1) I never said I dont like Halloween 1978 I said I lost my taste for watching it every October. 2) The bullshit I've endured from the "fanbase" of that franchise has all but killed any interest I have in watching or talking about those movies. If there wasnt constant comments and messages asking me about Halloween Kills you wouldnt hear me talking about it until my review. 3) The fact that I talked for 20 minutes about 10 different movies and all some of you heard was "Halloween" is exactly why I lost my taste for it.

Ah, I totally get that. I was curious why you lost your taste for watching it every Halloween, but that makes sense. When a movie gets heaping praise over the years and a fanbase that becomes hostile to any kind of criticism, it has an interesting effect of perceiving the movie as overrated, and isn't really even the fault of the movie.

As a massive Halloween fan I totally get where you are coming from. I get bored of every little bit of news being a massive talking point. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy we are getting follow ups but I'd love a new Friday and Nightmare. Would it be wrong to want a new Jaws???

As much as I would've loved a sequel, the ending was changed, and Freddy and Jason don't end up in Hell at the end, and Pinhead doesn't appear. They just couldn't get the rights. Why can't some movie studios just work together? How about Chucky VS Leprechaun, Leatherface VS Michael Myers, or hell, Jason VS Michael Myers?

Yesssss 100% agree on Girl w/Dragon Tattoo! I wish they would've completed the trilogy. Loved the Swedish version but Fincher's version was so perfectly dark and haunting. Would've loved to see more

Happy birthday Greg Russo and Adrian, my birthday was on the 20th (I turned 25 😭). I agree so much about Friday the 13th 2009, probably because I remember seeing it in the theaters as a teenager, as well as The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I’m also in the camp of wanting Kill Bill Vol. 3 and a Child’s Play 2019 sequel.

This is literally my favorite place on RU-vid to listen to film discussion and review! Don't let the stupid people get in the way of that. Film is subjective. Fans are fans. We know you love the original Halloween. I think, for the exception of the 5th Halloween, that you generally like all of the Halloween films. Keep doing you, man. That's what makes us coming back. Hey Cody, thanks for the recommendation of “Frailty.” Bought it on Blu-ray recently after watching your best endings video, and oh my god. It was an awesome first film for the late Bill Paxton. Incredible movie and has jumped to my top 10 favorite horror films of all time.

100% agree on Dredd being at number 1. When I was really young, my dad used to have this stack of old comics, and aside from Iron Man, Judge Dredd and 2000 AD was the one he had the most of. The arc that introduced me to the character and Mega City One was Judge Death Lives, and I would love it they made a sequel to Dredd with the Dark Judges as the main villains. Hell, Karl Urban even said he wants to play the character again. Let the man do it!

And to be honest I will like to see a sequel for Terminator salvation bc I really like that movie it's based on a comic and the Terminator comics does follow John Connor as adult and the comic book series are amazing and I will like to see Christian Bale return as John Connor in the near future

I would like a sequel to Terminator salvation as well, I just think the lore of the world was pretty cool I like to see the whole world after the war started we haven’t gotten a movie like that before we’ve gotten some things like in terminator genesis of the future we never got a full movie and that’s why I like salvation but I would love to see sequel to it

It would be great to see more of the war against skynet but I also agree that dark fate made a lot of sense because we have always been on this destructive path and Sarah did stop judgement day and skynet but there are lots of companies working on making the best machine so it makes perfect sense that it would still turn out the same way

I remember as a teenager hearing about a possible sequel to True Lies in the early 2000's. But unfortunately, Arnold put aside his acting career to become the "Governator" of California. And James Cameron went on to do Avatar. I really do feel True Lies deserves a sequel.

Yes! Friday the 13th 2009 deserves a sequel, since it ended on Cliffhanger. I don't want the movie to end on a cliffhanger and no sequel happens! I loved the remake so much that I love it more than the original. Thanks for putting it on the list.

Another great video. I laughed as soon as you brought up terminator but I kind of felt like you were going to pick that one as soon as you said the controversial one. I was stoked that you said that some of us gave it a chance and ended up liking it. Thanks for mentioning that because that's definitely me for sure. However I'm okay with not getting a sequel only because I'm burnt out on Terminator. Not so much because of dark fate. I like how you said in another review that it works as a good conclusion as well. Plus it's the Sarah Connor trilogy. True Lies, I would absolutely love a sequel to that with all the returning heroes. You damn right about Derek Mears. Good list.

