Sorry for the extremely long wait for this video. College finals and wisdom teeth removal delayed this video for a couple of weeks, plus it being this long didn't help either lol. Also for the future, do you guys want me to give summaries of the entire stories of lesser known characters like I did with A'Sharad Hett? And when it comes for well known characters, like Obi-Wan and Ahoska, do you want me to do summaries for them too or just a run down of some of their more interesting and lesser known facts about them? Thanks for all the feedback :)
Summaries for all of them would be great. After all, there will be people watching this in the future, and this might help introduce them to Star Wars.
I will wait then. Anything to get me off this planet called Earth. Things on this planet are sad. I’ll let you slay a Jedi and take my lightsaber. What do you say??
Tuskans aren’t human. They and Jawas both were originally from tattoine(I forgot how to spell it) when it was a tropical planet but were enslaved by another race that destroyed it making it a desert. That’s when the split between the too species started.
"Shaak-Ti initially pummeled Starkiller with her overwhelming force abilities and the strikes from the massive sarlaac pit she commanded" After playing through that level on Sith Lord difficulty... that description is too accurate.
Not sure how many people knew this but there is actually a deleted scene in revenge of the smith where anakin and Obi-Wan watch Grievous Kill Shazam-Ti.
She definitely did start out as a scrappy. I recently watched all of the Clone Wars, but I really wasn't certain I was going to enjoy it based on the early episodes... Fortunately the writers did a great job with her character development, and made her another beloved character of the series. I started the series not wanting to like her, and ended it saddened at the end of season 5. And her absence was definitely felt in the season after that...
I think that Sidious knew that if either Yoda or Shak-Ti had come with Windu (let alone both) to confront him, that he would NOT have survived. The Battle of Coruscant was designed explicitly to make sure that Shak-Ti was hurt; and arranged the attack on Kashyyyk specifically to lure Yoda off-planet.
Oh, the one where u fight him? Yeah, that was annoying. When he would try to force maelstrom and just kept trying every time you got him to stop. And the dialogue, too.
@Melkhiordarkblade, Nien Nunb ; It's A'sharad, NOT Sharad. Sharad was his father. Hence the name A'sharad. A'sharad was Anakin's friend BEFORE Anakin went Tuskan Raider slaughtering... You know, when he was just a lonely wee kid from tattooine amongst a bunch of Jedi...
Aside from Anakin, Ahoska has one of the best character development in the whole star-wars trilogy watching her grow up from undisciplined brat to one of the most fearless, honorable force welders ever created she sparked my love for star wars again after losing interest after the last true star wars movie Revenge of the Sith.
far too late to post this but that won't stop me from replying to your comment because like to rewatch older videos that i have watched multiple times before. yes your choice of jedi cal kestis is a very good choice and i appreciate the jedi you picked unique survival story also you could've picked Cere but still cal is good choice
You guys remember prauf? Yea cal destroyed the reason why prauf sacrificed himself by revealing himself as the jedi. Also despite being cals closest friend, he is barely ever mentioned/ honored for his sacrifice. Still a good choice tho
I will always pick Obi-Wan, but I can accept Ahsoka at the top. Pretty sure Obi-Wan would be proud of his grandpadawan anyways. Also, the two of them got significantly more votes than the others. ^^
Me : trying to watch the video Video: here's a cool jedi for you to look up Me: o sick -pauses and spends 2 hours on Wookiepedia before remembering the video-
The fact that palpatine started the war between the republic and the separatist and then bankrupt them and have them weaken each other and then in one day swooped in a took over is genius.
I'd love for the new Canon to do a story similar to the old Purge/Dark Times series; just a bunch of Jedi trying to survive while being hunted down by a Vader still adapting to his new duties.
Wait, isn't that the same thing as the Coruscant Nights trilogy and the Last Jedi book? I haven't read the trilogy (I don't have it) but it sounds similar, and that's what Last Jedi is about.
I agree. Obi Wan should be the number one Jedi who survived Order 66. He is the consummate, and my absolute favorite, Jedi. Yoda & Mace Windu are number 2 and number 3 respectfully.
@403 Forbidden It's just that she doesn't deserve number one. I mean I like her character but she isn't the best character. And the fact that most people like her Just on her looks isn't fair.
"There’s no source material." My ass. I would watch the hell out of any of these guy's stories in feature length films. The lore in the Star Wars universe is 2nd to none.
