I'm glad you made this video. Earlier this year I had a doctor's appointment. The doctor stated he was going to put me on medication to lower my cholesterol. When the nurse handed me the prescription. I asked he if there was a more natural way to lower it. She looked like I was speaking a different language! I believe in healthier methods than pill after pill. Thanks for sharing! I have changed my diet to include most of the foods you highlighted on your video.

I make that morning pudding mix of no lactose milk chia seeds, freshly ground flax seeds and berries 3-4 days a week. Also steel cut oats for breakfast . Salad. Fish. Nuts. Legumes. Screw those LDL levels I'm taking charge and dropping sugar and cookies My weakness!
I eat and do all these things Dr. Mandell and my ldl came down 18 points in 6 months. I'll be doing labs again in May 2024, and I'm looking for 19 plus points down 🙏 I'm 66 and have always eaten good foods but definitely had some bad foods being a cake decorator for 30 years. Thank you Dr. My LDL is 9 points too high and Dr. Want to put me on meds,told him no, not unless it gets higher. It was 18 point too high 3 years ago so it is improving. By the time For my next blood work I know it will even get better.
My ldl was 151, now 133. All other labs are great always, including 60 and above hdl and great ratio between hdl and ldl. Great triglycerides too. Ratio of triglycerides and hdl great at 1.3, anything below 2 is great 👍
@juliadavid3637 That's the same with me. Stress causes emotional eating of cookies and ice cream. LDL is 173. HDL & Trig"s were in normal range. BP is good. Watching my diet and will reduce that LDL without drugs.

I’m trying to lower my cholesterol and have been prescribed statins which I don’t want to take. I didn’t know that there was a connection to sugar, so I’m going to work on reducing the amount of sugar in my diet. Thanks for this timely video 🙏🏻
Thank you Dr for all the information. It’s very informative. I just found out I have high cholesterol. I also have RA, hypothyroidism, and may have a fatty liver. I’m still fascinated by the whole cholesterol thing. The only really bad cholesterol is small dense cholesterol, even so called bad cholesterol is fine if it’s big and fluffy. Our brains are created and maintained using cholesterol and it only clogs where there is damage which has a tendency of being inflamed so reducing inflammation is the biggest help. Cholesterol in our blood is made by the body, it doesn’t go intact into the bloodstream. Looking at what we eat that feed’s cholesterol production we need to ensure that it is creating healthy fluffy cholesterol by making sure we eat the correct things. Cholesterol isn’t the leading cause of heart disease, that theory is debunked. Processed foods, including so called healthier choices, like low fat, vegan, meat free… those are what is causing it, plus the massive portions that everyone seems to judge food by.
What massive portions? Most of the time when you go to restaurants fast food or otherwise you have to buy more than one sandwich for example because a single one, which is usually high priced, is not enough to satisfy you so you have to buy two.

Ive had a blood test last week and came back with high cholesterol and high calcium not overly high but not where it should be .i am healthy as i can be . Have you any tips for lowering calcium levels especially? I do suffer from hiatus hernia not sure do if this is the issue more investigation is required but it is worrying me at the moment as i need to find out whats causing it .
