I feel ya. It always hits me as being one of the saddest episodes in the show. They were so close to begin with, but they grew apart, and then both of them had to go through so much crap. And even by the end of the episode, they still weren't on good terms with each other. :(

The saddest episodes Imo are tots, weirdmageddon 2 and 3, dipper and Mabel vs the future. and the saddest for me society of the blind eye.

Alex Hirsche had a good reason for ending it and I respect his choice. Although I have never cried at an ending quite as bad as for Gravity Falls.

Alicia Agos the creator wanted it to end by the end of season 2 because he didn't want it to get old and stale

I actually liked that it ended in such a beautiful, graceful way, rather than being done to death like some of the other shows. I was sad when it ended, but I knew it was for the best.

How could you not like Summerween? And how could you _not_ think the finale wasn't underwhelming? Seriously, Stan acts too immature for his character, Pacifica and Gideon lost all of their previous character development, Ford is still a narcissistic character only to overshadow Stan, Stan wasn't killed off with fire, like foreshadowed a year before in previous episodes, and sacrificed literally nothing to save the world, and the Bill Cipher Wheel wasn't even important to the story. The finale was terrible, I bet I could've done much better. But seriously, how could you not like Summerween?

Stardust Sprinkleshine Bro Stan is immature and that's why we love him so much, If he lost his crazy character then it would be horrible. Ford was never a narcissist and if he was he definitely isn't anymore, what did he do which was so narcissistic? The fact that they didn't use the circle is fucking brilliant, why do people keep complaining about that!? If it had been that they just got into a circle thing, all held hands and Bill was defeated it would be extremely anticlimactic and shitty, instead they used their brains and cunning in a clever way to defeat him which you didn't expect at all. As for the fact that Stan didn't sacrifice anything to save the world it's still a kid's show and can't have a really sad and dark ending and the way he started remembering was brilliant. It is sad to see that Gideon and Pacifica were kinda forgot about but that's really my only complaint, I still thought the ending was awesome but that's just my opinion.

+Oscar Shingler Your argument is very weak, my friend. Nowhere in the series leading up to the finale, did we ever see Stan act immature. It's not in his character at all, and was just added for plot convenience (aka lazy writing). If you don't see Ford as narcissistic, it's quite obvious. He puts himself before others, and is inconsiderate towards the feelings of other people. This is clearly evident with how he acts towards Stan. Not using the Bill Cipher Wheel is probably one of the biggest mistakes that was made with the finale. At the beginning of every episode, we have seen the wheel, and the fact that it was extremely unimportant this whole time, is an injustice to every fan who was expecting something great. But in the finale, it was just a plot device!! I agree with you, that it would suck if they just held their hands, and Bill was defeated, but there are much better ways of using the wheel, that would actually give us a good finale. It could be used by Bill to take down the barrier around the town, and Bill would need to put everyone in the circle for it to work, for example. There are much better ways of implementing it, and letting it have a significant role in the finale. 'Cunning and clever', I wish. What we got in the finale was terrible. The (incompetent) writers couldn't think of any half-assed way to defeat Bill, so they just re-used an idea from previous episodes, and their lack of effort showed. Gravity Falls was never known to bow down to the censors, and challenged them on many occasions, so there is no reason to say they couldn't have a meaningful finale because of censors. Stan really should have sacrificed himself to defeat Bill. There are so many ways to pull it off, but the (probably new team of) writers decided none of those ways were good enough, and thought having him just temporarily lose his memories (the scene where he got his memories back was so shitty, by the way) just belittles Bill. Oh, and because of lazy writing, the shown to be smart dream demon with near limitless power was outran, and belittled by a couple of 12 year olds multiple times, when he could have easily caught them by just thinking about it. I again, can't believe why anyone would like the finale! It was terrible!

+MacK Davidson Hiya Mack :) Top 10 Worst american dad is definitely coming up as it has been requested a fair bit. At the moment, I wouldn't be able to do a worst gravity falls list because I can't come up with any episodes I actively dislike. Did you have a particular one you disliked?

I honestly hate the one with the Sever'l times because that one with Wendy's boyfriend was at his absolute worse when he used a CD that had a hidden message in it that brainwashed her up since she wanted to break up with him for being a total jerk and the following episode with the love god. Don't ask why, I just kinda don't like the ending to that one, at least in my opinion.

Oh yeah I forgot about that CD one.. That was kinda creepy.. Fair enough. Love God seems to be one of the lower rated episodes.
