True Story: Mulan isn't royalty by blood or Marriage. It was her act of courage in saving China that earned her a spot on the Disney Princess Roster. Disney had to add that possible qualification in order to give her the title of "Disney Princess".
Hey kid Me that’s not an official requirement. It doesn’t hurt anything to be successful. Look up videos on RU-vid about the qualifications of being a “Disney Princess”. You’ll learn something.
Actually, Esmeralda WAS part of the Disney Princess franchise for a short amount of time. She got removed because many people think her film is too dark.
Aren't we gonna ignore the fact that Anna was the one that saved Arendell because if Anna never destroyed the dam in the enchanted forest, the spirits would never unfreeze Elsa, which would then lead to Elsa saving Arendell from being flooded. So, if it wasn't for Anna, Arendell would've been screwed.
Anna has already her place in the list with Frozen 1. Elsa did figure out what needed to be done at the cost of her own life nearly and ultimately stopped the flood so I think she can be mentioned there without Anna, we know what she did in the film anyway.
She saved Flynn the whole movie. But he saved her once by cutting her hair. Princess P was a great wing girl and trusted herself to save the day. Merida wasnt about to marry those dorks
I’m glad Cinderella 3 a twist in time at least got an honourable mention. It’s definitely one of the better straight to DVD Disney sequels and love how Anastasia turned good. Especially after seeing her slowly change in the second movie dreams come true! That was probably the best part of it.
Jasmine distracting Jafar deserves more than an honorable mention. You can't imagine the guts it took her to kiss that creep just to help her lover. And without vomiting! My ranking of the most bravest princesses would be: 1. Mulan 2. Jasmine 3. Merida 4. Pocahontas 5. Belle 6. Moana 7. Anna 8. Tiana 9. Rapunzel 10. Ariel
Don't get me wrong, Elsa stopping the flood was just as important and she even looked awesome while doing so, but you should've also mentioned Anna getting the rock giants to destroy the dam in the first place, which is one of the reasons I value both of them equally rather than choose one or the other like most people do! Just saying.
Merida vying for her own hand (taking her accent) is something that can uniquely happen in a movie. That's so senseless and insanely brave simultaneously.
Honestly... I think Mulan saving her father was more brave than her "saving China" considering it was very likely she would've been killed either in war or by being discovered rather than her actions later in the movie where she was technically a trained soldier already and in the end tbh it was team work but ok 🤷
Her father was already safe after she got spared by Shang. She could've just returned home by that point since she was no longer a soldier. Hence, it was even braver for her to save the people outside of her own family.
These Princesses are the role models of children all around the world! They teach children about bravery or courage in a fun and creative way!💕 Always love Disney-themed videos! Thanks Ms Mojo!
I’m so glad Mulan made it to number 1 on this list! It’s honestly such a brilliant movie after rewatching it recently when the live-action was supposed to come out on my birthday March 27th. Mushu is my fav character in it too. Especially when he looks similar to Batman! So awesome!
Number 1 should have been "Anna destroys the dam." She was willing to destroy her whole kingdom to free the forest. And add the fact that she pulled herself together and did such a brave thing AFTER her sister and friend "died". And you got yourself one heroic Queen.
I'm bummed it didn't make it, it's as heroic as Mulan and Moana. I think maybe it didn't come in because Anna already has a high attitude, if you put those actions of Anna together, she would certainly win the first place.
I love Tiana, she is the definition of a strong Black woman that made Disney SO much better. Tiana and Pocahontas would be the first Disney princesses I'd show my kids.
For number 5 I thought that it should be anna who decided to sacrifice the town she loves to do the right thing. That in my opinion was braver than creating an ice wall to stop the water
I feel like _both_ of them should have been mentioned at 5. Don't forget Elsa sacrificed herself to get the truth. That's pretty heroic too. But at the end of the day, neither of the sisters would have succeeded without the other. It was a team effort.
I don't think even fifth, it's an attitude like Mulan and Moana (save everyone) should at least be in the top 3, Anna's other attitude would be fourth.
This is true. But... What if breaking the dam had no effect at all on Elsa getting thawed and Arendelle ended up being flooded anyway? As far as Anna was concerned Arendelle was getting flooded that same moment when Elsa saved the kingdom.
