Thanks for giving me hope that mods for my corolla exist. A great channel that's short, informative and sweet. I'd only ask for installation of the S body kit, minus the spoiler.
you are a lifesaver my guy🤞🏽 i’ve been looking into 2013 corollas , and ngl i’m kind of a cosmetic mod fiend , but there were literally no videos on Corolla builds so it was hard to get a good idea on if this is a car for me
Well I’m glad the video gave you some good ideas! And if you are looking for more visual mods, look at more of my videos. I have plenty of videos of me sharing all my mods and how I have done them!
Heck no, I'm looking for performance mods. My 2016 has like 75,000 miles. Looks brand new. All stock. I want anything I can add other than a turbo. I just want about 50 to 75 more horses..
One mod you didn’t include is the sliding armrest . It came stock on the XRS models , it’s an easy mod and in my opinion adds comfort to your ride. If your commuting 2 hours a day you’ll want the sliding armrest !
@@davidkosiba624 does urs have a 2nd storage compartment in addition to the slide? If it just slides it’s not the same. The matrix came with one that just slides . A lot of people swap them because it’s more common and the part is interchangeable
@@BrandonStellmach they’re at least a mod! anything you can change is a mod! i’d go further and say they can be upgrades. you’re correct about rotating mass but wheels are also unsprung weight which too much of, reduces handling. lowering it, has the inverse effect and makes it more nimble! rims & tires are ALWAYS modifications but if they are lighter and/or stronger, they are definitely upgrades. Width and height also make differences but this comment is already too long🤣
hey man, definitely looking forward to this channel! i really love the content, consider me as your new subscriber and i liked the video too! i have a corolla s 2010 that i find to be my daily driver, i may be still young so it doesn't have much to it but on the inside, i got couple things like a phone holder, interior lower led lights that can change to pretty much any color and i detail it all the time, paint pretty much looks new from the dealership!
Thanks for the support!! And that’s awesome that you have a corolla S! But we all started some where, that’s what I first started doing to my cars were small light mods and accessories. And a nice detail makes such a big difference in your car! But I hope I give you good ideas for your corolla!
Some good mods but you just need to clean it up and bring it home. 1. Get better tires, although you are in Florida where there are no mountains and fun roads so they might be okay. 2. You are missing the trim on your center dash. 3. The wheels look nice, nice design. How much do they weigh? And I agree, wheels and tires are a mod. 4. I have the TWM shifter in my 2009 Corolla S Turbo and I love it too. It's the same design as yours. A little tip to make it easier next time. Leave the shifter cage in the car, no need to take it out and it's like having an extra set of hands to hold it still. 5. Leather wrap your steering wheels or get one from the S/XRS as they came leather wrapped and it's so much nicer than the rubber steering wheel. 6. Coilovers are a great choice, I'm on BC coilovers and love them. 7. The stereo looks nice. What brand is it? Is it just one of those cheaper Chinese stereos? 8. Love the Borla exhaust! I had that too but you need to swap out the rear bumper for an S bumper after cutting it. That just looks tacky. Check out my video of my mods. I did one a short time ago. I also just did a rear drum to disc brake swap and a Ceika BBK on the front. Keep up the good work. I love to see Corollas getting some love.
Yeah I agree Florida is a flat boring state with no fun roads. And for the weight of the wheels, they were about the same weight as the 15 steel wheels with hub caps, about 30 something a wheel! But this was pretty much a budget build for me. I have never modified a car this much before until this one. So learning what to spend extra money on. And where I can cut corners. And yes the radio is a cheap Chinese radio l, but have no complaints. Works great and I have Apple CarPlay! And I have seen your video. You have given me many extra ideas of what to do and add! Thanks for the tips! 👍
I actually used hyper dip, which is plastidip just nicer and glossier! I did not take them off, I painted them on the car. Here is the link to my video of me doing this! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SqiSc7QYdQs.html
Could you make a video to adjust LED headlights? I installed them and they seem to blind everyone. I managed to adjust the left side, but the right side (battery side) is hardly accessible because of the air valve. Thank you!!
next time you do a cut out for your exhaust, please use a hole saw and mark it off properly. To save it now you just need to go find your self a type S bumper from an auto wrecker.
Almost all the things I showed in this video I have made a video of installing them on my car! Here is the link to the video, i hope this helps! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NPUPH0mS4_Q.html
Hello friend, I follow your channel closely. I own a 2010 Toyota Corolla vehicle and I follow your example. Is there any imbalance in the axle system due to the suspension change you made on your vehicle? I lowered the suspension level of my vehicle and my vehicle's axle system is vibrating.
Thank you for watching the videos! But I have not had any issues since I have lowered my car. I would double check that everything is tightened down good! And get an alignment to make sure everything is good!
Did your audio sound a little different or less powerful after you got the stereo head unit? I feel like my music isn’t as loud as it used to be when I used an aux chord as to how it is now with the stereo unit.
I thought the audio sounded much better than the old radio I had, one thing you might need to turn on it something called “loudness”. I believe it somewhere in the amplifier settings on the radio. It will definitely make it much louder!
I love all the videos going to definitely try and do some mods on my corolla 2010! Im just curious, will you add power windows? But keep the rolling windows for nostalgia. I know there Nu relic power windows do that for old american relic cars, but im not sure if it will fit Japanese cars that are 2000+? But curious if you ever try doing!
Thank you! I’m glad you like the windows! And I have been in the process of trying to source out parts to convert them to power windows! But it’s either to expensive or I can’t find anything local for my car!