Umm... then you need to take a look at Warhammer 40K's lore. George Lucas wrote one of the greatest sci-fi epics in existence which a been added to and elaborated on by a great community of content creators...but, it pales in comparison to the amount of lore in the WH40K universe as well as just how in depth that lore is. As a young boy, I saw A New Hope seven times in the theater(pre VHS and Betamax era). I collected Star Wars figures, comics, and every toy there was. I've been a Star Wars fanatic for over 40 years. The Skywalker saga has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember and I can't stress this enough...but then I found WH40K. There is NOTHING as epic as the WH40K universe...the GrimDark. "In the GrimDark of the far future, there is only war."
@@knowplay3258 Couldn't agree more. I'm a lore fan of many big and small fantasy franchises, but Warhammer40k beats them all by a fair margin. My problem with 40k is, that it somewhat ruined other universes for me. For instance, when the community calls a certain Star Wars character a badass, I always think to myself, "Well... that would be just an average person in 40k." I mean, just look at Kenobi. He is a somewhat badass character indeed, but compared to someone like Kaldor Draigo from 40k? Not so much anymore. :D
@@arafat9828Hard to break that down in a short manner. It's basically a dystopian future. Humanity is mostly united under a single nation, called "The Imperium of Men", which controlls about 600 Million worlds in our galaxy, making it the biggest remaining empire. The thing is - the only ressource humans have in abundance are humans themselves and they are treated that way. They are used as cannon fodder soldiers, work force, fuel and food, each and every single one of them. . The Imperium of Men is besieged from all sides by aliens of all sorts and by demons and dark gods from another dimension, called "The Warp", which is basically hell. The only way of faster-than-light travel is by entering the warp. Human ships tear a hole in our dimension and travel through hell itself, till they do the same again and jump out of it again thousands of light years away from where they entered. . The leader of the Imperium is the so called "Emperor of Mankind", a almost 50.000 year old being with godlike powers. That's why he is worshipped by all citizens of the Imperium as such and the inquisition makes sure it stays that way by opressing and killing everyone who speaks against that. The funny thing is, the Emperor actually doesn't want them to do that, but since a civil war 10.000 years earlier he is just a corpse in a comatose state and slowly rotting away. He is a lot more complex than that, but that's just to give you an idea about who he is. . The most famous figures of Warhammer40k are the Space Marines, or "Astartes". They are super humans created by the Emperor himself to helm him conquer the galaxy. They are 2,50 m tall guys with three lungs and two hearts, clad in the finest armour and whielding the best weaponry avaivable to human forces (for the most part), not able to feel fear or sexual tension. Other humans view them as mythical angels of death. There are about a thousand chapters of said Space Marines, each containing about a thousand members, some more, some less. You could say they are basically structured like medieval knights chapters. . This is just a tiny little fraction of what Warhammer40k is about. There is so much more, but I can't go on forever here. Most people don't even know everything about the lore after 30 years of being a fan of it. So there ya go. :
Pretty sure based on the Jedi that survived in this video, Yoda most likely lied (or was simply misinformed), considering the number of Jedi that survived order 66 and were still kicking it even after Yoda made himself into a force ghost.
I agree with a few of you, Yoda was absolutely strong enough with the force to sense other Jedi, he just knew from experience that none of them would have been able to defeat both Vader and Sidious, and all of this stuff came out a couple decades after Return of the Jedi was released so it's a very small continuity error, because at that time it was just the Jedi who hadn't been discovered yet by Luke, and the only survivors that were intended were Obi-wan and Yoda.
I really like Ahsoka, she's my favorite character. But she left the order before order 66. So I wouldn't call her a jedi survivor. Maybe a force user survivor.
@@Mateocabrera2389 yes but to quote ahsoka herself during her fight with Vader. After Vader says " revenge is.Not the Jedi way. " Ahsoka replied back. " I'm no Jedi"
Yeah but she used to be in the Jedi Order which is why she's included in the list. And she was a target of Order 66 because she used to be in the Order
Cal is awesome, and has a freakishly similar complexion to mine, but his story is too basic to be voted for on a large scale. As far as we know, he does not affect future events in canon, and I doubt legends will ever adopt him as a character, so his story is just too short to gain a massive following.
@@Archynan I would be extremely surprised if Cal doesn't come back. And if he doesn't it'd be super disappointing because then there was no reason to make the character so rigid and we could have had some customization options in that game.
@@Orto-jj2di Jedi is literally a position. You can't be a Jedi without the order. The reason most force users are called Jedi is because most commoners don't know the difference. Most common folk in the galaxy don't know the difference between a Jedi and a Sith either.
As far as order 66 goes, she was marked for death just like the other Jedi that were still in the order. And other than leaving the order, she was a Jedi both in her training and her ideals. I'd say she is as much a Jedi as Luke, Ezra Bridger, or Rey.
