The funny thing is that most of these were bargain bin fodder. I remember Circus World had a bin full of Grind Stormers. Even years later, Gamestop was selling them for $2.99 each and that was when I picked one up. Elemental Master was another one that used to regularly show up in places like Gamestop during the PS2 era. Trouble Shooter seemed to be perpetually at Toys R Us for the then second tier game price of $29.99. They still had that one available until they removed the Genesis games entirely during the Playstation era. Sparkster, and Aero the Acrobat 2 used to be regulars in WalMart bargain bins during the final days of the Genesis. I got my copy of Crusader of Centy for $5 on a closeout.

Crusader of Centy, a game stumbled upon at a friend's house. He didn't even care for it. But I fell in love with it and it's such a gem. You should strive to complete it. It's worth it

I paid 100 bucks for Musha back in the day and I'm glad I kept it since it has inflated so much.

Ive been buying bucket-list Genesis games off ebay lately before they become permanently too expensive. I just got Rolling Thunder 2 and 3, Shadow Dancer (shinobi 2), and Crue Ball with the Motley Crew soundtrack in 16-bit🤘🙂. I have around 60 Genesis games. Im not trying to get them all but theres still 5 or 6 more games i want to get before moving on to another retro console for bucket-list games. Gotta do these things in stages now a days😅

Areo the Acrobat 2 was available for order from Limited run several months ago for roughly $60. Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel was also re-released through Limited Run for around the same price

The Punisher Game just got announced to be in a new Capcom game collection in the recent Nintendo Switch! Bad timing for this video.

I bought MUSHA back in the day. Still have its box too. I kept all my games in their boxes because they just looked better on the shelve that way.

The Punisher was a pretty good Genesis game, but the arcade game was a lot better.

Crusader of Centy is called Soliel in PAL territories and I really loved it when I was a kid.

From your list, I own The Punisher and Crusader of Centy. For Punisher, it's cart only for me since the price is rediculously high and I really just wanted a physical copy of that game for my collection as both a Punisher and Beat-em-up fan. For Crusader of Centy, I own the Japanese version complete in box called Ragnacenty. I got the import because the price is night and day in comparison to the US version. While I do not understand Japanese, I have played through several Japanese RPGs by triggering events in the towns to open up quests.

The most expensive is Tetris. I saw that game in person in 2010 in Nakano in Japan. Insane how rare it is

You calling the first few games as a "shooter" kept throwing me off. I've always heard/referred to them as Shmups or bullet hell. Shooter works I guess lol. I'm not at all trying to tell YOU how to categorize games however, just my 2cents. Enjoyed the video.

I used to own Musha and Phantasy Star 4 back in the day. Why oh why did I sell or trade them in? It really hurts now. At least I still have my OG sega genesis, sega nomad, sega master system converter, sega game gear, Sonic games and Phantasy Star 1, 2, and 3 to hold onto.

Sparkster Genesis was just Re-released along side Sparkster SNES and Rocket Knight Adventures on Switch and Steam in the Rocket Knight Re Sparked Collection!

I can't play MUSHA because of the music. It's way too hectic and noisy. I don't enjoy it at all and I listen to Mega Drive music almost every day. Remixes of famous pop songs, new tunes, almost every game in the library is worth listening to. I don't expect I'll ever stop being surprised by the quality and range of music on offer for the Sega Mega Drive. The SNES on the other hand is not easy to make music for. You can make a very low quality sort of string instrument or something, if you reduce the instrument count right down to get more complexity or play the tune in a menu but it's always going to sound cluncky and dull. I can't bring myself to even listen to the Universal Soldier soundtrack on SNES. So if you say "in the right hands" that Genesis music _"can"_ be good you suggest, I don't know, other contemporary machines were comparatively _easy_ to write more better music for like for instance the SNES, then point to Chrono Trigger. Again. But ignore the fact that SNES music rarely stays in tune, giving almost every game a vaguely to pretty much very comic tone. So when you say it's hard to make good Genesis music, you mean compared to a professional musician with a recording studio and full set of session musicians. I have to assume.

All these games are 🗑️! 😅 I wouldn't buy any of these for 5$ my first game system was an original NES. Shoot I had a Genesis to but I wouldn't care to own any of these even then 😂 🤷
