+Armando Valtierra Sure thing. I've been replaying Zelda games for the past six months. Started with OoT (3DS), then MM (3DS), TWW (GC), TP and ALBW. The reason: I never played Skyward Sword and I wanted to sort of build to the moment. I'm almost done (final temple) and although I feel dissatisfied with the latter, it has been a pretty cool experience. Besides, noticing that TWW has aged well is priceless. A beautiful game.
+Pablo Coss Flores man I have never finished a single game lol mostly because the games weren't mine but I have a 2ds & wanna get ocarina of time but my r button is jammed & I'm pretty sure the R button is pretty important for those games
I've played Stone Tower right after beating the Spirit Temple once just to see which one I like better. I found out that I prefer Stone Tower. I like how unique the atmosphere and the puzzles are, not to mention the awesome mini-bosses. The Spirit Temple is definitely in the top three for me, but Stone Tower just barely beats it.
I love how different our lists are. My personal favorites are Goron Mines, Snowpeak Ruins, Great Bay, Water Temple(OOT), and the Lanayru Mining Facility
+Dank Jolo I know exactly what you mean; the phantom hourglass is never even mentioned in any legend of zelda countdown, as if the game doesn't even exist
+Charlie Marshall I guess thats because (imo) it doesnt compare to the other great zelda titles. it sure is nice and all, but there are way better zeldas.
Snowpeak was awesome. What I liked about that was the whole exploring a giant mansion with ice fighters that throw Javelins. Snow wolves won it for me. Just getting there by a race on a frozen leaf makes it memorable enough.
@@arthurmorgan1008 it just depends on if you like playing one song a lot to make the statues if you do then it is fine if you dont the forest temple is on top. Though for me it is the spirit temple is my number one though the forest isnt too far behind
Skyward Sword honestly only had two really good dungeons (Lanayru Mining facility and Sand Ship), the rest were lacking in comparison to other zelda games.
My favourite is Snowpeak Ruins from Twilight Princess. I love that it takes place in a mansion. Runner-ups are the Forest Temple, Earth Temple and Sandship. Also, the Tower of the Gods? Really? I consider that the worst dungeon in the game.
+Bman54X Snowpeak Ruins was certainly a unique level. Trying to find that yeti's lost items was infuriating but still fun and refreshing. And the puzzles were neat (if frustrating as well).
Mitjitsu Well I think otherwise. Cool boss, but I thought the dungeon was a chore. I admit Dragon Roost Cavern and Forbidden Woods are fairly average, but the Earth and Wind Temples are awesome.
+Bman54X Agreed. I recently replayed TWW (Gamecube version) and, although I came to realize Tower of the Gods is not as bas as I remembered, I don't think it's top 10 material.
I loved the master quest spirit temple, in my opinion that and ganon's tower were more memorable in that version. They were more challenging and really had some tough puzzles that had to make you think
This is my top 10 3D Zelda Dungeons of all time: 🛡️ #10 Lightning Temple(TOTK) #9 Vah Ruta(BOTW) #8 Goron Mines(TP) #7 Stone Tower(MM) #6 Spirit Temple(OoT) #5 Ancient Cistern(SS) #4 Snowpeak Ruins(TP) #3 Sandship(SS) #2 Arbiter’s Grounds(TP) #1 Forest Temple(OoT)
Water temple is really easy. Just get compass and map. I know it gets called for hardest zelda dungeon a lot, but jabu jabu in oracle of ages is hardest by far.
Iapitus McHeimer Well, differing opinions sure, but still, I found it pretty darn hilarious to see it as at least and honorable mention. I think more people hate it than love it. I'm more or less indifferent, but I find it annoying at times.
I like Snowhead Temple in Majora's Mask because of the route up the temple to get to the boss door. Also.........the boss which was a giant bull. Spinning around and hitting him was fun.
LordAztahoth every time my sister gets to the graveyard in oot she gives up bc her fear of the undead and blood. I beat shadow temple when I was 7 at 3 in the morning. I really wish she would play shadow temple and the well. they are scarily fun! and the rest of the game is awesome!
