Sean Chandler Talks About Thanks and great video! I wish The Amazing Spider-Man 3 existed so that there would be a strong TASM trilogy, but Sony messes everything up 😔
What are those 2 trillogies you dont paticularly like? I think one is definitely Lord Of The Rings, while the second one might be either Godfather or Pirates Of The Caribbean.
I did NOT say I didn’t like them. There’s a HUGE difference between specifically not liking something and simply not including it on a favorites list. The Godfather Lord of the Rings
If you watch some of his video you'll know that he's not a fan of fantasy, so makes sense he doesn't include it in his list. Remember it's subjective, I have LotR as my #1 trilogy, and Return of the King as my #1 movie of all time yet still quite enjoyed this video.
1: The Dark Knight Trilogy 2: OG Star Wars Trilogy 3: Lord of the Rings Trilogy 4: Genesis Trilogy (Star Trek 2-4) 5: Captain America Trilogy 6: Toy Story Andy Trilogy 7: OG Indiana Jones Trilogy 8: Back to the Future Trilogy 9: Sam Raimi Spider-Man Trilogy 10: The Hobbit Trilogy HM: Evil Dead, Dollars Trilogy, Planet of the Apes Trilogy
5. Dark knight trilogy 4. Toy story trilogy 3. Indiana jones trilogy 2. Star wars trilogy 1. Lotr trilogy. Sad not to see lotr on your list. Great ranking though
Top 5: 1 = Lord of the Rings - Practically perfect in every way 2 = Back To The Future - Just so much fun! 3 = Indiana Jones - A perfect mix of action and adventure 4 = Original Star Wars - Timeless classics 5 = How To Train Your Dragon - Perfect for kids and adults.
@@grandmasterkaiju3821 wait but you said you had 2 movies in your top 5 of Cap America. But now you're saying you got First Avenger, Civil War and Winter Soldier in your top 5 whaaaa
Favorite quote from the Dark Knight trilogy “Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight.”
The way I see it, you either die the hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain Dent lived long enough but to the publics eyes died the “hero” Bats lived long enough to become the “villain” Bats “died” the hero
@@robmiller132 "But really coming in at #1 Fifty Shades of Grey.....what can I say....I'm a suburban pervert looking to spice things up a bit...OH WAIT!!! I've said too much! Coming in at #1 Star Wars!"
Planet of the apes is so such an underrated trilogy. The way the story is developed over the three movies is amazing and I love how they all connect. Every film is so entertaining. Many great filmmaking details as well. The character journey of Ceaser is amazing. I would honestly say it is a perfect trilogy. Wouldn't change anything. This trilogy takes what's sounds like a stupid premise and makes a very compelling and understandable story from it. This trilogy makes me appreciate, admire and respect film making
My Top 10: 1) The Fellowship of the Ring - The Two Towers - The Return of the King 2) Raiders of the Lost Ark - Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 3) Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back - Return of the Jedi 4) The Curse of the Black Pearl - Dead Man's Chest - At World's End 5) Batman Begins - The Dark Knight - The Dark Knight Rises 6) Jurassic Park - The Lost World: Jurassic Park - Jurassic Park III 7) Alien - Aliens - Alien³ 8) How to Train Your Dragon - How to Train Your Dragon 2 - The Hidden World 9) Rise of the Planet of the Apes - Dawn of the Planet of the Apes - War for the Planet of the Apes 10) The Godfather - The Godfather Part II - The Godfather Part III
I can't say I enjoyed the first Alien all that much... the first time it was incredible! The second time was ehhh... I just didn't think it had great rewatch value. Aliens was incredible though. But for as much as I love David Fincher, I didn't like the 3rd all that much either..
