It's almost sad italy only has a strong economy in the northern regions. if italy had a decent economy also in the south it could be up there with France and the UK but unlucky
It surprised me how these countries still increased their GDPs in WW1, is that because some of the data is extrapolated, or did that actually occur despite millions being out on the front lines and dying?
@@zombl337og absolutly not. USSR was a union between 15 republics : Armenia + Ukraine + Georgia + Bielorussia + russia + 10 more other countries. Russia is arround half of the ussr (population and gdp).
@@ShortTermHasNoFuture Russia just forced the other countrys to join. It was not a Union. They were just Colonies for Russia. Like Russia ist trying today with Ukraine.
@@oliverwirtschaftundpolitik2278 it changes absolutly nothing about the fact that ussr was not russia. For exemple staline was from georgia, trotsky from Ukain but lenine russian. When ussr colapsed, gorbatchev said "i don t think people realise they have just lost their country". You can say whatever you want ussr was a union of 15 republics and russia is currently half of what ussr was When you compare gdp, you just can t imagine to say "oh russia was so ric during the 60'" it wasn t. It was russia + 14 others countries to compare to know.
Weimar republic economy was stronger than most people think, just political instability at the time made the situation worse e.g. defaulting on payments in 1923 for political support
