I thoroughly enjoy this channel. Not because I ever owned any of these toys, nor did I know anyone who did, but because I find the background stories fascinating. I have one friend who collected the Comics, but he was heavily into Judge Dredd and Star Trek. I am a collector of 1960s toys, so it is always grand to see other peoples' passions on display. Great work. Thank you.

Great list! Very fair assessment and lots of points I completely agree with! Poor Ant-Man, he deserves a better representation in the Legends line for sure! Maybe next years Wasp gives us some hope.

those Cap and Iron man figures are nice. Definately definitive versions of the characters from when I was a kid.

I'm proud to say that I have most of these figures making up my personal Avengers collection. I haven't yet picked up Hawkeye and the Hulk I use is the two-pack with Wolverine, but otherwise it's spot on to the list.

Great team of top ten. I definitely put the Black Widow, 20 anniversary Capt. Am and Thor on my list. This video makes me want to an Avengers team for my toy room, but for now, seeing your list will do.

A great list, Tony, enjoyed your video and I’m glad to have almost all of this figures. In my opinion though, -although- I also really enjoy that Spidey and that generous-head-providing Black Widow, I think their Torso articulation lacks range. It’s almost incredible to have G.I. Joe figures from the same company who can do full splits (even if I never pose figures in the Van Damme pose nor doing ballet…) and better crunch forward. Valaverse, Jada and any other company which provides figures with ball Diaphragm and ball waist are beating ML’s Spider Man’s and Black Widow’s articulation. Great for those companies and their figures, great for us. But a shame that the most agile characters from Marvel have less range in their Hasbro iterations. And for no justifiable reason.

Great video Tony. No one can effectively argue with any of your selections. Each choice is a stalwart character on the team, thus having a good representation in action figure form is a must. Looking back on your list I find it disappointing that Hasbro ML have yet to produce a comic based Falcon from the 70's with Redwing. The character had one of the coolest costumes in comics back then.

Interesting choice with The Hulk. I was curious what you'd go with. I was never a big Avengers fan, aside from Cap...I do like that 20th anniversary Cap though - the blues are comic accurate for sure. Fun episode man. -Dustin

Great list, I have 7/10. My Hulk is the recent Diamond Select,my Hawkeye is the older version with the darker purple colour scheme and my Spiderman is the retro carded 90s animation style. Dr Strange,Black Widow and the 20th Anniversary Cap are 3 of the best Marvel Legends of all time regardless of being Avengers.

Really good video. I agree with you to 90%. I'd change your Hulk to the 2-pack with Wolverine. Funny enough, since I have 8 of these on the list, 20 minutes ago I decided to buy this Black Widow instead of Hawkeye (I save him to next month). So I did a buy it now on eBay. Slowly completing my Avengers collection.

I'm not an ML collector but I wanted to watch this to find out which is the best Hawkeye ML figure. The town I live/work in is canonically Hawkeye's home town from the comics so I wanted a figure of him to display at work.

Nice list! I'm a huge fan of the grey 90s Black Widow figure with the jetpack. (I think she was a Walmart exclusive...?) She also has those fantastic wrist gun accessories!

Great picks. For my money, the best Hulk is the 80th anniversary two-pack Hulk, and the best Ultron is the Ursa Major BAF version.

I have all of these except Falcon ang Hulk. I'll patiently wait for the more classic Falcon look with deep V neck and shorter wings. My Hulk is the 2pack Hulk that came with Wolverine.

Great list, Tony! It really just goes to show that Hasbro can produce good, or even great, figures when the suits in the boardrooms and the bean counters actually allow them to. My dream Avengers figure from them would be a slightest retooled 80th Anniversary Thor updated with pinless arms and legs, a soft goods cloth cape, clip on lightning accessories, 2 headsculpts (a stoic & an angry one), and both a regular and spinning Mjolnir accessory.

I have an Avengers Team of 75 different Avengers on Earth 616. Okay, 5 are different Hank Pym, 2 different Carol Danvers, 2 different Scott Lang. Also 9 Customs, and 3 Fudges. So it's not perfect. It has gotten a little better as I got Comics versions of Sersi and Moondragon this year. Soon will have Justice.

Agree on bascially the entire list! I do like the darker color on the older Cap just for me but recognize the new one is better in many ways. Great list!

Excellent list. I agree with most of it would just replace Falcon with the new Vision, though perhaps Vision wasn't out yet when you made this video. I would also swap out your Hulk for the 80th Marvel Anniversary Hulk, and Amazing Fantasy Spiderman for the Renew Your Vows Spiderman (though admittedly I go back and forth on these two as I love them both along with the Amazing Friends Spiderman). Thor would be higher on my list if the cape was lighter and more pliable, and if the head could actually rotate. My order would be: 1. Spiderman 2. Black Widow 3. Captain America 4. Hulk 5. Iron Man 6. Black Panther 7. Thor 8. Dr Strange 9. Vision 10. Hawkeye

The recent Target Excusive Ant-Man is genuinely just as good as a few of the earlier entrants to this chart, I think. So, SO much better than that retro-carded repaint. Probably a pain in the arse to get down there though, I'm sure... It was in general outside the US - They didn't even sell it on the UK pulse site like they have previous exclusives, so ended up paying through the nose. Admittedly shit accessory-wise, though, you just get a couple extra hands.

This is almost exactly the same as my list. I have to go with the Hulk from the Wolverine two pack, however. A lighter shade of green and a more "classic" head sculpt. You can't go wrong with any of these choices, though.

Yeah, I mean That Captain America and Black Widow are a tie for me. Posing and doing stuff with both of them is non stop fun. But this year Widow just dominates all the legends.

Great video. I would swap your SDCC 90's hulk for the 80 years Hulk from the Wolverine 1st appearance 2 pack. It has a more vibrant green color and a much more classic head sculpt. I would also veto your Amazing Fantasy Spider-Man. He's a great figure, but as you noted, this depiction is from when he was a teenager, and that was way before he was ever an active Avenger in the comics. I might suggest the Renew Your Vows Spider-Man, but as with Wolverine, I don't really see him as a true Avenger. Technically, I feel the same way about Doctor Strange as well. Being a memebr of the Avengers is somehow less special if practically every single Marvel hero is on the roster. The MCU has kind of blurred those lines irreparably, though. I would insert any one of several classic Avengers in your Spidey slot, or possibly Dr. Strange. Hercules from the retro card line, the revised Tigra from the West Coast Avengers 5 pack, or the Black Knight. Honorable mentions Jocasta, Mocking Bird, Hank Pym, and Wonderman from the Puff Adder Wave.

🤔 Glad you sorted the wheat from chaff. When toy biz started this line it was quality jollity staggered releases. Hasblo just crap out same bucks and takes a Talker decade to complete even basic teams. By then you have moved house and sold half the bastards out of frustration or boredom.