My top 5 best: 1.) Kung Fu Panda Trilogy (sad no one really puts this trilogy on their lists) 2.) How to Train Your Dragon Trilogy 3.) Toy Story Trilogy (the fourth film is definitely the worst...) 4.) Indiana Jones Trilogy (I hate the fourth one) 5.) Spider-Man Trilogy (I actually really enjoyed the 3rd movie)
My top 5 trilogies 1. Original Star wars 2. Lord of the rings 3. The dark knight 4. Indiana Jones 5. Spider man Edit over a year later: I have watched a lot movies since I made this list. My new list would be the same, just Godfather trilogy at 2, with everything else at 2 and below moving down.
Here are my favorite trilogies: - Before Trilogy - Spider-Man - The Lord of the Rings - How to Train Your Dragon - Back to the Future - Dollars Trilogy - Three Flavors Cornetto - Star Wars (Originals)
Gonzo Boy It’s a trilogy of romance movies (Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, and Before Midnight) directed by Richard Linklater and stars Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy as the main leads. They have little to no plot and it’s mostly just the leads talking, but they carried the films so well. Not to mention that their chemistry is spot-on; you really feel like they’re not just getting to know one another, but also that they’re falling in love. Do check them out when you can. They’re probably the best romance movies that I’ve ever seen.
*Gives warning that this is just his personal taste* "Of course, I totally respect that and think it's admirable to only include trilogies that you personally find enjoyable." *Lord of the Rings isn't on the list* "This video must be thrown into the fires of Mount Doom and destroyed forever."
In the description he hinted that two epic trilogies didn't make the list because they weren't his favorites. I think the two are The Lord of the Rings and The Godfather Trilogy!!
@@christophervinson5088 The Russo brothers keep saying that they're not pt 1 and 2, but I think they really are. They say that so people don't complain about it being just for profit, like with Harry Potter or the Hunger Games.
Godfather Expendables Dark Knight John Wick Lord of the Rings Planet of the Apes Pirates of the Caribbean Indiana Jones Spider Man Captain America (This movies are not in order)

One of the more obscure trilogies is probably the eastrail 177 trilogy for Unbreakable, Split and Glass. I wouldn't say it's one of my favourites but one I certainly enjoyed.

I am *shocked* by that! I do admit, though, that when I think of “The Lord of the Rings” I’m thinking of the extended cuts of the movies. To me, these are the true masterpieces. And those three movies combined take as much time to view as any two of the other trilogies on the list!
@@SeanChandlerTalksAbout so basically you know that they are amazing movies objectively but you don't adore them subjectively and you wouldn't be able to re-watch them? Fair by me, love your content and personality.
1: Star Wars prequels 2: Back to the future 3: Star Wars OT 4: Indiana Jones 1-3 5: John Wick 6: Pirates of the Caribbean 1-3 7: Maze Runner 8: LotR Honorable mention: Jurassic Park ( the 2 and especially 3 weren’t the best ) Jurassic World trilogy will probably be on my list once the 3rd comes out
I LOVED the Apes Trilogy! It was visually a masterpiece! And Andy Serkis was PERFECT as Caesar. The themes of this trilogy was so compelling. I found the conflict to be genius. What seemed like Apes v Humans turned into Apes v Apes or Humans v Humans. It was great! It made the action sequences more impactful because we’re invested in both sides of this war. I also really enjoyed the OST as well! It did a pretty darn good job complimenting the storytelling! Aiding the visuals and making the world more immersive. Seriously... it was good stuff.
