I passed my test this morning - first time with 4 minors and I owe so much credit to your videos I binged over the past few weeks!!! Thank you for your wonderful content! You are literally the best teacher 🙌🏼
Passed first time this morning with 3 minors after two years of learning to drive but no instructor because of demand due to covid. Your videos ensured I knew exactly how to prepare for the test and very much helped me pass today! Thank you!
Thankfully I found your videos just in time, I had 2 days to go through as many as I could and I passed my driving test this week with 3 minors. Now I won't have to cycle to work in the rain all the time now 😃
You're the best driving instructor on youtube. I was watching this bald guy and he was so arbitrary with his driving protocols. Being like "every 8 seconds check all your mirrors" and "shoulder check every time you move laterally." When practicing it was causing even more or a distraction cuz I was too busy checking mirrors and wasnt even fully aware of what was going on in front of me. I really appreciate how in one of your videos you said something like "you need to use the mirrors that are relevant to the information you need to know in that situation." So thank you for being more practical and logical in your driving instruction. It took a lot of stress off me from worrying about checking mirrors arbitrarily when I'm already aware of the vehicles around me.
I passed my driving test 13 years ago which had 14 minors. I failed the first time with a major and on both occasions I had gotten the same examiner. Anyway, no accidents in those 13 years of driving and I have even driven in other Countries where the vehicle had the steering wheel on the left hand side. Once you pass your driving test don’t look back and enjoy driving.
Cheers man I started last week I’ve had 4 hours already of lessons so 2 lessons next week on my 3rd lesson been watching all the videos to improve as quick as I can 👍🏽
Passed today first time with 2 minors watching your videos was such a great help. I was still so nervous but for anyone about to take their test, there is no need to be nervous it is easier than you may think and there’s always more times you can retake if you don’t pass.
Your videos played a massive part in helping me pass my driving test! Love your content, thanks for your time and energy making all these amazing resources 💪😁👍
Got my test a week this Friday after many cancellations due to lockdowns. Trying to stay calm but difficult with the added pressure of next available test dates not being until next summer at least. Been watching your videos for a while and they are extremely helpful. Let’s hope it all comes in handy next week.
Biggest tip is don't get nervous most people can easily pass the uk driving test if they don't get nervous. I failed on my first attempt as I got nervous and the car rolled back a lot. So that'll be my biggest tip imagine the examiner is your instructor or parent that can help calm your nerves a lot.
Brilliant video as always got my test very soon I’m currently doing a intense driving course hoping I passed first time your videos are great help thank you
Passed today with 6 minors, and of course your videos helped me the most I would like to say thank you so much for the amazing work and good luck everyone with your tests just focus on your driving rather the examiner!!!!
Did it guys passed yesterday only one minor, only had 2 official lessons aswell, I had a year experience so I knew how to drive but the way I learnt to pass the test was this channel! Thank you so much
Very informative, interesting and helpful. Thanks to this knowledge many of learners will be able to concentrate on those weak points and eliminate the possible mistakes. Really appreciate for taking DVSA data and preparing such a great video yet again! 👍🙂
Hi Rich, I just passed my theory yesterday and I am soon going to apply your teachings for my practice before going for my practical test. I have learnt a lot from your videos, and I pretty sure, if applied well, I have no reason to fail.
Passed today at Swindon with 3 Minors... !! Thanks to my instructors and RU-vid channel like this.. Excellent guys.. keep doing this work.. this gives us confidence and another dimensional views.. I will watch this channel for more days to keep up driving skills upgraded.. @Conquer Driving, when you visit Swindon, Lunch on Me :)
Hii, I passed my driving test 2 days ago and I would like to thank you for your good informative videos which helped a lot me to pass the test as I had not gone for any driving classes and used my own car for the test 🎉😊. Thankyou so much
Thank you boss for all these videos, I have passed my driving test in another city I don't know with just 1 minor fault: steering a bit fast when entering junction.
Great video! I was wondering if you'd ever thought about making a video on how to react to emergency vehicles/blue lights in different situations, I feel like there doesn't seem to be a general consensus on the best way to react and I don't feel like instructors spend enough time on it, thanks!
It is a PASS! Hi Richard I discovered your channel and bingo it has helped me a lot. I had my test yesterday (20/06/2023) and watched this particular video, as someone who had only 3hrs of driving practice with an accredited instructor this video came in handy and I passed my test
Cheers conquer diving I passed my taxi licence today test in Eastbourne. Sorry I don't know your first name but you are a character & excellent RU-vid instuctor. Your dry steering 3 point turn helped me immensely. Take care.
Even though I passed my test two months ago, I still watch your videos to remind and teach myself of how to drive well and safe. Great video! P.S Also a tip to people who are about to have their exams. I had number 9 happen to me when I totally forgot to put a car in gear on a hill before moving off. I know it may be hard, but the best thing to do is not panic and rev your car aimlessly because you won't go forward anyway! If you start rolling back, break to a stop and secure a car with a handbrake. Then take your time to see what went wrong. Once you figured it out, start again! That's what I did and it saved me a fail :D
Sadly i drive an old, 87 Fiero with original engine in it. As much as your videos helped me learn to drive a manual, i wish i could find a teacher with an older classic car :( It needs a little extra help in certain areas, like taking off etc. It stalls much easier lol I imagine because the engine is old. Love the video, thanks for the tips. I wouldn't own my car today if it weren't for your videos
It shouldn't be too much different. Maybe this video will help: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UdTSRBJrw7Y.html PS Ronald Finger did some great videos on the Fiero.
