@@davidphilipkarlsson not really. Dopamine is considered a drug. Like you know how crack heads are commonly believed to ve really hyper? That's cuz it releases extra amounts of dopamine. Thats one of the reason they call it dope
You can not have 150 good friends i would call friends those who are close i can count real friends with one hand. 150 people that you know is easy to have
No. It's almost like a mental disorder: though it is not classified as such, because it's only based on environment. It's based on the social part of your brain.
+M.O. Actually depression has physical effects too, including a lack of dopamine and serotonin. However, more recent studies are suggesting that depression is correlated with a smaller hippocampus. We don't know if having depression causes the hippocampus to shrink, or if the shrinking of the hippocampus causes depression. There are also genetic factors such as a gene that determines how we react to stress on a biological level. That doesn't mean social factors don't matter, but they don't provide all causes of depression.
Get steam account,go to Q Dance edvents,to stupid stuff and allways stick it to people who tries to rule over you,and allways think in a positive Way even if things are horrible, its free, A-lot more Entertaining, and create's Energy (Y)
well i believe that god has created us to worship him and obey him i have many goals in life but my mane goal is to go to heaven and i am perfectly happy and peaceful PS. i am a Muslim and i am not a terrorist
+Shinigami Sama That's using both a physical and mental behavior. You can't do two physical/mental processes at a time, but you can do one of each. It's called parallel processing. The only way you can do more than one physical/mental process at a time is if you split the spheres of your brain.
Number 4: I think it is because this way we can view all the details of the object from this perspective. If we draw the cup otherwise, from above for example, we won't see its form. If we draw it from aside, we don't see it has a hole at all, or a handle. So it's the optimal way of representing things, preserving the maximal information about them.
I got two questions, Does this mean that: 1. By watching others do art, can we improve our own art skills? 2. That by thinken we are doing stuff lets say drawing, can we improve our own skills aswell? Thanks already for those answering this :)
Is it just me.. That has a sense of future sometimes. Like when I sleep. I dream about my future or what I wish. Then it happens. Scripted or like. Orderly without them knowing.
No it's happened to me too . It's extremely puzzling , because I can like chronologically explain what's going to happen and who's going to say what for a short period of time but I have no idea where I remember it from . Like maybe a dream one night or something
Fact 8 explains your answer quite well. What your experiencing is Deja Vu. Basically when that moment where you believe you've seen what just occurred, in the past. Your mind just simply made up or altered that dream to make it seem like it has happened. Either that or you dreamt of something pretty ordinary and you just felt like you did something similar, maybe :P
I heard that there is a limit for the number of words you can actually know, it's something around 50 000, for example chinese or japanese people are not able to read all the signs that exist in their way of writing, even if they learn all their life, it seems that the word memory is like a bucket full of water; when it's full if you add one glass of water into it, some existing water will spill. then you learn a new word but forget an old one
Actually, whereas I'm not exactly sure if it applies to vocabulary or not, but memory isn't a finite thing, studies have shown that our memory is limitless and there is no end to the amount of things we can learn.
Blue Whirlw1nd Languages are very complex, but one can effectively speak many languages by knowing a relatively small amount of words. A lot of the words that we know are very similar to other words, an example in english is all the synonyms for the word "amazing," there are many synonyms for this word such as awesome, wonderful, fantastic, and many more. A person could probably speak several different languages by only knowing around 500 words in that language.
+Octo Nocto yeah, was playing a little bit of gta 5 the other day on split screen. Nek minute... Im outside beating the shit out of my next door neighbour who i thought was a hooker... Long story short, I dont even own Gta 5 and it was just my dad and an actual hooker
Mrlegend947 Sir, I'm sorry, but your genius is too great for this comment section. Please get into a position of high authority so that the wonders of your mind may be shared amongst many.
I love these videos - this one, in particular. I'm a provisional psychologist in Australia trying to get info like this out there. If you're making another video about psychology and want some input from a practitioner, I'd be happy to weigh in to get the word out. Keep it up!
