What makes FFDP so special is that fucking tone. I've always loved the production and audio mixing from the band. It's just so fuzzy, punchy and crunchy yet it sounds so clean and clear. It's like a well polished machine gun. Damn near every riff sounds great when put through their audio mixing.
My favorite riff from the latest album is Bad Seed. Seems like they have a task “having at least one cool 0-1 riff on an album”. But anyway, their debut one is still the best for me)
VERMILION mine are Break The Silence, Life To Lifeless, Rose Of Sharyn, As Daylight Dies, Save Me, Reject Yourself, In Due Time, Strength of the Mind and Eye of the Storm to name a few
I think that's a common thing with rock and metal bands today. Another great example is Nickelback. They are all competent musicians and songwriters, but instead of putting in effort and genuine ideas and emotions, they rather make vapid lowest-common-denominator corporate pop rock, because they know it's gonna sell no matter what. Listen to their first two albums and compare it with the later stuff. Quite a drop in quality isn't it?
This band gets way more flack than they deserve. Ivan Moody's lyrics are usually corny and sound written by an angsty teen but I've always enjoyed the riffs and instrumentation!

FFDP is my guilty pleasure of the metal world, the lyrics are angsty and don't really have much to say other than "fuck you, I'm tough", with a few exceptions. But damn, some of these songs are fun

personally i think they are alot more underrated. they are constantly bashed by listeners and i understand. but this isnt nickelback. the band members are genuine and nice people, not cocky like chad.
crofty when all of the albums since AC and half of WSOH2 have literally been “f*ck you you motherf*cker!” There has been no change AT ALL! And it’s just wasted talent. They rush almost every album, the most recent one sucked and they already have a release planned for the end of 2019
@@jsrmusic5386 i personally really like their softer songs cause they cant say things like that cause it would ruin their songs. i agree however that songs like It Doesnt Matter are wasted talent by saying things like that
Doomsday, Holy Hell, Naysayer, Gone with wind, Hereafter, Downfall, Gravity, A match made in heaven, Black wood, Gravedigger, Nihilist, The distant blue. All up to you, i just want you play architects's riff, they made a lot good riffs