@@ConquerDriving Thanks a bunch! And I agree. I watched his entire series! Learned quite a bit from him, as my car was also a fixer upper lol He seems like a fun lad
I'm not from the UK but central Europe, but I wanted to say how great your videos are, I have been learning how to drive for 3 years and I finally passed two weeks ago on my first try. I still can't believe I managed to pass 😅. Now I hope I'll get better and better and really become a good driver, so your videos will still be really helpful to me. It's very important to me that I become a really good driver if possible. Thanks for doing all of this! 😊
Number 2 roundabout one is exact reason I failed first test. Easily done if there’s a lot going on at once but still a mistake you can’t make so fair enough
I thought going too slowly would be in there, I got 2 minors for it in my own test last week but passed overall. Also got 2 minors for missing chances to turn. But it feels safer to wait if you aren’t sure.
Thankyou for the videos been watching and revising over and over again and guess what with your fountain of knowledge and the information you provided I finally passed my driving test and it was an independent driving without satnav proper nerve racking when I heard I wasn't gonna use the satnav. The examiner kept saying breath,, take your time, relax no need to worry lol
0:07 Ineffective junction observations 2:49 Mirrors when changing directions/lanes 4:16 Improper steering control (including road positioning while turning) 7:37 Incorrect positioning when turning right at junctions 10:05 Moving off unsafely (poor observations or decisions) 11:45 Response to traffic lights 13:21 Lack of control moving off - rolling back, repeated stalling 14:23 Poor positioning in your lane 15:47 Incorrect response to road signs n marking 16:50 Reverse park - poor accuracy/control or observations
@@ConquerDriving I don’t know how I feel about it Iv just got home with a fail, the traffic lights just changed to amber going on red I diddnt feel it was safe to stop because the cats so close up behind me but he slammed on .
Thank you so much for your videos, they are a massive help to us all, and thanks to you and my instructor, I was able to pass first time today with only 1 minor!
I failed yesterday because of low speed on countryside road and signaling too early. It was rainy and I was driving at 30-38 mph on the countryside road. I signaled 3 times early, one of them there was a short line on the sat nav, I didn't think it would be a junction, so I signaled then cancelled it and re-signaled again after passing it. The second signaling was wrong, I didn't notice it. The third one was 300yds before a roundabout but there was no junctions before it.
I'm sorry to hear that, maybe these videos can help: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BjizAG0ulSk.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-n9u_hqfpj9k.html I wish you the best of luck with your next test.
Have my test in 3 hrs will update. Update: I passed! 2 minors, mirrors (over exaggerate your head turning to check them!) and not slowing down from 70-40 due to road works in time
I have my test in the morning haha perfect timing. some last min tips! (The next morning) guys I passed with only 2 minors. Forgot that fog lights are supposed to be turned on with 100m or less visibility and I forgot to put on the handbrake when finished🙄🤦🏽♂️
Yes u r right i fail my test for mirrors on junction and observation in junctions in 27 of june now looking for new test date but no dates are available in website ..really tensed
I almost passed first time thanks to these videos, 2 minors but then on the last corner i missed a car in my front blindspot coming onto the roundabout and got a serious driving fault, i've never done that before over 1500 miles of learning with family members and it has to happen on the test, better luck next time i guess.
@@ConquerDriving You've been a great subistute for a in person driving instructor as due to the lack of driving lessons atm, i've been learning entirely via my parents who as much as they want to help don't know the test, so these videos have invaluable for making sure i know everything the test requires of me.
The reason for the stop sign being at what you call a "ridiculous" height is that it had to be mounted above the road, legally that requires that it be at least 16 feet 6 inches above the carriageway same as the minimum for an unmarked bridge, if there was a footpath for it to be above it would only need to be 11 feet up. Imposing a height restriction on a road just to put a sign lower might be seen by anyone needing access with a tall vehicle (bus, removal lorry, dustbin wagon, farm equipment, etc.) as even more ridiculous.
UK driving rules and tests are ridiculously stringent. 99% of people just learn the rules for the test and then forget about them when they start driving because the rules are totally over the top which makes people dismiss them as nonsense. I believe the pedantic-ness actually makes people worse drivers.
I think it depends who teaches you, I wouldn't say I'm pedantic and neither is the test. Although there are a few things they are a bit too strict about in my opinion.
I failed today on my first attempt. He gave me a serious fault at a junction where you cross the first side of a dual carriageway to the middle and stop then cross the second side. The examiner said that I didn’t check to the left at all but I absolutely did. I checked the right, it was completely clear, I moved to the middle after checking that nobody was crossing from the other side to come into the road I was coming from, I stopped completely, checked to the left - I remember thinking it was really uncomfortable looking past the examiner! - and there was again absolutely nobody so I pulled out. I think he maybe didn’t see me check the middle bit which isn’t a full on turn of the head to the left. There was no car anywhere on that road and I even remember thinking how unusual it was! I thought I’d failed later on for forgetting to take the handbrake off after parking up on the left (my husband’s car which I’ve been doing a ton of practising in) has an automatic brake plus I’d had to wait so long for the road to get clear I was stressing!) I only got a minor though. So I was sure I’d failed but didn’t for one minute expect it to be that junction because I’d been so very careful with all my observations at every junction. I got 4 minors and that one serious fault.
Hello, I’ve got a test coming up next month and I’m unsure about going into bus lanes when not in operation. My instructor has told me that if a bus lane isn’t in operation and I don’t go in it, then it’s a fail. He says this is because the bus lane should be treated as a normal left lane when not in use, and also may show to the examiner that you’re not reading road signs. However, others I’ve spoken to, some passed too, have not heard of this or have been told to avoid bus lanes altogether. What are people’s views on this? Thank you so much! :)
It depends if it's a dual carriageway. If it's a dual carriageway then you should be in the left lane unless you are overtaking or need the lane for your intended direction.
Just to let you know, I watch most of these by casting to my TV, and the little cards don't appear. It would be helpful if you could also put links to those videos in your descriptions. Thanks for all your work!