OtakuZelda+ Stone tower temple is one of (if not the best) dungeon. It test your abilities, it has a cool theme where you flip the dungeon, and as you said the music is fantastic. It also has a good pay out in a the end and it made me forget about Great Bay.
As far as dungeon design and intricacy go, Twilight Princess' dungeons were a bit lackluster in my opinion. But the atmosphere is almost unrivalled. The standout is, of course, the Lakebed Temple. Puzzlebox dungeons and players are in a love/hate relationship really. Dungeons like The Water Temple of OoT, the Lakebed Temple in TP and the Sky Keep of SS are real treasures of puzzle design, but sometimes become unbearable due to poor progression choices. Just imagine the Water Temple without needing to constantly equip/remove the Iron Boots for example. I just feel that dungeons today more often than not house the challenge, while they should BE the challenge. But what do I know, a sucker whose favourite dungeon is a water temple, about dungeon design. 😂
My favorite, The Forest Temple was here! Awesome list! :) I think The Deku Tree should have been an honorable mention at least. It was actually brilliant because it was a tutorial that did not feel at all like a tutorial.
Honestly I find the Temple of Time from Twilight Princess very underrated and a really good idea for mechanics being a kind-of throwback to WW's uses of moving statues. Overall, really good (like pretty much all of the TP dungeons
@@Levaunch the snowblock puzzle was one of the better aspects of the dungeon, the slow swinging platforms, tedious pace and headaches for enemies make it ass
Personally I find the temple of time to be an amazing dungeon due to the fact that I think that the temple of time was meant to be a dungeon in oot but was scrapped. Hear me out whenever you play saria’s song and talk to Navi in a dungeon she will always say “Link try to keep moving!” Which she says that in the temple of time. That’s why I believe that TP was the chance to breathe new life into a scrapped dungeon
I liked the spirit temple from ocarina of time. It had neat puzzles, good loot like the mirror shield and silver gauntlets, and it actually put traveling through time to good use. Also, the boss fight with two parts that include shooting an ice/fire imbued mirror shield and neat gameplay was nice too.
What we need is a shrinking mechanic like in Minish Cap only for a console game. Having this ability opened a whole new world of possibilities for puzzles, dungeons, and even just getting around armos. It allowed you to explore not only the Minish areas (villages) but also places you could normally explore while big (like castle town), only with a different vantage point. It was an interesting mechanic that really added a lot of variety to the game. I think that would add some excellent dungeons to the list.
+HG Shurtugal do you ever forget about the compass in that place? I swear i'm always missing it by the end... Also when I LPed that dungeon it took roughly a minute to kill Bongo Bongo... he was... really lame...

Number 3 is a lie. Lol no one actually likes Turtle Rock. My two favorites are the Forest Temple and Shadow Temple. The Forest Temple being my favorite.
@@jakeabc123 I took into account many factors, like physical structure/geometry, overall level of difficulty, non-linearity and lower emphasis on puzzle-solving vs linearity and higher empahsis on quality step-by-step puzzles, and graphical art design style. Accessibility is important, so I was determining this for a more objective standpoint.
I loved the dungeon thought I did have stuff I dislike about it. Those things that attacked I bubbles were just annoying. I really wonder why we couldn't get data on the fish I mean forbidden sure but come on. The boss battle was amazing.
+BHM Productions *Lakebed Temple And yeah it was so ethereal. It was so watery but you had all the fancy waterwork and that hub-room with the staircase and the chandelier was beautiful :D
+Xenon631 As far as water temples go, Lakebed was FAR better than the OoT Water Temple and Great Bay Temple in MM. BUT I think the most disappointing element of the dungeon, which is its boss, really brought it down in quality.
Honestly, I feel lucky that this game franchise was even created. The Legend of Zelda series has given me thousands of hours of fun and happiness from the time I was 7 years old, clear into my late 20’s and quite obviously beyond. Thank you, Shigero Miyamoto, I’m forever in your debt.
