I've had the El Chete for 5 years and it has held up and over achieved in all the different environments I've used it in. Used it heavily in the everglades as well as the Smokey Mountains in North Carolina. I had a Kershaw camp 18 that snapped in half while cleaning up my yard after hurricane Maria. I was so disappointed. That's when I purchased the El Chete. I can't praise that knife enough.
@@ImrightImright-y2v Make sure it's big and sharp and to hand. I occasionally carry Glock when going to Asdas in Harpurhey Manchester. It's rough as fk.
Got the Slysteel Kukri machete. Compact, nice forward weight. And a bottle opener hook on top of the blade to open a fresh one after dismembering a body.
Should have included the Ontario 12” cutlass machete. 1095 steel and thicker than a traditional machete. Put a convex edge on it and it becomes a chopping beast.
Who in their right mind would pay $225 for a Tops El Chete to chop wood camping? Buy a cheap axe 🪓 like an estwing camp axe for goodness sakes. Spend $225 on a good knife.
that tramontina is so cheap but also the least rust proof from this list, had to use them a lot back when i was still working at mine site, fresh off the store, straight to the jungle and rusty after only one night (granted we didnt care much for it seeing its so cheap)
They cut off limbs with knives like the bestia. The hard blade and angle of the it creates a lot of power against the bone in the swing. Surgical blades or chainsaws that created to handle wet/dry mix are used often too. A regular saw was used to cut off the guys arm in the basement of the eye and it got stuck. They had to call a surgeon to come finish it with their portable saw. (story I mentioned before). Apparently he had cancer there anyway and it was for a buyin or both etc..
The cold steel is built on the same premise as the bestia but the area you have to hit it is much smaller, it was for more style if you call it that. They are harder to sharpen due to the edge.
Brilliant show... Every thing you said is, to me, 💯 percent true. Bottom line to sum the nonsense up is "DENIAL"! People know what the truth is but like you said... Their "Expression" is the only thing that makes sense. Quite selfish in my opinion. I suppose in a sense, these topics could be blamed on Civil Rights. This is the first video I've seen of yours and I must tell you that I'm an instant fan. Keep up the good work looking forward to seeing more. Thank you
Around youtube there are many videos like this. They exploit the contents of other youtubers to increase their channel. Luckily there are some channels like yours. Thanks for everything you do for us. You are my point of reference.
The Tramontina, Kukri, and Parang are all traditional machetes from different places around the world that have been perfected for use by those local people for those places. The Kukri has a very well researched extensive history. The Parang is for the hardwood and woody jungles of SE Asia such as Malaysia or Indonesia. The Tramontina is a favorite in South America up to the US south as it slices through vines with ease being thin, light, and razor sharp.