Vetarlit Torf ur what I’f it was like they killed her father so she went on a journey to find them and finds love on the way only to discover the man/women she fell in love with was the child of her dads killer so she decided to have mercy
Everyone always only remembers from old Disney princess movies is having the prince saving the princess, but to be honest they have both the guy and girl saving each other during the movie and a lot of those movies have the princess doing all the saving, why do people still think that the older princesses are bad influence on children? (Older princesses a.k.a Disney renaissance princesses)
That's right. It wasn't the Prince who saved the original Cinderella. It was her friendship with the mice that motivated them to get to free her and it was her idea to get the dog to scare off the cat. So Cindy actually contributed to saving herself.
I agree, I grew up with older princesses and they have been a great influence for me (mostly Aurora, and not because of the sleeping thing jajajja but because her kindness, sweetness and sense of responsability with her kingdom)
@@Wiiguy1606 And it's not like Cinderella wanted to look pretty to find a cute husband, as her haters imply. Her reason for wanting to go to the ball was to escape from being a prisoner in her own home, and obviously she couldn't have gone to a ball in the rags she wore. Also for the Belle haters, no, her falling in love with Beast was not Stockholm syndrome. Notice how she only started developing feelings for him after he literally saved her life and he started changing and being a better friend to her.
Nefeli Moustakas SPOILERS! Mulan’s action in the sequel was almost MORE HEROIC. She thought the man she loved was dead, & she was willing to fulfill the marriage requirement HERSELF, so the 3 princesses could marry who they loved & the alliance could still stand.
Just saying, Anna sacrificed her kingdom for the greater good because it was the right thing while thinking her sister was dead and making a bunch of giants destroy the dam. She deserves more attention than Elsa, although Elsa did look awesome while doing it she just swooped in the last minute and got all the credit, and come on, is it really that incredible if that's not even dangerous for her?
No, because were it not for Elsa wanting to find out the truth, Anna wouldn't have known that their grandfather was the cause of the spirits being mad. Also, since the 'fifth spirit' was a bridge between the spirits and the normal realm, Elsa AND Anna were both responsible. But Elsa was the one that heard the voice and followed it to its conclusion. :)
@@eternasapphiremoon81 still Anna wanted to do what was right. no one told her what to do. Elsa only told her what really happened and what was to be done but Anna could have chosen to back off and do nothing. but she still took to risk to kill everyone in arendelle to save those people who were inocent and got trapped there because of her family actions. she did it because she wanted not because she was told to. she didn´t know Elsa would come back to life with her actions
@@RoyalUK2023 Everyone in Arendell wouldn't have died though; they got 'escorted' out by the Spirits. Elsa - from the beginning - wanted to do this alone, to put no one in danger; she felt that she HAD to do it alone. Were it not for Elsa wanting to follow the voice and find out the truth, the spirits would still be mad, and the people in the mist would still be trapped within.
@@eternasapphiremoon81 I think that's what the issue is on the list. They said her building the dam was her act of bravery not sacrificing herself for the truth.
Thank you Ms Mojo for putting a smile on my face with another Disney-themed video! 💛 You must always be Loyal Brave & True these qualities help bring out the warrior and princess within you! 😊
Great list! I was really happy that Pocahontas preventing the war was so high up there. I would’ve included Anna destroying the dam too but maybe you were just trying not to do two heroic moments for the same princess...
I mean she even stood up to King James about calling his armada off, he even says he could easily have her executed and she simply responded “Then I shall be the first to fall”
Okay, to have Rapunzel not be in the top 5 is a kind of slap to the face. With all she's done and how she faced Gothel deserved more. And, though I love Elsa, Anna is the more heroic of the duo in both features since she was the one that went ahead with the dam and faced the giants. Yes, Elsa had her moments but the real hero was Anna
Honestly she never really risked her life, she was going to give away her freedom but is not the same as risking your life when you know you can die (like Anna, Moana or Mulan) I would have had her before Merida but definitely not on the top 5.
@@aracelichely2954 point there. I'm just upset she was just ranked 10 lower than Belle. Like it worked out in the end when Belle took her dad's place because her "capture" was not what he appeared, but Rapunzel was going to leave it all behind and live a lie with a person hell bent on using her for the rest of her life. I think I'm just going more in line with her character than to just this specific moment.
I am just so satisfied with everything with the video but Anna saving Elsa should have been number 1 . She knew she’ll die but she sacrificed her life for save her sister! And also Anna breaking the dam should have been on the list! Everything else is alright 😊
I think that Elsa sacrificing her life for the truth about the past was pretty brave, also she almost burned to death/died in a hurricane/drowned at sea to save others, and I think that was pretty Brave aswell 😂
Even though Esmeralda from Hunchback of Notre Dame is not a Disney princess, she did the bravest things in any Disney movie: standing up against injustice and a powerful judge when she was highly discriminated against because she was a gypsy. Also, when Frollo was about to burn Esmeralda at the stake, Frollo gave her the choice to be with him or be burned....and what does she do? She SPAT IN FROLLO'S FACE!!!
