Wish u had some of these types of vids without swearing. My niece and nephew would love u. But they’re 4 and 5so I don’t want them 2 pick up those types of words
About the soap in the shower. There was this dude who did drop it once. He looked nervous as hell. The rest of us laughed, because we could see he believed that myth
My brother got testicular cancer last year, 25 years old. They removed it and there's no sign of cancer spread anymore, thank you for spreading awareness Larry, greetings from iceland love your content :)
I was in jail for only 12 hours, and I knew it wasn’t a place for me. Hearing all of these stories are inspiring because you turned your life around. If you can do it, I can do it. Thank you Larry.
4 days in county, here. 72 hrs in solitary because the nurse wasnt in to evaluate me before being sent to gen. Worst experience of my life. Didnt eat for 2 days, lights on 24 hrs a day, no book, pen and paper... nothing. No contact at all, not even an awareness of time. That was 2014, never again. Best part was I got sent cause my ex-wife lied about abuse.
Maybe 10 days, but I was eventually cleared. I was treated fairly well, but I was in the Good Behavior unit. We wore blue. Mostly DUI and child support guys. I don't know how anyone handles it for longer. I have respect for that, especially for non violent offenses
Very interesting how you said guards wanted prisoners to fight each other and keep them divided because if everyone united together, taking over the prison would be easy Sounds like what politicians and corporations are doing to humanity.
The tough pill to swallow for many is they do this by mixing up the races. Tgat is what he said. A unified racial group will have less conflict. Now maybe you understand why the border is wide open.
Indeed. Politicians and people in power would be terrified if all people, black, white, hispanic, asian, left wing, center, right wing, gay, straight, etc, all came together. It would cripple their power over us. Half their job is to make sure we're divided, the only thing they really care about is THEM making money, and keeping their power. No matter how much bs they tell you, they care about their power first, and will tell you any bs to keep it. Corporations and politicians don't care about me or you at all. They can and will sell you out.
Except that none of the custodial powers (in or out of prison) are forcing people to fight one another; tribal feuding has been a stain on our species since before there were prisons or governments, and continue regardless of who's in charge of them. And by the way, while I have no doubt the CO's don't want them to try it, the idea that the inmates could "join together and take over the prison" has no long term viability whatsoever; every time prisoners attempt that sort coup they either get beaten senseless by the guards, or get gassed and/or shot by state reinforcements, and the survivors are locked down by force. Like it or not, the state holds the power, and it is the holders of the reigns of power who define the parameters of the state. No civilian population has any chance of overwhelming their nation's military, and I can't think of a single actual-revolution in history that hasn't been utterly disastrous.
RESPECT is huge in prison. I was 23 when i got off the bus and the thing that stood out the most that week, was the respect amongst inmates. What I've learn, was respect is yours to lose and if u address a situation as soon as it happens most of the time it goes no further.
Larry, I want to thank you for making these videos and stopping me from doing something illegal that would put me in jail if it's traced back to me and my associate. Making money fast is tempting, but watching your life go by stuck in a cage and putting your family through hell is not worth it. Thank you for telling everyone how bad prison life can be and it's best to stay on the right side of the law.
I used to be a corrections officer, until I couldn't take the corruption anymore and the mistreatment of inmates being ignored and swept under the rug. Gotta say this is all 100% spot on. I worked in seg and we had to do daily cell shakedowns, obviously and I found very few shanks in my time. That told me that they were always on the inmate's person.
Larry, you're a born storyteller and you have the gift and inclination to share your experiences with others. Hopefully, the wisdom you drop will help people stay out of prison altogether or at least help them stay safe if they do go in. Love the channel stay safe!
You know what's funny is cyanide and happiness did a short where a guy beat the biggest dude in prison the other inmates beat that guy up and basically said what larry said "who the fuck you think you are?"
You honestly remind me of my best friend's dad, he went to prison for some years and now he is just a normal every day person and I really respect him and you.
I'm a former CO, but I was working a medium security state prison at our prison's intake, which is a barracks unit, and the respect thing is absolutely true, even from COs to inmates. You respect them, within reason of course, then you earn report from everyone who sees you giving respect.
@@rubend9391 Sounds about right. In my country, the previous government was corrupt, so a lot of people in prisons got subjected to literal torture, most notable cases being guards raping young prisoners with broom sticks. That's when I realized I'd rather just stay irrelevant and not go to prison.
Love this channel. Never been to prison and I hope I never do, but it's always interesting to learn from an expert on anything, and Mr. Lawton is an expert. My biggest takeaway overall is a reminder of how important it is to treat the people around you with respect, anywhere you are in life. Will continue to watch and learn.
