@@danik62Well has Jesse not taken Walt's offer, he would've gotten himself killed due to his recklessness and impulsiveness. Jesse's smart but he makes a lot of fatal and dumb mistakes (the bathtub incident for instance). And knowing Krazy-8 he would've had Jesse killed for making his cousin think he rat him out to the D.E.A so that he could keep his dirty little secret of being an informant for them. Even before he went into business with Walt, he was making drugs so any rival gangs that would be competitors would have Jesse killed for making products that outsell their own.

@glennjanot8128
@glennjanot8128 2 года назад
A lot of the mistakes, especially among the cartel people came from hubris, pride and ego. As Mike had put it, Walt couldn't stand not being "the man". He could have known his place, simply worked for Gus until his cancer was too bad and earned millions until then. But because of Walt's ego, he not only lost most the money he made but lost the family he did this for (initially) to support. Don Eladio died because he thought that nobody dared touch him and he also didn't expect that Gus would go so far as to poison himself. Marco and Leonel died because they couldn't let go of the idea of blood for blood. They could have killed Hank but Marco just had to do it with an axe instead of simply shooting Hank. Leonel wouldn't have lost his legs if he had just jumped aside when Hank drove in reverse Lalo died because he wanted to gloat with the video. Gus died because he just had to kill Hector himself. He could have told Tyrus to do it. Victor died because not only did he let himself be seen by witnesses after Gale's murder, he also thought he could overstep his bounds and become the cook.

Walt biggest mistake isn't even in this list. IMO, WW biggest mistake was hiding all his money in one place, he had 80 million dollars but he was so dumb that he put all his eggs in the same basket, and worse knowing that Saul Goodman and his crew know the exactly location and because that he fell for Jesse and Hank trap. If he had hidden alone in 8 different places, 10 millions each that never would have happen. Even, if somehow Jesse and Hank find out one barrel he wouldn't be so desperate to run for it, scared of losing all his money. He could just pretend he don't know anything about this money, like Mike did with his money which would ultimately avoided the events in Ozymandias, Hank death and Walt losing 69 millions (and Walt only didn't lose all because Jack pited him and let he stay with 11 millions).

I wonder if Gus and his partner made a mistake in the first place by giving away their samples instead of trying to approach the cartel in a “respectful way” ?

I started hating Walt when he poisoned Brock, killed Gale, and Gus. Walt straight up lies to Jesse saying Gus is going to kill them when in reality, Gus only wanted to kill Walt. He goes and lies to Jesse and drags Jesse down with him smh. Walt freaks out and drags down everyone with him! Jesse, Gus, Mike, all would’ve been fine and Walt would’ve been dead. If I remember right, Gus even gave Walt an option to just stop and he wouldn’t kill him! But Walt never tells Jesse this…

Jimmy needed to save his law license, which Chuck was trying to take away from him. He spent a year and a half trying to build a career while looking after his brother, a measure made all the more difficult by the fact that Chuck had sabotaged his best job prospect. It would not have made sense for him to give up his license, his career, and his livelihood without a fight. Aside from that, there's no causality between the battery and Chuck's suicide. If anything, the battery stunt is what led him to seek treatment. He never would have faced the prospect of his illness being mental if it weren't for that demonstration. Now, you could say that Jimmy was to blame for HHM's insurance rates going up, but Chuck very easily could have stepped back from the firm and focused on his treatment for a year until he was able to demonstrate to the company that he was not a liability. Threatening to blow up the firm if he wasn't able to make it die a slow and painful death was childish and stupid, and he threw a hissy fit over not getting his way. On top of that, Jimmy reached out to make amends and Chuck pretty cruelly rebuffed him. Chuck made way more mistakes than Jimmy, the chief one being underestimating his little brother. Jimmy did not pull Kim into his world. In fact, she pursued him into it, with very little encouragement. Having Kim on his side was nothing but beneficial to him, since she got him out of multiple scrapes and even provided him a reason to keep fighting to live when he was stranded in the desert. Without Kim, he would not have been able to put together their shared practiced, and he would not have been able to work through the year that he was unlicensed. Teaming up with Kim was one of the smartest things Jimmy did.

