Samw goes for me and the sets based on episodes 1-3. I don't care about these films, even if I don't think they're completely horrible. I just think they're the least interesting out of all the films. But I absolutely love the Lego sets based on them. Especially the MTT, the AT-TE or the Republic Gunship.

I know but it's just a bit too short for me. Like I would have loved it if LEGO had included being able to recreate Kylo's introduction back in TFA which is #2 for me out of the Sequel Trilogy. #1 is TROS mainly because of SLKR (Supreme Leader Kylo Ren). TLJ was ok but it stays at #3 for me mainly because I have yet so see the entire film.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a decent wave of TFA sets in 2025 for TFA's 10th anniversary. Especially since by then lots of people will have grown up with the sequel trilogy and be interested in new sequel sets

I have the Gorilla walker, I actually really like it, I also have the Resistance Bomber and of the 2 sequel sets I own, the walker is the one I like better.

@@laurids796 I agree that everyone should be able to buy a millennium falcon, but a new one shouldn’t be released every year. Between 2015 and 2019 there were 3 regular falcons, the UCS falcon, and a ton of tie fighters and x wings. That was a very stale 5 years.

@@tanner5809 There was ONE playscale sequel tie fighter, ONE since its a different design than OT tie fighters, with its black design with a red ring, I dont think it harmed anything else

I'd love to see one based on Luke vs. Kylo Ren on Crait. Technically it wasn't a duel I guess but Force projection Luke would be a sweet figure and the red and white color scheme would make a cool display

Yeah surprised it didn't make the top 10 here, I only have 2 sequel sets, the At-M6 and the bomber, and I much prefer the At-M6 - the bomber has lots of cool play features, but I'm just displaying it, and the walker just looks great on the shelf.

It's not sensible because it's an incredibly slow-moving, defenseless vehicle that can be easily taken out by a single fighter *and* that needs to be directly over its target to do anything. Not to mention blowing one up when they're in formation causes a chain detonation that will blow up the entire group lmao. And in some universes, you might just have to write off all those negatives as limitations of the technology, but we've had Y-wings since 1977 and they were even featured prevalently in 2015's The Force Awakens, which takes place just weeks (days?) before Last Jedi

If you dont know why people say it's not sensible I'll be happy to explain. 1. It has 4 front, fixed blaster cannons that are useless, especially the ones on the "wings" since paralax won't allow you to shoot them accurately without using a targeting computer. Laser cannons on starfighters are used mainly for dogfighting, you cannot dogfight in that brick. It can serve as anti-capitalship weapon only when joined with ion cannons, which can manage to punch through shields. This starship doesn't have ion cannons. 2. Those ships are so absurdly massive (while being slow) that you can target them with even the heaviest of turbolasers. No starship shields can take an anti-capitalship grade weapon. A half blind heavy turbolaser operator would be able to hit them easily with the turbolaser set to "heaviest damage, slowest projectile speed, lowest accuracy" 3. They fly so extremely slow that the target can turn around and just fly away. And we know from New Hope that Star Destroyers have very good sublight speed. There were people who measured their speed based on movie time and Mandator IV size but I don't remember the numbers. It was very slow. 4. They are so frail that they cannot survive a bombing run under perfect conditions. Which means- their target is completely defenseless and still and there's only one capital ship worth of defensive fighter screen while you have at least 8 bombers with their escort. Not to mention you have your gunners on every bomber. And I'm talking about being overwhelmed by tie fighter fire, not the collission. 5. They make little sense crew-wise. Since when a small military organisation can spare ~4-5 crewmembers on one bomber? The reason why rebels didn't use ARC-170s was because they couldn't affort puting 2 pilots and a gunner in one starship. 6. We don't know the cost of the ship but from the sheer size it looks to be in a 300k, maybe 400k credit range. An used y-wing is around 65k credits. We don't know an exact cost of 1 proton bomb but it was around 250 credits in one SW role playing game. So just to load one bomber you need to spend 250k credits. The Resistance lost in that 1 attack about 5 milion credits. Just the fact that a small organization could get their hold on ~8000 proton bombs despite New Republic's demilitarization is suprising anyway. You can do your own math how many y-wings you can buy and arm with 5 milion credits. 7. Why would you ever put 1000 proton bombs on 1 ship. For what reason, what target requires such bombing? Planetary shield? No, it can take damage from a star destroyer, 1000 proton bombs is nothing compared to what a star destroyer can dish out in minutes. Some bombs wont even connect with the target and explode "mid air" which I believe is what we see in a movie. Why not put long range proton torpedoes and concussion missiles and make them a medium/long range artillery units? Boom, 5 ion torpedoes, target's shields are totally depleted. Boom, 5 proton torpedoes aimed at the bridge, enemy goes down. Boom- a swarm of 12 FAF concussion missiles are shot towards an incoming fighter wing, let the gunners take them down while they try to evade the missiles. It's really simple to design something better. 8. Last point is the best one. The whole plan to blow up the Mandator IV (one of the worst ships in SW on their own) is idiotic. If your plan requires dropping 1000 proton bombs on the enemy target then you're demoted, laughed at and either executed or moping the toilets. So the main problem are those 2 guns on the Mandator IV, right? Send a wing of X or Y-wings under it's shields (skimming the surface style) and blow the cannons up. Hell, aim a torpedo inside the cannon, the target is huge as hell. It worked in the shitty cartoon against the Subjugator-class dreadnought a few y-wings disabled those big ass ion cannons. Why people care? Why fans care about the franchise they are fans of, gee, I wonder? Because SW franchise created an SW universe, with it's own rules. Any exception from those rules will obviously be questioned mate. We know how bombers in the universe look, both from movies and material outside movies. Death star laser is cool, let's put it on a tie fighter. Sounds more absurd than cool? There you go, that's the problem people are having. Stuff just doesn't make sense within the rules established in the universe.
