Been playing piano for years I finally decided to go head and start my own studio and with all thanks to you bro you saved me money and got together at the same time respect brodie I hit the like and subscribed and thanks
Wavy...I just come here to see your happy face, you make me want to learn more even tho I am old school. I've been recording at home for decades, but there is always more to learn because things are always changing. The thing is that the internet did not exist back then, can you imagine we never had this kind of accessable information, you learned by being in the studios. I took a gig in N Hollywood at a big studio, they wouldn't allow me to be in the actual studio which I thought was funny because I ran my own studio and had been in many studios as a musician with famous people. Thank goodness it's not that way any more. Wavy is such a winner. Punching in is the way to go. Old school is still in play.
I have the stop the video right when you said all you freeloaders that don't hit subscribe that just keep coming back. I tell you what it's your personality that brings me back not to mention you do get to the point and you explained it very well and very very briefly you give us an opportunity to trial and error but you point us in the right direction. They say there's those who can teach and those who can do. And when I don't have to tell you you have both. I hate to boast but I do too but I'm not on that professional professional levelwhich I will be because I can see my future bright and just very vivid and I've never been able to see so clearly my ankles are swollen because I've been sitting down trying so hard to learn my passion. not really learn but to understand the technology that mankind has a adaptive us into our world. #respect
You have a cool vibe ! Thanks for all these tips. Every video I watch about home studios they say to chose your room, make sure it sound good. But I only have one room, I bought a micscreen but I can still hear the fridge buzzing and neighbors, even if I hang curtains everywhere 😕
I often watch wayne Video and i learned a lot from him he is my professor when it comes in mixing. his the one who teach me on his video how to add EQ Compression delay reverb everything in mixing from scratch to finish until now his the one i really rely on when it comes in proper way of mixing BIG THANKS WAYNE!!!
Hey Wayne, BIG thanks from Quebec/Canada, I love watching your Video, you alway`s bring a smile to my face. I did Both my Boot and Live Room last summer and it did help me a lot . I Used 6 Bundle of rockwool in the corners of my 12 X 13 Boot and cover all the original Gyprock walls with recycle Wood . Quote by obi-wan kenobi: “Your eyes can deceive you, don't trust them.”
I do look forward to all your advice, I bought some equipment for home use, basically to make my gf a CD of me singing her favorite songs, hard to find a karaoke bar that does any recording, yes I'm a karaoke junkie, used to KJ back in the day. Thank you for your video
Wavy Wayne is the best! I love your content. By the way, are you self-taught in audio or you went to school? I am curious to know. Man, you can be a professor at my school. No joke.
SO Wayne, I got the gear bro. Been with the head at the wall about getting my UAD signal flow just right, a few flavors. Trying to make a few templates and stuff to make my workflow easier. I'm finally getting in a nice studio session in, have a cool project, kinda over recorded myself into just being "overwhelmed". Just hearing you say the same things I've learned with a little more shine on details was a good siesta.
OK OK OK I sub'ed. I am a rock and metal guy so the music you do is definitely not my ting, BUT your Vids are super useful! and the info translates genre's very well.
Thanks for the tips brother! for all the bad that this quarantine has brought at least I have time to really work on my music. Also I think its keeping me sane lol. What do you think of those AI mastering sites like landr are they worth it? I just really started to make things for release and I do my best at mastering but I have a lot to learn.
Hey Wayne I think I’m new to your channel and recently during quartine I discovered I can sing a bit still working on my vocals but can you put together a list of videos that have like what to buy to record what to do how to do it ? I would appreciate it thx
Peace Brother Wavy! I've seen your videos where you tell us somewhere around -18dB is the sweet spot for a lot of plugins, but here you said record around -6dB. My question for you is... should we record as high as possible without clipping, then use the gain tool/plugin to bring that level down so it is good for the plugins???
Do any of you have any issues with audio recordings making a popping sound, i was messing around with garageband yesterday and i couldnt figure out why this was happening
I never thought about the clap test to I've been recording in this room for a year and I just failed that CLap test. 🤐 But I'm going to tag you in an Instagram picture how I have my microphone set and I would appreciate a response if it will help. Otherwise I got to get a better room. The damn clap test. Some of the most difficult things or the simplest. A very major oversight. I guess this is why it's important to make sure I always. My eyes and cross my t's or is it cross my t's and Dot my i's
Buy a good preamp. My Vintech x73i took my recordings from amateur to professional at the flip of a switch (and the turn of a few knobs of course) The Neve is too expensive, that's why Vintech
Hello, wavy Is it possible to change the background track from original songs. If I will get a home studio equipment. Every song I put to my channel I get copyright claim, thanks 🙏
