@@Kalika_2012 lmao u ask that as if there is nowhere they can fit on this list. they can easily replace the saints from that same year. leading a 31st ranked defense to 15-1 is the best carry job by an nfl offense in nfl history
And they were 17 points away from getting the most points scored in NFL history And still have the record for most total offensive yards in NFL history
It’s literally cause Barry is starting to change/ or has changed his opinion on Rodgers and to the border of a hater now🤣it’s embarrassing and I’m starting to see through him. He don’t like the guy so he’s done giving him credit. Sad to watch
@@johndavis9321 his defense was worse?🤣 32 ranked defense for the packers who let up 37 at home to the giants with a Hail Mary. How about you actually watch football clown😂. Also he has a hof head coach while Rodgers had McCarthy. I rest my case, once again. You’re a clown🤣🤡🫵🏼
@@johndavis9321 and I hope my comment doesn’t get removed cause an embarrassing fan like you discrediting that season deserves to get schooled about football like all these media sheeps. You can reply btw we can “debate “ this. What a joke🤣
The Drew Brees led offense should have been in the Superbowl in the seasons of 2011, 2017, and 2018 but was always letdown by his defense(and refs in 2018). Even when the Saints had a good defense they always choked at the last minute.
@@aceassn716well by that point had the refs done their jobs OT likely would have not happen and the Saints would have gone on to deflate the Patriots in the Superbowl.
@@aceassn716maybe, but there was hands to the face while he was throwing, which should have been that or roughing the passer and it wasn’t called. Then that same night, Brady gets a finger to his helmet and he gets a flag. Why does Brady get that and Brees doesn’t? It’s rigged. They wanted Brady and a big market Los Angeles in the Super Bowl.
@couldbetrento5850 And if Sean Payton hadn't been a complete moron and just called three run plays in that sequence, the Rams would've gotten the ball with a minute left and no timeouts and they probably would've had to throw a Hail Mary at the end of regulation. Instead he effectively gifted the Rams two free timeouts. Yes, the missed call was bad. But the Saints earned that L.
Putting the statistically best offense at 6 because they lost badly in the Super Bowl below 4 teams that also lost in heartbreaking fashion in the playoffs is wild
@@tedbundywastheultimatechad8400 Half of his 16 starts he had a passer rating of at least 98.6 throwing 19 for touchdowns and 2 interceptions, 114.8 passer rating and 2k yards. He finished the year with a 73, 3.1k yards with a 23:20 td:int ratio. That’s once in a lifetime turbulence from a starting quarterback. Especially on a team that went to the Super Bowl. If not him someone
2011 packers 35 ppg and Rodgers would sit most 4th quarters. Unfortunate ending with losing to the Giants(eventual SB champs) in the divisional, but that offense was unstoppable.
The best offense I've seen in my life is 2018 Chiefs.. before they had this notorious kicker they had another notorious kicker known as Kareem Hunt. Mahomes, Hunt, Kelce, Hill. Absolutely unstoppable. They never played in the playoffs together I believe
people keep acting like the 2011 packers defense was SO much worse but lets be real the most important statistic when it comes to ranking defenses is how many PPG do you give up and how many turnovers can you get. The 2011 packers had 31 interceptions leading the league, and 22.1 OPPG. The 2011 Saints were tied for 2nd lowest ints in the league with only 9 the whole season, and gave up 21OPPG, only slightly better than the packers. Saints defense actually allowed a better passer rating than the packers, so it can really be argued that the saints defense was worse, all while actually putting up amazing numbers in the playoffs. It is well deserved imo.
@@AngryLoser9690lol thank you people act like that 11 defense was just the absolute worse defense to ever take the field but no their have been plenty of worse defenses in history
@@johndavis9321The 2012 Saints were the worst defense in NFL history. They broke the NFL record for most yards given up by a defense with 7,042 yards. Surpassing the 1981 Baltimore Colts record of 6,793 yards. Brees also had two more historically bad defenses in the same span. Bree’s has had the worst defenses out of all the top QBs in the league. If Brees had the defenses Brady has been carried by then he would have 10 SB. Not to mention playing in the NFC Least for all those years with a guaranteed first round bye and home field for the playoffs. No QB has ever been gifted like that dude has throughout his career. The calls at just the right time to help save Brady and extend a crucial drive. The scandals that he and Bellicheat got away with only a slap on the wrist. Tuck rule, Seattle gifted int. And the Falcons gifted whatever the hell you want to call it. Luckiest dude I. The world with all the BS that saved him and made him look like he was all that. Those defenses and kickers did more in most of the SB than Brady.
I liked and subbed just off you saying you made the top 10 defenses first. Of course I'll be going to watch that one after this one has completed💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
2018 KC to beat Pitt in Pitt, when Ben had Juju and AB with Connor was the defining moment in almost all current KC fandom. It was the game that defined the Kelce connection, the importance of Hill, and Pat's scramble drill.
It's hard to believe the 2018 Chiefs were at the top of this list. It was insanely entertaining to see them put up that many points but I remember the defense not being as good. They mostly had a bad secondary and this was the year before Steve Spagnolo came to town. Who knows how many the points can score this year now that the Chiefs have a pretty good defense.