My Top 3: 1: Dark Knight Trilogy 2: Star Wars Originals 3: Lord of the Rings Runners Ups(trilogies that have either 1/2 great movies but I still rewatch every year regardless): Back to the Future Star Wars Prequels The Matrix Alien Originals Raimi’s Spider-Man The Hobbit How To Train Your Dragon Die Hard Originals Bourne Originals Pirates of the Caribbean Originals Indiana Jones Originals Toy Story(4 is the epilogue) The Godfather Planet of the Apes(this decade) Blade Mighty Ducks X-Men Originals(2000-2007) Captain America John Wick Wolverine Trilogy And that’s all I got, if I missed anything let me know thanks! 👍
My three favorites are: The Dark Knight Trilogy The Back To The Future Trilogy The Original Star Wars Trilogy Maybe a generic list but these are some of my favorite movies that have impacted me the most and I really watch them like every year
So many great trilogies that you mentioned and so many more that you didn’t. The Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy will always be special for me along with the Bourne trilogy. At the same time Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Planet of the Apes are truly amazing

At the end I was confused as to why LOTR and and The Godfather weren't there than i remembered that you said that "two legendary trilogies are not in the list" i just smiled lol
1- LOTR - Perfection. Not much else to say. 2- How To Train Your Dragon - The pinnacle of animation and coming of age films. 3- OG Star Wars - Great story of the classic good v evil conflict with a lot of creativity.
Honestly I'm surprised Lord of the rings wasnt on this, But how can i say "Sean Chandler your list is wrong" Your such a good hearted person and throughout your videos have taught me and others to respect others opinions. And its because of you that I can respect others opinion. So I respect your list and think it was really good, I just think Lord of the rings should have been on there, but this is your opinion not my opinion. Great video and great content.
Nice list Sean!! Honorable mentions: Rush Hour, Rocky, The Bourne Indentity, Blade, Spiderman, Austin Powers, Matrix, Terminator, Star Trek orginal trilogy. @@superotto073 I am pretty sure he is talking about The Avengers, Age of Ultron and Infinity War/Endgame as they are two parts of the same film and are meant to be watched together.
I only have Top 5 : 5. Matrix / John Wick trilogy 4. Captain America trilogy 3. Sequel Star Wars trilogy 2. Original Star Wars trilogy 1. Back to the Future trilogy
Is great to see prequels here, everyone hate prequels, and they're not that good but atleast is better than the sequels and the third movie is a masterpiece (the first two was ok, a lot of flaws but ok)
I know, it's fucking bullshit. How tf do people think trilogies like Despicable Me or Spider-Man's are above HTTYD? Don't get me wrong, I love Despicable Me and Spider-Man... but it's like these people have never seen HTTYD. Bruh.
I love the planet of the apes trilogy so much. I feel connected ot it in a way words cant describe, every movie has so much to it, the score is unbelievable and caeser is a beast. The emotion is so powerful and i LOVE watching these movies.
Sean, what a great list! I loved it! My favorite trilogies are: 10. The Bourne Trilogy 9. How to Train Your Dragon Trilogy 8. The Cornetto Trilogy (though I think Worlds End is not so great) 7. Original Star Wars Trilogy 6. Toy Story Trilogy (though the new one is also outstanding ;) 5. Indiana Jones Trilogy 4. John Wick Trilogy (these movies are so damn good! Cant wait for more haha) 3. Dark Knight Trilogy 2. The Before Trilogy (with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. Some of the best films ever made.) 1. The Lord of the Rings. Hands down. Thank you for all of your lists and reviews! Cant wait to see more soon
1. Star Wars Original Trilogy 2. Dark Knight Trilogy 3. Sam Raimi Spider-Man Trilogy 4. Planet of the Apes Trilogy (most recent ones) 5. John Wick Trilogy 6. Captain America Trilogy 7. Indiana Jones Trilogy 8. Lord of the Rings Trilogy I didn’t copy off of you. We just enjoy a lot of the same genres. Love your content Sean
My Top 10 Favourite Trilogies. (not in order) 1. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy - The most consistent and grand trilogy I've ever seen. I love all three to the point that I don't have a number one favourite or a least favourite. 2. Star Wars Sequel Trilogy - I know that there's those who hate this trilogy but I personally love these films and they do things that I've wanted Star Wars films to do for a long time, especially The Last Jedi. 3. Planet of the Apes: Caesar Trilogy - A trilogy where each film got better than the last for me and the depth and emotion that these films reach are impressive. And Caesar is possibly the best character I've seen on film from the 21st century. 4. Original Star Wars Trilogy - Some of the greatest films made as well as the most influential and important. Pure sweeping storytelling. 5. Original Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy - Controversial, yes but I love these films for being pure epic swashbuckling fantasy adventure films with a large, sprawling story to tell. 6. Back to the Future Trilogy - Some of the first films that made me love movies. Fun time travel films that do some cool and even clever things which make each film standout. 7. Original Indiana Jones Trilogy - The quintessential adventure films ever and are A grade B movie serials. 8. The Dark Knight Trilogy - A compelling, grounded saga exploring the world of Batman that explore relevant themes. 9. Captain America Trilogy - A great series of films just on the character arc of Steve Rogers alone. 10. How to Train Your Dragon Trilogy - A trilogy full of mature and thematic substance that is more adult than expected with amazing lore and fantastic music.