One of my favourite Zelda temples is the ice temple in Phantom Hourglass because I like how they used the grappling hook/rope in it & that was the only boss in the entire game where I had to look online on how to beat it. I also like the number 10 one because that was 1 of the few water temples that didn't want me to rip my hair out.
On the real real, the Spirit Temple was my absolute favorite, there was so many variables and different things that needed to be accomplished, and you get the coolest looking shield in all of Zelda. And I've never thought the forest temple was that great besides the boss. That is one of the most creative bosses to fight.
JebaJebaJemeh absolutely right. one of my favorite temples. might be repetitive as hell, but, it's a great puzzle, and when you boil it down that's what Zelda games go off of, so I think it's amazing. perfect balance of challenging and still keeping me interested. anyone that doesn't like it I believe it's because they couldn't beat the hard temple on their own.
The forest temple only works so well because the music was composed so well. The tune captivates the player with the pure feel of being in ancient mysterious woods, apart from that the guy that came up with twisting room floor was a genius mastermind, perfectly adding to the feeling of mystery.
For me it will always be the Thieves' Hideout from Link to the Past. It was rare to have dungeons with substantial backstories back then, and figuring out the secret with the boss room is one of my best early gaming memories. Also really enjoyed the desert temple from Ocarina of Time.
Yep it had cool mini bosses like gomess and the garo master but two giant centipedes for a boss after a long ass awesome temple in a tower in a haunted land? Lol it should have been a scary sinister boss. Pretty anti climatic.
Ah, the Stone Tower of Termina. Where the rules of gravity go on vacation, and falling down means falling through the atmosphere and into space. Thank you, Nintendo.
Twinmold is the worst boss in Majora's Mask aside from Gyorg, they both got uninteresting designs, boring and repetitive fights. Odolwa, Goht and all Majora's forms are much better than them, especially Odolwa, great design, fun and challenging boss fight, just makes up for the best boss in Majora's Mask, and one of the best boss in any Zelda game imo. Edit: Actually Majora's Incarnation isn't that good, it literally has only one attack, and it just runs and dances, yeah, this one is the worst, here is my ranking: 7- Majora's Incarnation 6- Twinmold 5- Majora's Mask 4- Gyorg 3- Majora's Wrath 2- Goht 1- Odolwa
@@TheArsenalMan125 It was rather linear and somewhat lifeless but I gotta admit that the Ancient Cistern and Sandship were the best dungeons in the game.
Augh...I friggan hated the earth temple. It was not interesting, switching between link and Medli was a pain, it had a lame boss, and getting through it felt like a chore.
+david boell I don't know how it made it in. Wind temple was a little more unique. Even though it still had you switching between Link and Maker (I think that show you spell it)
+billy bob Nah the Water Temple in Majora's Mask is a joke compared to OoT's Water Temple. OoT's Water Temple is the only time I've ever been forced to go out and get a strategy guide for a Legend of Zelda game (since internet really wasn't a common commodity back in the 90's like it is now.)
+Fred Harvey I think otherwise, the water temple is hard because of the key everyone has a hard time finding, raising the water level up and down is annoying but not difficult. Great Bay Temple is extremely confusing, the design is almost nonsense and those who want to catch all the fairies know how painful it is to run out of time.
+Fred Harvey Why? I never understood why people had trouble with that dungeon. Just go to the rooms you haven't gone to yet. Easy. You should try some of the dungeons in the Master Quest, I made it up to the spirit temple before I caved and looked up a guide online.
+billy bob Majora's Mask overall was much harder than Ocarina of Time. You pretty much couldn't beat the game without a substantial amount of heart pieces (which I don't usually try to get in Zelda on my first playthrough). You always had to keep track of the 3-day cycle, and the dungeons were hard! I loved the Great Bay Temple, but the Water Temple is nothing compared to it. Also some of those minigames just made you want to rip your own face off and eat it, like the octorok shooting game. It was such an amazing game though! :)
Most likely because of the nostalgia of it being practically impossible. Difficulty can be a huge factor in being liked, even if it wasn't liked while playing it. Haha! This is actually a good WatchMojo list. So stoked for Breath of the Wild!