I liked the way you put Anna's punching Hans, commercial , splash that made me laugh. And also in the original Frozen Elsa risked losing her Queen title name, and gave love back to her frozen sister. Elsa showed us a big message about love is not measured by what we receive, true love is measured by what we give. Elsa never forgot that in her heart. Elsa is a true heroine.
Anna should be number 1 because she literally gave up her life for her sister and also broke the dam which means Erindale would’ve been flooded sooo like y’all are stupid for not seeing that Anna should be in number 1 or 2 because she did the right and that all had a cost to give something she loved
My personal #1: Elsa taking the plunge into the depth of atohallan despite her mother's warning, then forcing herself to look the horrible truth about her grandfather straight in the eye and willingly let herself put into cryo-sleep as a hostage until the evil deed was avenged (or maybe even - as most of you probably would put it - sacrificing her own life in order to atone for the sins of her ancestors).
I always thought and believe that the Disney Princesses are the strongest women in the world. With lots and lots of girl power, of course. They're the inspirations!
Anna destroying the damn should have been here. She knew Arendell would be destroyed by the flood, but she did it anyway because it was the right thing to do.
I think Kiara should be on the list. She always stood true to her ideals and her feelings, never relenting, even when her blockheaded father exiled her lover. She stood even against him and went on to find Kovu, and then proceeded to give him the bravery to choose making things right instead of escaping together, which would have been easier. And then again, along Kovu, she had the courage to stand in between two rival "armies" and advocate peace - and manage to actually convince them. And then, she even did everything she could in order to save Zira, who did so many evil things in her life and wanted to kill her. Truly, she's one of the best Disney princesses.
Her and Mulan are my favorite princesses. Kiara saved her dad named simba in two ways. She reminds him what we are one means which she used that speech to saved his soul from hatred and reminds him to forgive and move on and she also saved his life from the lioness zira who couldn't let things go.
Yes but she isn't royalty and also her heroism wasn't enough for her to be a Disney princess. Though I Prefer to see her as a friend of the Disney Princesses .
@@abdthesnowking4528 Not every Disney Princess is of royalty, as its more of a franchise than nobility. In fact, Esmeralda was once part of the Disney Princess Line Up, but was dropped after her movie as considered to be "too dark."
Elsa barely deserves an honorable mention. Also everyone does Kida dirty! She never makes the Disney Princess line up, she wasn't in Ralph breaks the internet, and never makes a top ten list.
@@hydrokineticpowerhouse Yes, but unfortunately the movie didn't make enough money at the box office so Kida wasn't considered profitable enough to be a Disney Princess. After all, the point of the lineup is to sell toys and merchandise.
0:13 was watching this last night on Sky Cinema Disney . Tangled should have been no 2 gotta love the part where her tears brought Eugene back to life again via a magic tear.
It was inevitable the TV series would be excluded (there are only three princess TV series) but it must be pretty frustrating for Rapunzel, who gets to do a lot of awesome things in the Tangled series. In the grand finale of that show, she slayed a 1000 year old demon, used the power of the syndrome and moonstone to heal everyone in her kingdom, and (most heroically of all) forgave and helped a former friend who travelled down a very dark and destructive path...
Ariel, Kida and Kiara should’ve been on this list 😒 Ariel saved a whole fucking life TWICE, how is that not enough to be on this list? Kida saved a fucking whole civilization, how is that not enough? Kiara brought peace into the Pridelands stoping a war.
Aaaaaah you put rapunzel saving Eugene at the end of the list oh why? It deserves like way higher on the list! this list is still great!!! Love how there's more to a princess than just a title and responsibility!! Aaaaah you included the wreck it Ralph princess scene just aaaah! I remember me and my bestie were just losing it and were the loudest people in the theater over the princesses scenes in Ralph breaks the internet!! Aaaaah I love how you added Cinderella protecting Anastasia!! great list
❤I love all these princesses. However, I do wish they had put Esmeralda on the list. Even though she's not an official princess, she has all the qualities to be one, she's beautiful on the inside and out, she's kind, she's brave, she's strong, she stands for what's right, and even when Frollo offers her to be saved from being burned at the stake if she chooses to be his, she doesn't give up her freedom to Frollo even if it means she'll be burned. Who doesn't love that part when she spits straight in his face?