Wow I thought it would be pretty shallow and basic but it is actually well researched. It presents complex perspectives which are usually lacking in others. Thanks! I'm a new subscriber!
ben fleming a trained musician can read and play a note within nanoseconds. the same with singing. so what a good musician actually does is simply doing those 2 things in 2 nanoseconds which then looks like he does them at the same time when he actually isn't if you don't believe it you can google that stuff and read a lot of scientific papers about this topic :)
ben fleming the most important aspect of your example is muscle memory by the way...without muscle memory it wouldn't be possible to train playing the guitar or singing to begin with
These facts are really very interesting and most of the things in video are what I generally do. For instance, I have 400 friends on Facebook, and I don’t even know most of them. There was this strange habit I had when I was a child, I used to chew skin above my nails “cuticle picking” and guess what I still do it. Few months ago, I had to buy mobile phone, I considered many parameters like processor, ram etc., but at the end I ended up buying what my friends recommended me to. Your video explains exactly what I do generally, keep it up.
I know you might not read this uploader but I just want to say, thank you! this video is fantastic, it helps people think in inventions, and how to think about them, how to communicate with people, how to settle arguments down, how to think and act, and how to inspire and comport people the way you want =))))) I feel really grateful because of this video, thank you very much!
I really enjoyed this informative video of the Top 10 Facts about Psychology. Lemmino ... you really demonstrated multiple aspects of psychology and really took it home with the "Progressive Disclosure" bit.
The reason most people would draw different objects from a front, slightly above view is because that's how we typically look at objects. Like a cup on a desk or a lamp. If you asked someone to draw a kite they would draw it from the bottom point of view because that's how we typically see kites. (this is just a guess on my part but it just seems so obvious to me I was so shocked when the guy in the vid said "we don't know why this is a thing").
+PurpleFirefly It's all generalizations with psychology. There are certainly uniqueness when we consider all the minds on Earth. ;-) Also, you seem to have a mind that analyzes cause and effect, (kind of rare from my experiences; nice work). Did you go out of your way to become that or did it just happen? If you went out of your way can tell me what you did and if it just happen, can you tell me how?
+Beyond Psychology Hah, your comment is very flattering! ^^ Cause and effect sounds like a rudimentary method of analyzing information though, so I'm not sure what you see in my comment that indicates a "rare" way of thinking. I know when I was younger I used to be a stubborn kid governed by emotions and I thought that made me stupid so I started making a conscious effort to think rationally and exclude emotions. This is the way I think today by second nature, and I lost my stubbornness as well lol.
PurpleFirefly I've been studying human behavior, perceptions of reality, how people make decisions and specially how they think as well as why they choose to think that way... Trust me, what you're doing is rare. For sure, keep it up. You have my support, I will help anyway I can... Say the word... you are basically what everyone needs to do... There is no better investment I can make then in a mind that has value because you become a walking advertisement for everything that I want people to be. The only true wealth any of us can possess is that of the wealth of intention for the future forms of consciousness that we will all become part of.
I actually signed into youtube to post a comment.. this is probably the first psychology video i encountered that had something useful... thank you for sharing the knowledge. I hope you keep sharing. thanks
Well done, one other important part of memory is that the memories themselves are not stored in the same place. Physically, one memory can be divided across the two lobes depending on many factors, one being what senses have been triggered during the memory formation. They are also believed to be a different kind of neuron (nerve cell). Fascinating stuff!
Honestly bro, you're fucking AWESOME. iv'e watched your vids for so long and made an account just so i could subscribe and like your videos. i watch atleast one every day and even watch some multiple times before moving onto the next because they are so fascinating. id love to meet ya some day man! please keep making top 10's!
Those functions occur unconsciously and are managed by the grey matter in the brain and spinal cord. I imagine that the only people who can only breath as the result of conscious decision are blonds and creationists.
The Silent Never-Turner So while you were writing that, you alternated between thinking, typing, looking, hearing, reading what you wrote, moving other parts of you body, blinking, taking facial expressions, finding the correct words to express yourself and making grammatically correct sentences and what not? I don't think unconscious stuff work this way.
Consciously, this works, considering the speed on how we can do things and how our bodies do things the functions flow down when not conscious, because using your eyes would have no effect when you're knocked out in a pile of shit. Think how fast we do things, blinking for example.
I think the reason we would draw things in that perspective is, that its easier to identify the drawing. If you just draw a cup from the straight front, it could also be seen as something else, but in the tilted angle you can see a bit of its top, or the lack of the top :D, to identify it better. Even if the drawing is shit.
Lemmino I still love you because you don't start your Videos with "HELLO EVERYBODY AND WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER EPISODE OF...", instead, you just present the facts, with an amazing video and then don't even ask for a subscription. Thumbs up.
I myself am a borderline psychopath, and it’s kind of weird to think that the whole time before I was diagnosed, I never actually realised that I wasn’t feeling Stress, Anxiety or Fear. I just assumed that I was without realising.
