Kind of surprised Thunder Dragon Colossus wasn't here, since it's most often summoned by it's contact fusion effect of a tributing one Thunder monster after a thunder monster's effect is activated in the hand on the same turn.
@@xCorvus7x I dont think its about "counting" Colossus Is good but its not a versatile as these other cards. It could be limited or Semi'd and it would barely matter.
@@ib5131 Probably because it's not as generic. Cyber Dragon Infinity had seen generic success because other archetypes could go into Nova. How many other archetypes can reasonably go into Thunder Dragon Colossus?
@@ninjawaffle44 Took me a sec to find the card because Yugioh spelled "Nemesis" incorrectly (surprise) and it's not "Condor" but "Corridor". I suspect Auto Correct screwed you on that. Looking at the card, it certainly can work as a generic option for going into Thunder Dragon Colossus. But that also requires that the deck innately likes to banish its own cards as well. And there's not a lot of archetypes that do that.
Top 10 non-union archetypes that put their monsters in the back row. Bonus points for "union but better" type effects like Dragunity, Magistus, Superheavy Samurais, Cyberdark, Destruction Sword, Inzektors, Infernoble Knights, the Claw of Hermos fusions, Therion, Plunder Patroll, and ZW's
@BBoy3phect They would fit, too. I was just listing the ones that can function similar to union monsters by equipping monsters to other monsters. Artifacts and Crystal Beasts are a couple of others that put monsters in the back row without equipping them.
@cococrisp2288 I just like trying to figure out if there are enough for a top 10 list. Plus, I don't play yugioh that much anymore, so I couldn't begin to try and rank how good any of them are.
@@zeo4481 Assuming you hard draw into the Kaiju, you still have to beat them after getting rid of their tower or they OTK you with Happiness or just summon another one. That's also assuming you play through all the hand traps and QP spells they throw at you.
If he hadn't straight up decided to not put any of the banned cards on this list, it would've been dominated by them: Elpy, Meow Mu, Colossus, Mermaid, Linkross, Drident & Broadbull, and Utopic Zexal are all banned cards that fit this category.
ZEUS was a mistake. Way too many decks can just do a 2-3 Activation Zeus and you cant buff underperforming archetypes that only have ZEUS as their saving grace because making a ZEUS Spam deck stronger never ends well :D
Interestingly enough, i think cyberse decks are more interesting than dragon link I recognize there can be different lists and engines in dragon link. But it all feels very samey, whereas i feel a lot of cyberse decks still have a lot of character whether theyre salad, mathmech, code talkers, ect. Whereas dragon links decks never feel any different from just dragon link
@@peteryanes3413He also didn’t write the video. Check the description. Besides, he’s talked about Colossus and Drident and Mermaid plenty in other stuff.
@@trippersigs2248 He's seemed to dumb down after more script writers took over. Like how he said that tg warwolf and striker was used to make naturia beast when tg control was good deck. Which is not possible. A lot of things he has been recently talking about (around 6-8 months) have easy to notice mistakes or aren't considering better cards. He stopped listing certain cards but there have been hundreds of new and good ones that he has rarely/never talked about.
not even a day after this video uploaded and we got a counterpart of aa-zeus funny thing is im very sure it would've got into this list, due to it being stable card with good effect
Despite my preference for Magical Muskets, I fully expected Max to not cut it for this list. That said, I'm surprised Meow-Mu didn't make it. Its primary function is being a Link-1 in a deck where everything floats when used as material, and it's also got a GY protection effect.
at number 1, zeus, you forget the most critical part. it says "when an XYZ monster battled", so basically ANY XYZ monster, your or Your opponent, battled, you can call zeus. Basically if you afraid to crash your XYZ monster, crash other monster to an opponent's XYZ monster to count the battle, then you can RANK UP ZEUS from your XYZ Monster.
