I loved this, it was so nice and helpful to see you demonstrating how all the colours mix together. I never thought of using black grape for shadows on leaves, and the slate grey and cool grey look amazing for metal - I really wanna try that now! 😊
Thank you for this video! I love seeing exactly how you use these pencils in combination with other pencils. This video is worth watching several times.
Thanks Alena. You can get all Prisma pencils singular on Dick Blick art supplies on-line. I will have to try the black grape. I use all the rest, and Deco Yellow is my favorite. I also use Slate Gray,Kelly Green, and Jade Green with grays for underwater plants.
Great Video! I loved knowing what your favorite colors are and how you combine them. First I bought the set of 132 Prismacolor and then the set of 150 to have all the colors. My favorites are: artichoke, Ginger root, putty beige, slate gray, lime peel, black grape, greyed lavender, pale sage, nectar and cloud blue. I also have the set of 120 polychromos that I adore. I use them very often with the Prismacolor. Of the set of polychromes I love all the reds and the greens especially.
Thank you for this wonderful video!!!! I love your color choices!!! I learned a lot.I never really new what to do with French Grey before. Now I will use it in shading.Love from Vermont
Hi Elena , thank you for this very very helpful and informative videos . Really looking forward to your Top 10 on the Polychromos and your take on each of the Prismacolor Premier pencils. Maybe you can do 1 video on each of the Prismacolor pencils every week?
My top ten favorite Prismacolor pencil colors are Goldenrod, Apple Green, Greyed Lavender, Dahlia Purple, True Blue, Ginger root, Jasmine, Seashell Pink, Sienna Brown and Prussian Green. I also love Raspberry.
I enjoyed seeing all your favorites and how you use them. I tried to pick my favorites but I have too many colors that I like. I really like all the deco colors and the other light colors in this set. I also felt there were too many grays when I first got these pencils but I have changed my mind. In love all the grays. I had to replace quite a few of them already.
I'm glad that it was helpful. I started to 'feel' my favorite colors only after a year or even after 2 years of using them, so you have plenty of time for learning your preferences
Hi Alena, thank you for sharing. I too love Raspberry, I use it a lot. I also love Goldenrod the Ochre colours too. I would be interested to know your top 10 Polychromos colours, if you get around to it. Thank you 💖 XxX
I have the 72 set of Prismacolors. My favorites are Violet Blue, Mulberry, Process Red, Yellowed Orange, and the three French Greys in this set which are 20%, 50% and 70%. Thanks for the great tips on combining colours.