+Isaiah Fierberg Anty Lol! Right? My top 10 are: 10)The Minish Cap 09)Oracle of Seasons 08)The Legend of Zelda 07)Skyward Sword 06)A Link Between Worlds 05)Twilight Princess 04)Majora's Mask 03)A Link to the Past 02)Ocarina of Time 01)The Wind Waker Could very well change after Breath of the Wild comes out. :D
I totally see Stone Tower Temple taking the no. 1 spot, even if I myself might not have put it quite that high...but I do get it. The Forest Temple is amazing! That musical theme! The whole dungeon is surprisingly creepy, yet serene...
Spirit Temple should've been on this list. I notice that this list seemed to have a lot of creepy dungeons on it. And why does Water Temple get honorable mentioned. It's so annoying and tedious.
A few of my personal faves- OoT- Forest Temple Water Temple Spirit Temple MM- Snowhead Temple Great Bay Temple WW- Earth Temple Wind Temple MC- Temple of Droplets Palace of Winds TP- Forest Temple Lakebed Temple Arbiter's Grounds Snowpeak Ruins
i always enjoy finishing Great Bay Temple (like clockwork now, since i know it so well). the changing of water flow, the swimming as a Zora, the music. and that boss. a superb dungeon.
The Arbitor's grounds also was almost cheat proof. Get the spinner, and save and exit. returning to use the spinner on the mittle floor would leave it so you couldn't access the dungeon key
Watchmojo, if you're making videos that solely surround the Zelda franchise, you don't have to recite the entire name when listing; just name the installment like #3: Arbiter's Grounds--Twilight Princess
My favorite dungeons/temples (not in any order): Every one from ocarina except water temple. FuK that Majora's mask wad fantastic except anything to do with water. Fuk water. Stone tower was badass. Twilight princess, probably just the twilight realm, temple of time one and goron mines. FuK lakebed. I just get the clawshot early and I'm on my merry-glitchin way. Sky temple Wind waker, all of them were fantastic. Phantom hourglass, had alot of cool puzzles. Great game. Skyward sword, loved the lanayru mining facility. Cool place. Sky keep was badass. FuK the swimmy water places. Ancient Cistern was okay. The silent realms were badass and scary. Breath of the wild? Lmao. What dungeons? Spirit tracks: eh. Got on the train. I took out the game. Zelda: it was dangerous to go alone. So i never left the cave. 😎
My personal faves Sky Keep (Skyward Sword) Arbiter's Grounds (Twilight Princess) Ancient Cistern (Skyward Sword) Shadow Temple (Ocarina of Time) Sand Ship (Skyward Sword) Temple of Time (Twilight Princess) Hyrule Castle (Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess) Forest Temple (Ocarina of Time) Stone Tower (Majora's Mask) City in the Sky (Twilight Princess) Tower of the Gods (Wind Waker)
Unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed the Dark Palace from A Link Between Worlds. Something about a dungeon with literal darkness as the theme, having to use it to see certain walls platforms and enemies, and an eerie theme on top of it all makes it somewhat enjoyable.
Yea I loved it, instead of lighting the way to solve puzzles at times you use the darkness to your advantage to solve puzzles, plus the music was creepy as hell
Watch Mojo please make up your mind do you like the water dungeon or do you hate it. So many of your videos are criticizing it when it's not even that bad or hard. Oh yeah the water dungeon is totally harder than Through the Fire and Flames on expert mode. And you guys have the nerve to put on honorable mentions! Make up your mind!
Honestly, a part of me wants to say Inside the Deku Tree, because of its music, and the memories. Somehow child me, got stuck on this dungeon, despite how easy it is.
+Nicholas Estela i used to hate it, but now i don't mind it as much... i find the water temple in Twilight Princess far more confusing... the boss is a fricken joke though... like srsly?