Might want to look up the interceptions and PPG allowed. That defense was a lot better than just the yards given up. Same old lame excuse every Packer fan says.
Little did childhood me realize that the 1998 Vikings would set the tone for a lifetime of Minnesota sports disappointment. I’m turning 30 this year and have yet to see even one of our major sports teams play in a championship game.
They did in 2001 and were among the reasons the Rams were able to keep the SB game from going out of hand despite Warner's interceptions including a pick 6 to Ty Law.
It is really telling that Barry is actually happy about a division rival (the Giants) winning a super bowl over Tom Brady's Patriots. A die-hard Eagles fan indeed.
Drew brees has had the BEST collection of running backs behind him in nfl history. Its not even close and he still only has 1 ring so he couldn't have been to good he was just a stat chaser
Nice try you bot, but that kc team with “everything around him” couldnt even get past the wildcard round for half a decade and wasnt even on tv most of the time. Holy shit you retards are hilarious
You should make a series called “Trial By Barry” where you analyze an infamous player’s scandals they may have been involved in throughout their career and give them a reputation grade at the end
As a Packers fan, a few things. First, I'll concede the 2011 Saints offense was more balanced than the 2011 Packers offense was in terms of both run and pass. But the Packers had the highest scoring offense that year. (560 for GB and 547 for NO). So, I can't say the Saints deserved that spot above GB. Second, I'll also say this, too. Aaron Rodgers, rightfully, deserved NFL MVP that year. He threw 45 TDs (in 15 games where Brees had one more game to get to 46 where if Rodgers had played the same amount, it's plausible to believe he could have still ended up with more, anyway), only 6 INTs, and got his team 14 of the 15 wins that season (where he didn't play that last game of the year because they had the 1 seed locked up). And he did it with no help from his run game or from the arguably worst defense in league history. It all rode on his back. Brees had a good run game and defense (top--half at 13'th compared to GB's 31'st) and still finished with 2 fewer wins. Rodgers was superman. But again, I concede, the Saints offense better balanced but it wasn't the best that year because, again, GB finished higher in PPG. I disagree with this ranking but just that part. If 2011 NO got a spot, at the very least, GB, the team that had the best scoring offense and the league MVP on said offense, deserved #10. And that's still too low.
What If i told you all that the bears were 3rd in points scored that year. (I am not joking, offenses sucked in 2006) The only teams with more points scored than the bears was the chargers and colts.
Washington guy here Joe Gibbs team put up 35 points in the second of the Superbowl 87. That 91 team was bad neither at 14 - 2 two losses by 5 points . Since we talking all time offenses .
I would have put the 2013 broncos higher. Barry does have a point, that team will probably always be remembered for shitting the bed during the superbowl even after breaking all those offensive records.
Call me crazy but had Dee Ford not done that shit and also that OL that was decimated against the Bucs, would be saying he could possibly have 5 rings already and getting closer to TB 6 Rings..but those are big what ifs..still Patrick having 3 already similar to Brady got his 3 and is only getting better..that’s f**kin scary..they finally had a great defense to compliment Mahomie
I think you make a good point in your greatest defenses video about offense today. I wouldn’t give too much credit to a team today on offense because the league is tailored for offense. Chiefs had an all time great offense but I wouldn’t put them that high because of that reason.
Barry, you completely dropped the ball leaving off the '91 Buffalo Bills. They had an actual attack of passing and running. Back when an offense was supposed to be a complete package.
2013 Broncos weren't "one of" the greatest offenses of all time. It was and is the greatest offense in NFL history. They just happened to go up against the best defence in the history of the league as well.
And had the 2018 chiefs played that seahawks squad, they’re dropping 40 plus on that secondary. No defense could legitmatly stop that squad for an entire game, compared to the 2013 broncos that stalled out on multiple games during that season
I'm a Broncos fan, and Barry is right. SB48 was so bad, it negated a lot of the great things the 2013 Broncos did during the regular season. It's even more amazing that two years later Elway put together a defense capable of leading them to a SB w/out much of an offense at all.
@@iamhungey12345 I’ve done a deep dive Peyton and the offense choked away most of the playoff games he lost and he was carried by his defense in 2006 when he did win in Indy
I'll always wonder what the 2013 Superbowl would have looked like for Denver if there hadn't been so many injuries. If you look at the list, it's depressing. I'm not saying that the Broncos would have necessarily won, but when you have arguably a top 5 cornerback in Chris Harris plus a future first ballot hall of famer in Von Miller out as just the start, it definitely changed things.
Barry I have a video idea. Do the worst people/future or previous criminals to win the Walter Payton award. Like an example is Myles garret winning it despite almost beheading a man on the field 2-3 years prior.
Barry I just almost smoked marijuana after crying for 6 hours to my wife’s boyfriend about how under appreciated Drew Brees is. Thank you for this video and God Bless America
Good list but I do have to disagree with the Broncos. Yeah, putting up 8 points in the SB was horrible, but they were not only playing a legendary defense in the 2013 Seahawks (to me, scoring 8 against them is similar to the Pats scoring 14 against the 2007 Giants), but also the fact that they made it to the SB should count for more than the teams on this list that didn’t make it at all, in my opinion. But like you say, it’s your video and you’re a hero