I think Anna's attitude is beautiful, saving her sister that she could hate (not that it's Elsa's fault) but her attitude that made her my favorite princess, that made me idolize this woman it was when Anna broke the dam, which was the hardest part, I think this act of hers is at the level of Mulan or Moana, she not only saved Arendelle, she saved a people that were not hers, doing what was right! Anna is badass and no early marriage can change that.
Does no one realize that Rapunzel was about to turn 18 when she fell in love with Flynn Rider who looks a lot older than she is. Then, she marries him almost right after??? Wouldn’t he be still 18 or 19??
'Cept for the fact that Vanelleope, Anna, and Elsa are NOT Disney Princesses; good list. The Disney Princess Lineup as stated by Disney is: 1. Snow White (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) 2. Cinderella (Cinderella) 3. Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) 4. Ariel (The Little Mermaid) 5. Belle (Beauty and the Beast) 6. Jasmine (Aladdin) 7. Pocahontas (Pocahontas) 8. Mulan (Mulan) 9. Tiana (The Princess and the Frog) 10. Rapunzel (Tangled) 11. Merida (Brave) 12. Moana (Moana)
I do disagree but only because Pocahontas, Moana, Mulan, and Elsa are not technically princesses. Pocahontas and Moana are daughters of chiefs, Mulan is a warrior, and when Elsa stopped the flood she was a Queen. I know, I know, SEMANTICS...but the title says "princesses."
@@sarasamaletdin4574 I agree that it's probably not going to happen but what I don't get is why. To me it feels like a guaranteed success for Disney (especially if they include Elsa & Anna who aren't part of the offical Disney princess lineup).
If you’re okay with B movies, try “Avengers Grimm” by The Asylum. Bit dark and the Princesses are grown up, but it is a team up against Rumpelstiltskin (spelling?)
Or a series I think would work better for all the princesses and heroines to get the recognition they need to build a character for a decent series. A movie wouldn’t be able to cater to everyone’s favorite princesses. But that’s just my opinion.
Rapunzel saves Flynn Rider, Merida stands against an arranged marriage, Tiana defines Dr. Facilier, Cinderella protects Anastasia, Pocahontas saves John Smith, Elsa stops a flood, Moana saves life
Ariel saved Eric from a shipwreck and took no credit for it, Belle turned the Beast back into a human, Pocahontas saved John Smith from dying. Mulan saved her entire country. Meg died for Hercules. Then Giselle saved Robert. Those were the heroes I grew up with way before Tiana, Merida or Elsa or Moana the screen. Don't get me wrong, the new princesses are great and badass, but the renaissance Princesses and non Princesses (like Meg, Kida, Esmeralda, etc.) were the best! One of the OG's Cinderella lived in an abusive home and managed to still be kindhearted which is very hard, shows a lot of mental toughness on her part. I like that Merida refused to marry, it was progressive and right of her to stand up for herself, but technically she only did it for herself which isn't heroic. Merida' spot on the list should've been replaced with Ariel saving Eric's life.
Rapunzel:and if i make a promise i wouldnt break it!*thinking its finally her chance to go out* rewind onto mother knows best*gothel;dont ever ask to leave this tower again... rapunzel:yes mother... if flynn over heard rapunzels promise with gothel he would not trust her
How is Elsa's move even remotely brave? She is at zero risk. It's Anna who was brave, doing something dangerous and risky and knowing the fallout would be extreme, but doing it anyway because it was the right thing to do.
Awesome i love Disney movies a lot they are soooooo good and i have seen all of this movie on this list in this video on here and thank you guys for doing a Disney themed video on here it being a smile to my face and a lot of memories from my childhood when gowning up 80/90s has a kid/teen
*MY FAVORITES:* 1. Moana returns the heart to Te Fiti ("Moana") 2. Mulan saves China ("Mulan") 3. Esmeralda stands up to Frollo ("The Hunchback of Notre Dame") 4. Anna risks her life to ensure that the dam is destroyed, thereby saving Arendell ("Frozen 2"). Quite frankly, her actions are more heroic than Elsa's because she (Anna) doesn't have special powers that could stop a flood in its tracks! 5. Belle saves her father by agreeing to be the Beast's prisoner ("Beauty and the Beast") I'm including Esmeralda because she was, at one time, considered a Disney princess ... until the complaints of over-sensitive snowflakes resulted in her being dethroned.
