Sorry but the best selling ESC song was 'Volare" by Domenico Modugno, Italy, in 1958 / It sold more than 22 million copies all over the world, it was no. 1 in USA top chart, and it is still the most covered song in ESC with something like 60 fdifferent covers.

No matter what everyone else says, for me, 'Hard Rock Hallelujah' is the best entry in Eurovision history. And i don't even like metal.

Hardrock Hallelujah is my all-time fav. Winner. That song's message is so strong if you know what they sang about.

Fairytale by Alexander Rybak and Satellite by Lena are my favourites.

Actually, Lordi got the biggest amount of votes ever. Fairytale the following year which got more, people always forget to mention that the voting system had changed, just like 2016 which has changed again and countries are able to get even more points than ever. During the older traditional voting system though, Lordi got the most points there'd ever been.

wtf... "Ein bißchen Frieden" was one of the most successful and loved winners... how can you miss that? It peaked the charts in every region it was released in, which not even Waterloo managed (Waterloo as #1 was fine though)

I know this list is more about iconic songs in Eurovision history, but I wish Deli by Mor ve Ötesi, which was Turkey's entry in 2008, was on this list. Deli is an awesome rock song, and Mor ve Ötesi are now legitimately one of my favourite bands.

When Europe chooses best ESC song: Waterloo! When Sweden chooses best Melodifestivalen song: Michelangelo, and Waterloo comes second.

"Kuula" by Ott Lepland from Estonia 2012 and "Love injected" by Aminata 2015 were imho the best songs ever in ESC.

This is not your average complaint. These are legitimate concerns with this list. 1. An objective f**k-up that nobody can defend. For "Fångad av en Stormvind" as your 'honorable mention', you're not even playing the actual song, but the postcard greeting preceding it. HUGE ERROR. 2. Johnny Logan as merely an honorable mention? The man won Eurovision thrice (though only as a composer on the third) and out of those songs, his arguably more successful song was "Hold Me Now". 3. "Rise Like a Phoenix" being on this list is honestly shameful. Dont get me wrong, it is fantastic. But lets also be honest here, the song didn't win that year. Conchita Wurst did. We voted for her majestic beard, wonderful attitude and political message. Not for her song. It is just another ballad. 4. Jedward as an 'honorable mention'? "Lipstick" finished 8th, what the actual f**k?! You pick it over (for example) 97's "Love Shine Like A Light" which was the only song to receive 200+ points until 2004? 5. I agree. "Diva" was a controversial choice. 'Controversial' as in why would you include it, considering it received no international fame beyond Eurovision and was forgotten pretty quickly? I'm trying to stay objective in my rant here. Your list is otherwise great, but you honestly made some serious mistakes. I hope to see a revised version soon. I'm only saying this because I love you, WatchMojo, and want to see you improve. :)

To this day I don't understand how Satellite by Lena is so popular... But to each their own. I would have replaced it with "Wild Dances" by Ruslana on this list. Now THAT is a fantastic song!