Hey Brandon I recently got my 2013 Corrolla stuck in a ditch. Bad weather. Japan models come with tow locations that are stored next to your jack thatscrew in locations. American models don't. I've seen people install a small tow strap On front bumper. I'd love to do this to mine. I live in KC winter here can get a little crazy. Idea for a new mod vid. The strap looks cool I think and are a necessity
Damn that sucks to hear that. But hope everything is all good now! And I will look into it, because I know some times when people install them they are just for looks and not actually installed to a structural part of the car!
Right now I’m just using some cheap LED bulbs I bought off Amazon, but I plan on doing a projector swap on my headlights in the future. So right now I don’t have any good recommendation at the moment. Because I don’t like to recommend product until I test them!
@@BrandonStellmach Now THAT I'm looking forward to, because I'm tempted to do the same VS buying the projector headlights that don't even have projector hi beams (And have gross DRL LEDs )
@@ProjectBlackweather this is exactly why I want to make my own, I hate the aftermarket ones with all the halos and DRL lights they put in it. And everyone says they are horrible quality too!
I have a 2010 corolla s and i’m looking to upgrade my sound system since one of the speakers went out. for the radio did you have to do any custom wiring or is it all plug in play? also are you using the stock speakers?
I picked up a 09-base model on Black Friday. Wish it was a manual, but needed a second vehicle. I plan to do some things to mine since I am using it as a daily now. I did find a turbo kit and am thinking of swapping one in down the road. Can you post a link for the wheels and tire, really want to purchase them during the summer.
I don’t have a link to them. But these are the wheels and tires I bought. niche m117 Misano 18x8.5 with Nankang 225 40 18. You should be able to find them on fitment industries. And I was really in search for a corolla S with a manual. And those are even harder to find. So as soon as I saw this one I had to buy it!
It was always black. But I recently just wrapped them in carbon if your interested in that. Here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-E4EOTAtakaI.html
Honestly the radio isn’t the best option for the money I highly recommend the boss elite or alpine with Apple CarPlay better software comes with 2 year warranty and only 200$ with backup cam the 100$ Amazon android radio is good if that’s your only option but since you most likely will use the radio everyday it just makes sense to spend the extra 50-100 depending on the model / features and screen size you want
I can bet the alpine or boss will last much longer then these android radios! But what I like about these radios they give a much nicer look and they look built into the car rather then having to buy a dash kit and not look as nice!
Yes when I start making some more money from RU-vid I definitely will be doing a turbo! And also probably in the next month or so I will be doing a tune on the corolla!
If I had 2 instrument clusters one will be a test and the other would be the oem, would I need to reprogram it if I swapped it?, reason being I wanna swap the bulbs to led's in the cluster panel, but I don't want to risk using my own so I'm going to buy a second used one to see if I am able to solder the led's together
The problem would be that the other odometer would need to be reprogrammed with how many miles you have on the car. Otherwise they won’t match. Unless you can find an odometer close to the same miles.
Those corollas are fairly new. There isn’t much after market stuff for them yet. Also I don’t own one so it’s hard to make videos on a car I don’t have!
Here is a link to the install video of the spoiler I did a while ago. And the link is in the description! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9e-izKVA4Yk.html
Here is a link to the wheels: www.fitmentindustries.com/buy-wheel-offset/M117188080+40/niche-misano-18x8-40?vehicle_type=Car&year=2009&make=Toyota&model=Corolla&trim=Base&suspension=Stock
I’m not sure I understand the question? Are you talking about TPMS sensors for the tire pressure? If so you can always just reuse them when you go to a new wheel. The only thing I would say is that the batteries in the sensors only last for about 10-12 years. And it’s best to replace them when you get new wheels or tires. Otherwise they might go bad and you will have to take the tire off the wheel and replace it again!
Most of those mods are just rice and do nothing for power output. I don't understand why so many people want to make their car look fast when it does the 0-60 in 11 seconds... Make it fast first, then make the looks match the performance.
Totally agree! I would say I love ricing my car out! 😂 But if your interested in some performance mods here is my video of my top 5 performance mods for a corolla! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TGY6GUxgRxU.html
@@BrandonStellmach Think about this, what’s the purpose behind the use of fog lights? It’s to see better in the fog. If extra “white” light were the answer, then your high beams would suffice. Try this experiment the next time you’re in fog: put your high beams on and then off. Next, turn your yellow fog lights on and off. Which allowed you greater visibility? Your supplemental driving lights are useful really only on windy curvy roads, or when cornering. To use them all the time poses a greater risk of blinding your oncoming fellow motorists, and those whom you’re following. Please, use all your lights appropriately. I’ve driven a big truck for over 30 years, and other than people being far more distracted than ever before, by the phones they’re blinding me at an ever increasing and annoying rate. Please, be a part of the solution, not add to the problem. Thank you
@@mccainjay that’s a really good explanation of this! And I agree I hate when people are blinding me with their lights because they have high beams on or the headlights are not leveled properly.
I like the mods you did. That being said, your ''faux-gangsta'' hand and arm movements look a bit spastic. Just be yourself bro'. We're white and we're proud !!!!
@@BrandonStellmach the way I did it, just cutting the stock muffler right off, without the hole there for the exhaust you can’t even tell. Though, you cut yours, so I may go with something more professional
@@svndwich977 yeah that is a problem, now I have a cutout for the exhaust I would need to at least get a nice tip welded onto an extension so it looks nicer! But thanks for the info!