Imo one of the biggest mistakes no one ever talks about is Walter not giving jessse the ricin. If Walter just gives Jesse the ricin then so much is avoided. Those guys that used kids to deal drugs would die in a way that would raise no suspicion to gus whatsoever because ricin kills in an undetectable manner. Plus as far as he knows, Walter nor Jesse have any problems with his men. Which means Gus would have no problems with Jesse and Walter, meaning gale wouldn’t have to die, Gus wouldn’t die and there would be no more clues for Hank to follow and eventually find out who the real culprit was.

I was looking for meta-mistakes not canonical. Like #1: he’d have to leave that acid in the tub for one HELL of a long time for it to eat through that much material. I think it was that scene that made me watch the BB series.

Most of them are not dumb mistakes, but "mistakes" or "consequences" coming from the traits, history, motivations of a character. 9. Jimmy's scheme is not dumb, he just happens to get the wrong person. However it has nothing do with dumb. This comes from Jimmy's character because he always founds out, how to rig an outcome of a case. Jimmy like Walt is a genious. However Walt is a scientist, while Jimmy knows everything about people and how to manipulate them to do what he wants. 8. Walt sells his share. The story is told in Breaking Bad fully. Gretchen was Walt's girlfriend and chose Elliot over him. It is not illogical to see Elliot as the third wheel in the room. Elliot and Gretchen never acknowledge Walt's share in what Grey Matter has become. Walt's actions are perfect to his character. He is the young scientist, nerd whoose girlfriend chooses another one. He is ashamed and chooses to go away, leave the whole thing and his humiliation. That's because he sell his share. 7. Chuck. Chuck is evil as hell. He realizes that Jimmy is a genious, he envies him maximally. Even when Jimmy proves that he is a good lawyer and is very talented, he chooses to destroy him. Chuck is the man who is capable to supress his own brother just to proove his way - learning his whole life and work dilligently - is the only way, so he is more worth than his brother. In addittion the only person that cares for him, when he gets ill is Jimmy. Chuck deserves his faith. 6. Slaying Gale. Given the situation Walt had no alternative. Mike had him at gunpoint with orders to execute him. To think was dumb simply excludes excludes his character change / development. 5. Not quitting while he's ahead. While this may be true for a short term (beginning of the 5th season), Walt quits. When Mike finds the book, he is not active anymore. So Walt manages to stop and restore some kind of equibrillium which is destroyed by Mike finding the book. 4. Involving Kim. People think Kim was not as guilty as Jimmy / Saul. Kim was almost just like Jimmy. She can be considered the main regulator in Jimmy's life. While you may say everyone is responsible for his / her own life, you don't treat the man you supposedly love like this. Kim leaves Jimmy in that point of his life when he is most vulnerable, knowing it will end bad. Jimmy was in love with Kim, the dumb and incredible ending of BCS shows, that he even sacrifices himself for this stupid and irrational love.

Here are a few : - Walt killing the drug dealers even though Walt doesn't care about the boy and not being in self-defense (Jesse was the one going after them). - Walt getting too close with Jesse who's a liability more than anything else, he could let him die alongside Jane. - Gus' persistence of wanting the blue meth but wanting to murder Walt instead of just abandoning all that. - Jesse going to deal with Tuco with a whole batch instead of just a small dose (lol). - Walt's refusal to work alongside Gretchen and Elliot, even if it was a matter of ego, him coming back to the company he created to do a job he loves with a very high income and free treatment was his way out. - Lalo's faking his death, protecting Gus from the cartel. - Nacho's showing a full bottle of medicine to the ambulance, raising suspicion. - Mike working for Gus instead of Lydia. - Skyler not suing Walt for divorce and cheating on him with a beta male. - Kimberley's actions against Howard. - Chuck being dishonest and treacherous when he could just say to Jimmy that he doesn't qualify for a job in his law firm.

Erroneous! Biggest #1 mistake? BB S2E2: When Tuco is about to snort the "improved" ricin tainted meth, which would kill him, Jesse can't help but say that the secret ingredient is chili powder. And so, Tuco throws it out because he hates chili powder. If Jesse kept his freaking mouth shut then Tuco would have died, Jesse and Walt would have gotten away, and things would likely have gone so much better for them. But that would have resulted in a less entertaining show as well.

I'm confused why Saul couldn't just say he confessed to that felony to make his brother feel better...which is exactly what he says when Chuck tells him that? He could say, I didn't actually do it, I just said it to make Chuck feel better...and it did. It made him feel better. Him recording me actually saying that should be enough to exonerate me. Right?