It's interesting that Shaak Ti had such a big roll in Force Unleashed considering that in an Episode 3 deleted scene, Grevious killed her in front of Anakin and Obi-wan on the ship they were rescuing Palpatine on lol
Glad to see Shaak Ti made this list. I remember watching the miniseries by Tartakovsky back in '03 and immediately fell in love with the character. Roron Corobb was pretty badass too..
Shaak Ti and the fight on the maglev tracks against the magnaguards cemented that series as an all time great. Also that Ithorian Jedi is too bad ass. *Ithorian tears durasteel with the force of his roar* Shaak Ti - "Ithorians. Four throats" Palatine, scratching his ear - "So I've heard"
a few more things about Quinlan vos! He met up with Han solo down the road and helped him with some imperial trouble, talked to han about the force, and then wiped han's memory of quinlan being there at all. (this was a teenage han solo). "Master Vos" was brought up once in episode 3. Obi-wan was saying to I believe anakin skywalker when they were on coruscant that "master vos is taking a party to Boz Pity." Strange part of that was the fact that the battle on Boz Pity was in clone wars book #7. It had a lot of jedi and sith in one small area, including asaaj ventress, grievous, dooku, Master: kenobi, skywalker, windu, bayts, adi gallia, and Kit Fisto. But Vos was not there... Figured I would post that here quickly. AMAZING VIDEO THOUGH! :)
The ones listed were only the top ten and the honorable mentions. There must be more if these are the top ten who knows how many more were out there who also slept through the Clone Wars lol.
Coffee Succubus Hell yeah!!! Mara Jade is a BAD ASS!!!! I love her. Live Ahsoka too. My top 3 fave females in SW are Satele Shan, Mara Jade, and Ahsoka.
The thing is is that you have to write them like normal people and make them have weaknesses like normal humans would just because your a women that does not make you a god
@. Rey: *Has power and intuitiveness that matches Luke and Anakin when he was untrained.* Everyone else: "That's such a poor writing, she's such a Mary Sue!!" But sure, clearly it's just me reaching
Ahoska Tano is not a surprise once you realize her story. She even indirectly interacts with Yoda a few times after the war and they are separated. She is so popular Disney actually is bringing her back in the Mandolorian series season 2 for the first time as a live action character rather than a cartoon character. Too bad this came out before Season 7 of the Clone Wars because her battle and win over Darth Maul was pretty epic, although Order 66 made it short lived.
i have never read any of the comics but just from that first character it just makes me go how do they have all these awesome stories yet we got solo, episode 7 and 8.
Ahsoka was likely one of the best Jedi in the Order at that point as far as Padawans go, considering she held her own and survived several encounters with Grevious, Dooku, and even defeated Ventress. If she hadn't been betrayed and left the Order, and if Order 66 had been postponed, she would've been well on her way to becoming a council member.
YESSS 15:00 I loved force the unleashed games. I played them all the time when I was younger. They were my favorite games, and I remember playing it. I'm so glad to see him in this video.
I'm curious about people's ideas regarding the possible survival of Mace Windu. We have seen Anakin survive a huge fall in Coruscant and has survived having his arm cut off and blasted with lightning as a padawan. It is very possible that Master Mace Windu survived the confrontation with Palpatine and Anakin.
You just have to love Ahsoka Tano. The Togruta - girl was by far the best figure of the Clone Wars - series. Btw I liked this series much more than the rebels- series. One of many reasons was that I could not recognize Ashoka in her appearance as an adult plus her part in the series was just small.
He stopped being a Jedi the moment he uttered the words " What have I done!", in the movie anyway, if he says something different in anything else then it's the moment he cuts off Mace's hand.
Lord Vader is not a Jedi. He is a Sith Lord who would kill you for associating him with the Jedi. Anakin Skywalker is a Jedi who died with the birth of Lord Vader, so he is not a survivor of order 66. Anakin died with the majority of Jedi who were slain that day.
Probably because most people have never heard of him, or like in my case I had heard of him but never knew anything about him other than he was a wonky looking Jedi Master. Knowing what I know after the video, I would of definitely voted him.
I love me some Ahsoka, but Yoda being 3rd is just insane. Both in terms of power, and significance, there really can't be anyone else in the same ballpark.
After the defeat of Darth Krayt's One Sith,Master K'Kruhk, then over 180 years old, became the new Grand Master of the New Jedi Order as well as one of the three leaders of the Galactic Federation Triumvirate alongside Admiral Gar Stazi and Empress Marasiah Fel
