Why are these are *all* Ben & Jerry's? There are plenty of others out there, from all over. From my Australian childhood alone, there were two I still remember, to this day: I can't remember the brands- nor when they were discontinued, but one I got at my primary school tuckshop, I think it was called a 'Shock Pop'; the base was just vanilla, but... what made it truly memorable- the blue candy coating, embedded with pop-rocks- whenever I had the money, it was the one I chose. There was another, apparently phased out because- & I quote, 'people thought it might encourage grave-robbing'. Huh?! I mean, are you kidding me? It was just choc ice-cream with candy bits, & a novelty spoon shaped like a shovel. The third flavour I haven't been able to find is somewhat more recent- which is heart-breaking, because it was *REALLY* good - Bulla's Boysenberry. I knew it would be decent, but I only bought the flavour because it was on sale... & I was glad I did - I've no words for how good it was- & I swear I only meant to have a small bowl, but ate the whole tub- & THEN my brother's, which I had to replace- which I then ate, & had to replace *again*- & to avoid eating it, I left the house for the rest of the day. I'm hardly proud of this, & felt guilty at the time, but this happened *three* times in a row, where I swore to myself if I bought it I would only eat a small amount... but no, it was addictive (& I do mean that, to this day, I call it 'my drug icecream') - I did try another one, from the Bulla range, when I couldn't find it, but it didn't have remotely the same effect. It was just icecream. Maybe it's a good thing I can't find it anymore, lol!

When I was a kid there was an ice cream flavor I haven't seen for decades-root beer swirl. It was vanilla with swirls of a root beer flavored goop. Delicious. I miss it.

my favorite was Imagine Swirled Peace. It was a John Lennon themed ice cream with little peace signs caramel candies and it made my heart happy

Summertime = Mayfield Pint size Cookies and Cream, Chocolate, Caramel Pecan, Black Walnut and French Vanilla. And Edy's Kit Kat variety. I don't see those brands going away anytime soon. Yummy! In the Southeast, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream did not sell. Insanely expensive abnormal flavors from two hippies made in Vermont. That was a recipe for success. I worked in a grocery store for 15 years and Ben and Jerry's got so freezer burnt that it when it was extracted from the shelves, it pulled up the paint underneath it.

2 things. 1- if you can deep fry icecream (I still want to know how that works) then I'm sure you can take a torch-y type thing to it. 2- is it just me or were all of those ice creams Ben and Jerry's.

I miss Häagen-Dazs Mayan Chocolate ice cream, a dark chocolate ice cream with a dark chocolate fudge swirl and the entire ice cream was laced with cinnamon. It was the closest that I ever came across to authentic Mayan chocolate after (I think) Hershey's hot cocoa discontinued both the Aztec and Mayan chocolate flavours.

Brownie Batter Core!! I couldnt get enough of it when I was pregnant!! Salted Carmel core is just as amazing though
