Gosh. I’ve been watching the dice tower for so many years. Sam I will miss watching you especially in these top 10 videos. I’ve never met any of you but feel like I know you. Good luck Sam. I am so happy you found another place in the board game industry.
We'll all be crying tomorrow during Sam's good-bye Q&A. Whenever Sam says, "See you on the flip side," it makes me think of my sister who died of cancer in 2006. She lived in a different state and whenever I talked to her on the phone she'd always close with, "Catch you on the flip side." Mostly, I'll miss Sam's interaction with the other guys. When you 3 are together, you are a HOOT! Take care, Sam!
It's so strange knowing Sam is going. Really, on the surface these top 10s and so forth are just three great friends talking about games. But to viewers like me, it's so much more. Knowing how up and down my life has been over the years but always having these guys as a constant throughout it- being able to drown out all the negative by listening to their videos had such a tremendous effect, for the good, on my life. How odd it feels to know that will change and to see Sam go... it's like saying goodbye to a dear friend even though we have never met. I hope one day if you ever come to Scotland or if I ever come to the states, I'll be able to shake your hand and say thank you for being you, Sam. Wishing you and your wonderful family all the very best
I had an AMAZING TIME at the 24 Hr marathon. The crew is amazing, incredibly hard working and a very positive environment. Loved meeting Zee , Tom, Roy, Kenny and Sam! The people who were invited , Joe , Zev, Travis, the brothers Murph and my brother from another mother, Stephen! This holds a very special place in my heart. Sam, I loved meeting and talking with you I wish we had more time. Love you Sam and wish you the best in the future and I know we will meet again.😘
Hey, Sam, Zee, All the pleasure was mine ! And Tom, you had one... Not your face, but I've done for you and your family a river dragon XXL Version years ago... Next time, I will do your face in a box of Mr. Jack :)
I wasn’t even involved in the game that was my favorite experience this year. It was seeing my 10 year old daughter who is usually done with a game after about 45 minutes finish Underwater Cities. It was also her first gaming event . Made a great memory for her.
I have watched a quite lot of your videos over the years but to me this is a highlight one. This is a reminder of why we play games- not to play a game that is on the hot list or top 10 but to have fun with friends we know or friends to be. All the best Sam, I don't always agree with you but love your passion and that you are such a good egg as we say in England.
@Sam: It was a pleasure to meet you (and all the other people) at Essen! Easily one of my top experiences of the year, too. I came just to meet you guys (as a german there is only that one opportunity) and you took your time to chat with us, telling stories of your time in germany. It was such a nice experience! See you on the flip side.
They have the gavel, now they need to film a few episodes of "Dice Court", lol. Each side has a dispute over some game or game play issue and Judge Vasel must determine who wins the case. Would be a great way to poke fun at various holes in rules.
This was a sweet list. Also really glad that Zee put Cinco Linko on his list, even though it was technically last year. Still since the last time they did this list, so I say it definitely does count. Anyway, y'all are the best.
Hmm... New job in Washington state? I'm guessing Sam joined a band and is heading a grunge resurgence. I'd offer you my flannels Sam, but they'd probably be too snug to pull off the required look. Rock on, brother.
Looks like the average review length is going to go down with Sam gone :P. But in all seriousness, you have always been a positive force on the Dice Tower and you deserve all the good that comes your way.
Sam was super fun, and thanks for your contribution... BUT I'm looking forward to more balanced list and reviews without vikings / pirates and / or christian themes being rammed waaaaay up the pecking order regardless of quality.
