Silent Hill is definitely the scariest, I remember playing the first game when released when I was about 13, and the atmosphere and tension in that game was overwhelming.
I remember first playing Silent Hill 1 when I was like 6yo. It was super scary for me back then, but it quickly grew out to be one of my favorite horror games to this day! Glad I still have the original copy and it works.
Raccoon City and Silent Hill i absolutely expected especially in top 3 with all their creatures and dark secrets behind both of them. It's also nice to see Rapture from BioShock here too with how creepy and dark its gets with its inhabitants the splicers.
Oakmont from The Sinking City is quite underrated, tho. The atmosphere of stormy weather with the half destructed flooded city surely gave a feeling of the end of the world is near.
@@NerdSpaceGames My presumption is that it might be because of lack of availability of that game for many years after launch due to legal issues between the studio and the publisher, causing people to look over this game because they can't buy it and/or play it. And also the possible reason you skipped it might be because you haven't played through it to get enough footages from the game. For the correction on Raccoon City, if you only referenced from the OG RE2+3, yes, it was supposedly set as a midwestern small town. But in both RE2+3 Remake, they seemed to upscale this city quite a lot more from it's appearance, roughly about a medium size city.
Rapture wasn’t a town. It was an entire sunken city. Second, the town of Riverside is only present in the Death Toll campaign on ‘The Town” mission, the footage you showed was the city in the no mercy campaign.
Yeah I realize my mistake about Riverside. As for Rapture, I know it’s a city. At the start of the video right before the first entry I said I’m counting towns and cities.
It’s was very close to making it. I actually had my description written up and everything for it but removed it last second. That and Little Hope barely missed out on todays list
It really wasn’t creepy though. Yeah the entrance into willamete via helicopter was rather eerie but once you enter the mall it comes off as less dawn of the dead and more so Shaun of the dead thanks to the gameplay and mechanics.
Temple Gate from Outlast 2 wouldve been fitting for this list. All of the area's are connected, if everything wasn't broken, blocked of and locked because of course 😒
Love your videos man. Hopefully we get more great horror games in years to come. And hopefully they make Resident evil and Silent hill Scary as they should be
Thank you for counting bloodborne as a horror game I know its not traditionally a horror game but the atmospheric horror and the bosses are terrifying and its some of my favorite horror in a game
I know it's a bit of a Stretch but i kinda expected to see the USG Ishimura from Dead Space in this list, given how big is the entire ship is with a lot of different sections.
@@NerdSpaceGames it's understandable to forget Half-Life while talking about horror games :D but it has his own horror theme as you said. But it's okay still good list.
@@NerdSpaceGames your all good lol. No mercy is Fairfield along with crash course, then riverside is Death Toll and the Last Stand, Dead Air is Newburg, Blood Harvest is Albany National Forest and The Sacrifice is Rayford
@@NerdSpaceGames No no you're all good man i was just letting yk cause I've been playing this game too much since 2012 and Ima big nerd abt it😭 but yeah no worries and keep up the great work! I love your videos