Individually the Zoodiacs are kinda ok.. but as soon as you use the entire Arsenal they quickly become an overwhelming force.. especially once ZEUS released and allowed Zoodiacs to easily make one with 6+ Materials. They definetly deserved a Spot on the list to represent the Archetype. Then again they are on so many lists maybe he added them to his internal banlist of cards that only are allowed to appear once in a while hehe
I like TheDuelLogs' Top 10s. They may be short videos (15-25 minutes), but each entry on the list gets a summary of the history of how the card is/was used in the metagame as well as any history of plays that made it hit the banlist at any point.
@@AdonanS There are 2-6 hour long true crime videos and entire dissections of old TV shows on here, so I'd consider this mid sized, but short in comparison.
His content is honestly a better introduction to Yugioh than any official tutorial or starter product. These videos tell it how it is, informing players about why certain cards and principles are good, providing translatable skills to real play.
I use Zeus in my Harpie deck. Given their archetypal Soul Charge in Hysteric Party, getting the 3 material for Harpie's Pet Phantasmal Dragon is near effortless. On top of that, it can attack directly, giving you an opportunity to summon Zeus with 2 activations on some of the most stubborn boards out there
Good and cool video When there ever gonna be top 10 best things like Top 10 best dragon monsters Top 10 best dinosaur monsters Top 10 best cyberse monsters Top 10 best flip monsters Top 10 best link monsters (not link rating like link 4 3 2 1 monsters)
You should do a video on the cards used most in decks not for their archetype or just most used single cards. Like early yugioh DAD was in almost any dark deck and then moving forward you can say artifact Scythe. Like non staple cards, cus ash blossom isn’t really apart of a deck just a generic good card not intended for an archetype.
One of my favorite things to do in YGO before I stopped playing entirely was to set up a Magnificent Map, use it's effect to summon one Floo, but not use it's effect, normal summon another Floo, not use it's effect, and then XYZ climb into a ZEUS. For funsies, I would always try to make one of the birds be Robina, and she'd be my "Gundam Pilot." It was hilarious, because people didn't realize that Floo could use the ED for some powerful bosses. I personally had two lines to climb. The XYZ climb for Zeus, and the Link climb to go into Avramax or Accesscode, depending on what the board-state was.
Why not linkurkibour not on this list In your top 10 level 1 link monster You said that linkurkibour was better than linguriboh that why linkurkibour was number 10 list
Lot of lists lately where I'm thinking I'm gunna see magical musketeer max on them. After watching though, makes sense he's not here. Still want my boy to see the light a little more though.
Kind of surprised Zelantis didn't make the list, but I guess it technically isn't as generic as some of the other cards on this list. You can make it with any Link 4, but it's banish effect is only useful if you lock yourself into Water monsters first.
Seems there are a lot of banned cards / repeat offenders (DuelLogs' internal banlist for cards that would otherwise dominate discussion) that would've otherwise taken up most of this list. Guardragon Elpy, Prank-Kids Meow Meow Mu, Thunder Dragon Colossus, Knightmare Mermaid, Linkross (yes it counts considering Dingirsu requires an Orcust Link monster, typically Galatea which is a Link-2 itself), and of course both Zoodiac Drident and Broadbull would probably all be on the list. *EDIT: Utopic Zexal too!* The ones that are actually surprising to not see make the cut are Striker Dragon and Zealantis, but then again this is a VERY competitive list. 1-for-1 summons from the Extra Deck are just kinda crazy. Utopic Draco Future too technically, though the fact you have to make it from Utopic Future makes it really not feel like it.
