I felt like playing the top 10 played levels in Geometry Dash of all time, so I did. It's interesting playing these and seeing different levels from various time periods of the game.

The retray level was updated after 2.1 (which is noticed since there's a 4x speed portal), but I'm pretty sure retray was originally created in 1.9. It's in the first map pack. Also, if you play gauntlet levels outside the gauntlet, it will be like a totally different level with a different attempt count and different progress levels. So it's not like the map packs lol.

Retray isn’t an early 2.0 level, it’s just an old map pack level that gets updated with each GD update.

Who else remembers when JerkRats GD name was TheCreatorJR? Also Eric, ReTraY was mid 1.9 it just got updated later on. Another edit, ReTraY, Sonar, and dark paradise are in the first map pack.

I agree that although The Nightmare is an extremely easy demon, it doesn't make you very good at the game, so I'm currently working on Shiver as my first demon.

Eric, the 9th level paths. They both lead to the end but the other way has the coins from the last time I played that level! I believe from what I remember they both lead to the same ending somehow

Actually, Sonar does have a part of stereo madness in it that we don’t hear. It starts at the wave.

Eric, - Retray was made in 1.9, and then the coins were added in 2.0, similar to Sonar. - You actually have already played Outerspace. It is the first level of the fire gauntlet. When gauntlets first came out everyone went to the first level of the first gauntlet, which may explain its popularity. - Promises is the first online level of GD World, so that is why it has so many downloads.

I'm not sure about some of the other easier levels that weren't in map packs or gauntlets, but I remember Promises was in GDash world (and was one of my first online levels), so a lot of the plays were probably from being on the featured tab there. Edit: Clarification

Yeah basically every level in the top 10 most downloaded are in either map packs or gauntlets, the ones you havent played are just because when playing a gauntlet level it stores its own percentage and the level on the main servers remains unplayed on your account.

I think my first six demons were Clubstep ToE2 and Deadlocked (obviously), the Nightmare and Lightning Road which are free easy demons, and then B by Motleyorc which is a medium demon.

You can check when levels were made by hitting the blue info button in the top right corner of the description menu. If it says N/A then click the reload button on the right hand side of the level play screen.
