No offense, dude, but the two hottest TV moms of the '50s and '60s, hands down, were Elizabeth Montgomery and Mary Tyler Moore. That's it, end of story. Not even room for debate. The recently departed Connie Hines of "Mr. Ed" almost qualifies, but she was never a mom on that show, just Wilbur's wife. If her character had been a mom, however, you would have to include her as well - what a body she had!
Elizabeth Montgomery was the hottest TV mom of her time. I never thought much about these others. They all tended to resemble Lucille Ball, who in my opinion wasn’t hot at all. Second place Jane Wyatt. I never really noticed that big pretty apple head until this video. Lol. Why stop here. Let’s see your picks for 70s and then 80 s and up to today. Nice job. Made me think a little bit. I grew up on these shows.
@elc1960 I did have Connie Hines on the list and started making her video until I realized she never was a mom. Thanks for the comments on the videos, when I started these I thought there would be a lot more debates and comments on the list.
@dagwood727 Sad to say, the reason may be the fact that there are so many of these "hot TV moms" postings already on RU-vid. Most of them, however, include TV moms of more recent vintage like Patricia Heaton from "Raymond", and therefore would appeal to younger viewers. RU-vid's demographic is largely 12 - 25 year olds, and predominantly male as well. I thought of two others who should've made your list: Diahann Carroll ("Julia") and Carolyn Jones ("Morticia" on "The Addams Family").
I beg to differ, the most beautiful TV moms were Donna Reed, Elizabeth Montgomery and Shirley Jones. MTM got less attractive as she got older, especially after her facelift at age 40.
Liz Montgomery hands down. How many "moms" can get away with mini-skirt? I like to think you can squeeze Connie Hines in this. Not a mom but how about Barbara Eden as a hot wife? And why are all the husbands so brain dead?