TBH I think most fusion monsters should count the spell cards used for the summon as a material you also need the corresponding spell card, so you actually need two cards to summon dark law as example, hence two materials. Contrast this to any 1 material XYZ or link 1 monsters that don't require any additional cards in play to summon
I don't know..... many of the cards in this list TECHNICALLY count as 2 materials due to how, before you get to the point of summoning them, you needed more than 2 materials to get there. As in: You need 2 materials for both ZEUS, Dingirsu, and Cyber Dragon Infinity (respectively, 2 materials to summon the Xyz monster that will then rank up to become Zeus, 2 materials to link summon the galatea that will become Dingirsu, and 2 cyber dragons that will later become infinity) Instantly disqualifying it from the list. THAT or making the list's name more "Top 10 extra deck monsters than can be summoned with 1 monster on the field (that are not link 1 monsters)"
Special Mention to the Thunder Dragon Colossus. This fusion is still banned in Tcg and it's need to be mention because it's any Thunder when a thunder monster have be activated that turn from hand, can be make by any Thunder is so generic, Nemeses Corridor is a example of be very abusable. Cannot be destroy by battle and cards effects by banishing the thunder eath time on resolution, Look the opponent to add from deck to hand by a floodgate, and also be a Lv 8 for making Synchro and Xyz, or extend Thunder play to Links. The summon isnt once per turn, multiple Copy will just open the door to be even more abusable. This is for me the Top 0.
@@CdGrifter Traptrix isn't a bad deck , it has won a lot of locals since the release of its structure deck and it has great match up against Kashtira. It's definitely not one if the top but it's no where near being a bad deck .
Top 10 cards that have the potential to draw you a ton of cards…they don’t have to be broken or meta something something…..like elemental hero nebula neos👀
So why was Dark Law so low on the list just because it needed Mask Change when half the list also technically required multiple cards to make too? All of the Xyz technically required at least 3 materials to make, 2 material to make the Xyz (or Link in Dingirsu's case) that they then rank up on top of.
Mr. Logs, I regret to inform you that your description is wrong. You have "4. Kashtira Arise-Heart: (11:33)" and "3. Sky Striker Ace - Kagari: (13:41)" mixed up as it should be the other way around. Now I must ask you... what would Pomu do?
I'm not sure if Extra Deck monsters with an alternate condition to summon themselves on top of other Extra Deck monsters really count as "single material". You're after all using more materials to summon that other monster. Then again, I guess being strict like that about the summoning requirements would make this list indistinguishable from the "Best Link-1 monsters" list.
@@guythat779 Thunder Dragon Colossus is the one that immediately comes to mind that doesn't require another Extra Deck monster. But I'll admit I don't know of other examples.
@@guythat779 The Zoodiarcs are a fair point, I had forgotten about them. But Zeus and Dingirsu require an Extra deck monster for their alternate summoning condition that only require 1 mat. My point is Extra Deck monsters that don't require other Extra Deck monsters to summon themselves with only one material.
So recovering spells from the GY is not good, but a deck that lets you recover multiple Quisk-spells from the GY and allowing you to play them on your opponent's turn without setting them, is OK? "cough" Runiks "cough"
i feel like you are still playing duel links (seeing you talked about this topic includes orcust ex top tier in duel links) but you didnt show any gameplay of it for some reason
Slightly disappointed that this list isn't "Top 10 One Material Extra Deck Monsters (that aren't Link Monsters)" Link natively has 1 Card Materials with their Link 1s. It's much less common for the other extra deck options.
'Balelynx cries in a corner.' I make an arguments that all the salads meet one material requirements with sanctuary. Imo they could make this list as one spot, but more importantly Collosus, the zoodiacs (specifically broadbull and drident), and zealantis should probably be here over linguriboh and such mostly cause most the ones on this list are legal while the zoos and collosus arent
I'm honestly disappointed at the fact that Thunder Dragon Colossus wasn't even mentioned despite being notoriously powerful just for the fact that it is treated as a link 1 fusion monster.
The biggest problem I have with this list is ironically not about the list, but the assertion that Tear's hits were fatal and hold it back from meta relevance. It's just not true. There is enough generic nonsense around to support Tearlament as a meta or rogue deck as the OCG continues to prove and as the occasional blip in the TCG shows.
Your videos are so great. I played yugioh when it first came out in the early 2000s and after coming back through duel links, your videos are such a fun way to learn about new cards. I’ve even grown to upload duel links content and will be doing MD and pack openings too soon. Thanks for all your hard work!
