has been prescribed. What else should I be doing in order to have a fast recovery?
@TheMaternityMentor
@TheMaternityMentor Год назад
Thanks for asking! Keep the incision clean and dry. Pat it dry every time you go to the bathroom. No lotions or powder for 6 weeks. Feel better!

How about showering did you shower normal? Do you wash around the incision? I was given a soap to bring home with me but nothing was explained. ( nurses and doctors were sort of rude , did not explain anything) Do we keep it dry I’m day 3 after surgery.
@TheMaternityMentor
@TheMaternityMentor Год назад
Thanks for asking! Yes you can shower. You let the warm soapy water run over the incision and rinse it well but don't rub it. Also pat dry completely when you get out of the shower. You definitely want to keep the area dry. Do not use powder on the incision. That can cause infection. Feel better!