@Unpopular Opinions Nah not really. I've seen people break down many times why Endgame has flaws. I've very little people explain the flaws with Alita. Almost every rates Alita 9 or 10 out of 10

Great list Cody- love how you appreciated the Friday remake. I feel that it’s biggest crime as far as haters are concerned is the fact it wasn’t made or set in the 80’s and so didn’t have that nostalgic feel fans love about the series. I do prefer most of the first 8 (including Jason takes Manhattan!) as I grew up on them, but F13th 2009 was the first I saw in the cinema (FvJ doesn’t count) and I had a lot of fun with it. Far better than all the other New Line releases. The guys that made it were unfairly dissed- it had the best opening, a badass Jason, great kills and looked awesome. Bring on the Scream Factory release and a new movie this decade 🤞🏼

You want a sequel to My cousin Vinny? Nobody ever talks about that movie and it was so good! It was Legally Blond, years before that movie came out! And, arguably, I found that the climax in My Cousin Vinny was better articulated than the one in Legally Blond. It certainly would've deserved a sequel, but right now, I'm just happy one of my favourite RU-vid remembers that movie as well. And you mentioned True Lies! I just watched that movie for the first time over the weekend and I was just thinking to myself how strange that it had never got a sequel. It had all the ingredients, what happened? Great list, as usual. You always surprise me with unexpected, yet compelling choices.

I totally agree with you about sequels to Dredd and True Lies. Did you ever see 'Priest' with Karl Urban? That film DEFINITELY needs and deserves a sequel. Also, would like to see a sequel to 'Solomon Kane' and 'John Carter'. Both of those films are HIGHLY underrated and underappreciated.

Hey video request here, id like to see you do a review of each season of the Hannibal series with Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen. I don’t know if you have seen it. But it’s within your wheelhouse. It’s great. If you haven’t seen it I recommend it because it’s well worth a watch. Great psychology horror. :) Just a thought. Sorry for the random rant :) Enjoyed this video :)

A second Alita would be great, as it feels like it's just getting started, and damn...Dredd 2 would be a dream, but sadly, Karl Urban's been pretty firm on the fact that the studio just won't do it, whether he wants to or not. Personally, I'd love to see another Man From UNCLE.

The first 20 min of Friday the 13th is my fav part of any horror movie from the big 3. I'm not sure if its a canon sequel but there's Punisher War Zone with Ray Stevenson.

I really like Thomas Jane's Punisher movie. It has it's odd qualities, like being set in Florida instead of New York because they couldn't afford to film there, but I think it's a fun action movie overall. I think Thomas Jane could've shined more if he got the kind of writing that Jon Bernthal would get. Though, Thomas Jane did voice the Punisher in the game back on PS2 and Xbox, which I remember being pretty violent.

John Carter District 9 Constantine Upgrade Dredd Spider Man 3 (Sam Raimi) Star Trek:Beyond The Thing (1982) Beetlejuice There may be some more but I am gonna edit it sometime. Yes! I agree with F13 2009! I really liked it. Like you, its not my fav franchise, but I feel like the 2009 pulls the best elements from the previous films, giving us a good homage, but a modern update.

9:10 The closest thing to a sequel the film got was the Punisher PS2 game where the game's version of Jigsaw was Howard Saint's son John who'd survived the claymore bomb that apparently killed him but it scarred his face and he manipulated Frank into destroying both the Gnucci gang and the Russian mob to weaken the Kingpin and take over his empire with a Yakuza gang called The Eternal Sun he'd taken over. He also wanted Frank dead for scarring him too.

Talking about Punisher 2004, hoping that it would get a sequel that's much more gritty and violent like in the comics. Then not mentioning Punisher: War Zone (2008) which actually delivered on that (and yes that one has "tone inconsistencies") but instead describing the tv series

4:31 It's one of mine too probably because I prefer human, hard to kill but capable of being killed Jason from 2-4 and the remake to undead Jason from VI to Freddy vs Jason.

I'd love to see a sequel to The Punisher. It would be nice to see another Friday The 13th movie. Here are some movies I would like to see a sequel for: The Baytown Outlaws No One Lives The Burning Shoot Em Up Child's Play (2019) Don't Kill It Kick Ass 2 No Country For Old Men The Guest Baby Driver A History Of Violence Peppermint Death Wish (2018) Awesome video, as always. some lesser known or not anticipated movies that deserve a sequel. 1. Central Intelligence - Rock and Hart did a pretty good job on this buddy action movie. Could reunite for another one. 2. Invisible Man - Another movie ripe for a sequel. 3. Wrath of Man to Wrath of Woman 4. Hubie Halloween Would love to see him in another crazy situation 5. Rough Night - I liked this one. Another one where Scarlett is married and gets into a tough situation could be good.

Alita is a big favorite of mine. I have the anime it's based on o VHS. Watched it over and over as a kid. Saw this on opening night. I was not disappointed

I'd love to see one to David Lynch's Mulholland Drive. I thought it'd be great to explore more of the world, and have someone trying to find out what happened to the two female leads.

Agree with most of the list. However, my number one would have to be Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon. It cries out for a sequel.

The film I would vote for most would be the Belko Experiment i just think it’s such a damn fun movie. I actually watched dark date today i think it’s really good I gave it a 4/5 both watches and I think it’s great nothing will match the first two bit this fit in that universe.
