If you like cumin notes in perfume just try rasasi daarej and rasasi tasmeem. Inexpensive fragrances from a niche brand. Both of them have cardamom and vanilla too.
I own only one from Jovoy and that's my number one favorite from them. Of course that is Remember Me. OMG that vanilla from Cecile is absolutely gorgeous
It's basically a ranking list because the house just seems to know how to many such high quality scents , they maintain such a high standard. Great to get both your takes on these , and dalya and you together is always a great experience to watch 🙏

Private Label is my number one, although it wasn't an instant love for me. It's quite a brutal scent in some ways. I definitely get the animalic oud reference. Pavillon Rouge is my number two from Jovoy x
I haven't had the opportunity to try anything from the Jovoy Fragrance line, but they sound like some high quality and well crafted fragrances that I would love to try.

I love Jovoy and it's completely thanks to you. I have Private Label, Pavillon Rouge and I have Les Jeux sont Faits on the way. Private Label is the best thing I have ever smelt, and it's my signature scent.
Don't really care for psychedelique...😢 I find it way stronger than private label. Love incident diplomatique though. Remember me is fantastic. Even with the lactonic accord it is quite unisex, there's a tenderness to it. Jovoy's enfant terrible to me is way nearer to dyptique's philosykos as a fig fragrance while L'arbre de la connassaince uses fig leaves more than the fruit itself and it's less milky, way greener, a lymphatic, vaguely poisonous scent. Intriguing, possibly a signature fragrance. Great video as always Sebastian!
About mimosa: when I collaborated with Sven from SP Parfums I wanted to create a unique powdery perfume and any powdery perfumes have iris in them so I wanted to use something different I went for mimosa. In 2018 that was absolutely NOT a trendy note and our creation Powder & Dust turned out (after many trials) to be absolutely one of a kind and that's for it even won the most prestigious artistic award "Art & Olfaction Award for a best artistic perfume of 2019" and then I noticed other niche brands focused on mimosa like Love Mimosa by Amouage, Touche Finale (which is so beautiful I smelled it just once but it was soo soo pretty) and a few others...So maybe me and Sven started a mimosa trend?:)

I have enjoyed Jovoy for quite some time now owning around a dozen or so with Les Jeux Sont Fait, Ambre Premier, and Psychedelique being the ones I reach for most often followed by La Liturgie Des Heures and L’Art De La Guerre. Cheers

I love jovoy! Jovoy has got some big complex scents that project and most of their scents are like that.. it"s not light or airy…. it"s in your face and out there.. and i love them!!

And I love Gourmands. 🍫 And I love Incense. OMG. I also love Fig Notes. Philosykos has too much Coconut.🥥 Wish I had every one of those Jovoy selections except for Millesimee. Not at all partial to Rose.🌹Patchouli is my absolute favorite ABOVE all else. Big YES to Psychedelique at #1. 🌿🍃😎
Great list, and amazing discussion about scents perception, as always, between you and Dalia. But 1 scent for me is missing, L'Art de la Guerre, very unique take on fougere style. Rhubarb and immortelle. If I'll prepare today list of top 10 rhubarb scents (yes, I like this note), this probably would be the number one.

Interesting, I thought that *I* was their biggest fan... ;) I own samples of most of their line, and my top 3 favorites are Psychedelique / La Liturgie des Heures/Remember Me, and recently loving Touche Finale and Rouge Assassin. So many fragrances to love here, I'll be watching this whole video a few more times haha.
Hi Sebastian & Dalya. Great video. I have Incident Diplomatique. I bought some samples online at Jovoy and after trying some, my favourites are: La lithurgie des heures and Red Pavillon. Some others that appear in your video are well crafted fragrances but not for my taste; some I haven’t smelled them yet. I’d like to try L’Arbre de la connaîssance, for example, and Psychedelique. The latter I will definitely try when I can put some money aside.
I love Gardez Moi! I haven't tried any of the others you mentioned, I don't think. It sounds like I'd remember if I had. L’ARBRE DE LA CONNAISSANCE is on my must-try list now.

I love almost every release from jovoy except rouge assassin simply because I'm not an iris fan, such an amazing house. Extremely creative and high quality and the price is very reasonable (If you are in France).

I was in Jovoy parfumery and first one that I tried was Psychedelique. Omg earth filthy patchouli hit mine senses I was like HELL NO! Finished my job there and smelled my patchouli arm again and it smelled heavenly! Dry down is the star about this fragrance and it's last and last ....
Jovoy surely is a high quality, but affordable brand. I own Private Label and Incident Diplomatique and love both, but can't wear them too often, because they're so strong. The latter is also not a compliment getter... Maybe too harsh / dry-smokey. Les Jeux sont Faits smells terrible in my opinion (I don't like Angelica), La Liturgie des Heures is kind of okay, but has a slightly synthetic-sweet note which I don't like, and I think Psychédelique is a bit of a more edgy, dirty version of Coromandel (EdT) and not as well-balanced. But all seem very well-crafted.

Great video! This is my first time hearing about this house. Since Dalya likes incense, ask her which of these fragrances is close to or similar to Jeroboam Vespero? I went back and checked my drawer of samples and found Psychedelique!

Hello Sebastian I see that Jovoy Paris has a new fragrance that is exclusive to the new London store which inspires the name 21 conduit st. It appears to be a barbershop inspired fragrance Lavender Almond vetiver is listed. I see that it is listed on Fragrantica but sadly no reviews as of yet. I bought the POUDRÉ in Munich 2009! It is discontinued, unfortunately 😪 And it is empty... I own a bottle of ROUGE ASSASIN & LES JEUX SONT FAITES! The last is too much for me, for ME😂😂😂😂😍 Never happend before 😂
