@@michaelhawkins7389True but i was referring more or less about other entries. There is no doubt that Italian job is iconic and not surprising to top a list.
All things considered, my number one favorite listed here is probably Hannah and Her Sisters (1986) which won him an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Other movies listed here I also liked him in so far includes Batman Begins (2005), The Prestige (2006), The Dark Knight (2008), The Dark Knight Rises (2012) and Interstellar (2014). A few other good movies you might have missed include The Ipcress File (1965), The Italian Job (1969), Alfie (1966), Kidnapped (1971), The Quiet American (2002) and Inception (2010).
Very very great epic list I like it a lot very very great job he is one of the very best actor ever and the dark knight movies are some of the very best movies ever 😊❤
@@andyrobinson2653 That is a bit of a generalization. Not all Americans. This New Yorker loves _The Ipcress File_ but then I'm a died in the wool Anglophile and many of my personal favorites are English films (many of them so obscure that even most English folk would not recognize them). By the way, _Get Carter_ is on this _"American"_ list.
I'm trying to find a movie from a second part of 2000's (I believe) about a gangster with OCD who went against his boss's orders and protected a widow. His boss which I believe was portrayed by Michael Caine, is a sadistic predator and uses some kind of muscle relaxants to immobilise his victims and beats them horribly. If anyone recognises what movie it is, I'd love to hear from you.
His best movie was The Eagle has Landed..... about the failed assassination attempt on British PM Winston Churchill .... and how that single moment of hesitation almost changed World War Two's destiny....
The Dark Knight Trilogy Inception Kingsman: The Secret Service Interstellar Dressed To Kill The Prestige The Muppet Christmas Carol The Cider House Rules Tenet Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
*The Ipcress File* (1965)!!! *Get Carter* (1971) *The Italian Job* (1969) *The Man Who Would Be King* (1975) *Ashanti* (1979) *Harry Brown* (2010) ...actually, sorry communiTV but your list sucks! EDIT - Also films like 'Children of Men' and 'interstellar', he played a minor role really. Still a great performance but i wouldn't think of them as "Michael Caine films" per say.
"... go on a trip to a lonely island ..." GTF out of here. What island in the Hindu Kush? Read the book, "The Man Who Would Be King" a short story combined with "Without the Benefit of Clergy" by Rudyard Kipling. Americans, they know less than half of FA. Jack, the Japan Alps Brit.