Note there is a quartet sorry. 1. The Avengers 4 movies( Sorry I cant leave out Endgame from this) 2. The Star Wars OT Trilogy ( Fantastic) 3. The LOTR Trilogy ( Fantastic) 4. The Dark Knight Trilogy ( Also Fantastic) 5. The Captain American Trilogy ( Don’t like the first one but the second 2 are great) 6.The John Wick Trilogy ( Great) 7. The Jurassic Park Trilogy ( Nostalgia). 8. The Logan Trilogy ( the second 2) 9. The Star Wars Prequel Trilogy ( Good except for 2) 10. The Iron Man Trilogy ( Good)

My Top 3 Favorite Movie Trilogies of All Time! #3. Batman: The Dark Knight Trilogy #2. Middle-Earth: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy #1. Star Wars: The Prequel/Original Trilogy
I love a lot of these trilogies on your list. Star Wars is probably my favorite as well, alongside The Dark Knight, Toy Story, How to Train Your Dragon, and your biggest snub, Lord of the Rings.

@@Dame_Judi_Hench There are 4 Indiana jones movie Captain America is part of 23 film franchise like thor and anyway thor is going to have 4 film soon Star wars has got 8 films and even 10 if you count the spin off and lord of the ring is part of the Middle earth franchise which has got 6 films
NoobMaster69 maybe not Indiana Jones. But captain America and Thor are trilogies even if they are part of an expanded universe. I’m pretty sure he’s referring to the og Star Wars trilogy. And lord of the rings is one of the most famous film trilogies in film history.
My top 10 favorites are: 1 - The Lord of the Rings (All movies are just perfect, i can rewatch this all the time) 2 - The Dark Knight (Rises is the weaker film from the trilogy but it´s also my favorite) 3 - Toy Story (Just like the LotR this is a perfect trilogy but 3 is my favorite) 4 - John Wick (Hand to hand combat, if you take out asian cinema, this is the best Hollywood has to offer) 5 - Captain America (Don´t care much for the first film but the other 2 are top tier for me) 6 - The Cesar Planet of the Apes (I think there are only 3 trilogys where all the 3 movies are 10´s and together with Toy Story and LotR this is one of them) 7 - Indiana Jones (The weaker film, Temple of Doom is my favorite lol) 8 - The new Star Strek with Chris Pine (a great trilogy that´s highly underrated) 9 - Back to the Future (This is what fun is all about and Biff is one my all time favorite movie villains) 10 - How to Train your Dragon (It´s very hard to find faults in this movies, such a great story with amazing characters) Honorable Mentions: the Dollars trilogy and Despicable Me. I don´t put any of the Star Wars trilogy´s and the Raimi Spider Man because there is one film in each that i really don´t like.
Amazing list but why depiscable me is on honorable mentions? The first one is very good the 2 was ok and the third was ok(better than the second) but not deserve a honorable mention of best trilogies of all time but is your list and except for that is pretty solid, LOTR is my favorite too
