I agree. Except I personally really despise the broodals, I would've just preferred the koopalings as mini bosses, and on the dark side boss rush. The broodals were so random and unexpected. But that's just my opinion. But the story in Odyssey is better and makes more sense since Bowser actually wants to marry Peach rather than just kidnapping her for no reason like in most Mario games.

Yeah the only thing I dont like is it being way too easy and short.

@@MoonCobalt Odyssey is by far the shortest and easiest Mario game. I mean the main story. The first time i played the game i completed the main game in like 3 days.

It would be awesome to have updated textures, a new camera system and the great controls from Odyssey (while maintaining the original move set). Also maybe enemies could be reworked to be a little bit more challenging? Goombas especially are weak in 64

To be fair they do have very overpowered jumping and floating abilities in the game that make a lot of the platforming objectively easier

Pam Hunstrom Mario odyssey is super repetitive, easy, and the story is just so weak- even for a Mario game. The core mechanics just aren’t that great, you literally capture an enemy once just to reach a point the devs intended you to use the capture for and that’s it. No capture is useful and is just there for a split second. And the environments are just so forgettable, dull, small and bland. And the whole point of the game is literally find moons, it’s just a BOTW find Korok but for the main quest. The only thing I actually enjoyed from this game is the costumes and the movement mechanics. Wish they could incorporate Mario throwing Cappy to bounce on it in more games, but without all that capture nonsense. Bosses also suck and are probably the most forgettable and easiest, all with that “three hit to kill” ideal.

I love SMG2 but the power-ups really are hit and miss, and some of them straight up cripple you rather than actually make you powerful. The spring power-up is an easy contender for one of the worst Mario power-ups of all time.

Nah i prefer Galaxy 1, Galaxy 2 is better at mechanics and powerups but ain t as deep and polished on the story as Galaxy 1, but it shurely did some things way better than Galaxy 1