Bullshit this system is SET UP to lock People Up look up Prison Industrial Complex that ought to Teach ya something...(CCA)CORRECTIONS CORPORATION OF AMERICA Get to know it and know it WELL!!!!.
@@anthonysvenforsic4760 Well I wouldn’t be too hasty if I were you cause one day your time might come and you know the Elites don’t give a Flying Fuck about who gets Affected or Not...You’ve been Lucky so far but I’m just saying..
My wife's ex boyfriend passed away from testicular cancer sadly at the age of 27. So did another one of my friends Chris. Who died at 23.... rest in peace young men.
They never guessed something is wrong? Normale you just get that ball clipped and maybe extra chemotherapy. Often not a "death sentence", at least in my homecountry.
Yeah he doesn't know about other prisons. U bend over in front of the booty bandit. Yeah your getting it😅😂. He says, booty is better then food. Look up the booty bandit on lock up raw. The guards feared this man of being raped😅😂
Thank you for sharing this. As a former CO, I get these questions all the time. I can also attest to the fact that prison is not a good place for ANYONE, including the COs. We used to call it doing time on the installment plan. Good luck to you. Glad you are out and away from that shit!
I always thought the myth that you should pick a fight with the biggest guy on the first day was dumb as hell and a great way to get your ass killed or put in a coma. Everyone knows that the proper way to assert dominance is to T-Pose.
Man, I busted out laughing on #1 and my first thought was "That'll get your ass fucking killed!!!" Two seconds later, Larry says "That'll get your ass fucking killed!" I guess it's true what they say, great minds think alike.
As a CO for three years, I can backup everything you said. 100% accurate on all accounts. I’ve personally never segregated offenders by race. That was left to the classification staff, but trust and believe me when I say this. Anybody that says custody staff control the prison is a fool. There were about 50 of us and 2000 offenders. Who really controls the prison. Lol.
Great 1 hour show about the 1993 Ohio prison riot on Netflix, can't remember the name right now, remember that the first thing that happened was 7 snitches got pulled out of their cells and beat to death by inmates with baseball bats
One snitch was killed by having a metal pipe driven through how head. At least two were dismembered from what I've read. When the cops came in, they were wondering why the prisoners and taken sides of beef from the kitchen and hung them up in a cell blood. It wasn't beef, it was human torsos...
I just discovered your channel 2 days ago and I have been binge watching. I'm amazed at your stories and experiences. I think it is incredible that you have taken such a negative part of your life and are using it for good and to help people. You seem like such a genuine good dude and I am so happy that you learned from your past and straightened your life out. I've heard stories my whole life because my father was unfortunately in prison in the 80s and served 5 years in the old Mansfield Prison. He is a great man, he had got busted for marijuana. I have heard horror stories from him and like you have said in past videos about how you can still hear screams, my dad says the same thing. He has said he can still hear the screams and cries of men getting shanked, raped or beaten. Anyway, I have nothing but love and respect for you Larry for what you're doing on this channel. God bless you Larry, stay safe and healthy. ✌
Larry, I always come to listen to your videos when I'm feeling depressed, beat up by life, or hopeless. You are really an inspiration to people that no matter how jacked up your life gets you can turn it around. thank you for inspiring me to push forward every day, and some days I have o remind myself that no matter how jacked up my life is there are people who have got it worse. Thanks, Larry, Keep it up
Thank you for the cancer psa Larry, my brother had it when he was young and nearly died. It's a very preventable cancer and the message is important to get out there.
When I lived in Phoenix from 92-96 and I truly felt safer because everybody had a gun. Nothing but love and respect from Brookfield Connecticut brother, keep up the amazing work!!!
Watching your videos for a few days now, and here's what I learned thus far. 1.) A lot more people get away with things like drugs, beatings, and rapes in prison than I imagined. I always imagined prison as a really controlled environment with less of that going on than it appears does. I mostly thought this because of the constant surveilance you'd be under in that environment. 2.) Guards seem to have an inconsistent level of discipline, and self-control. Which seems to prove the Stanford Prison Experiment correct.
I will always go through life now thinking about the consequences of my actions thanks to Larry and what I’ve learnt about prison through his videos because it sounds like one of the worst places imaginable. Thanks Larry.
Larry. Great video. I did 7 years in Leavenworth. All of them were pretty uneventful. I just did my time and didn't get involved in the games. Best advice, you give respect and you get respect.
@@LarryLawtonJewelThiefI'd talk shop with you. Aryan Ciricle, been at USP Florence, Lewisburg and them McCreary after I pissed off Grand Prairie for refusing to do security work at Lewisburg. Spent time at the fucking SMU there. Been out since 2010. Usually don't watch your video because it sets off my PTSD (it's real, no one cares about it though). Fuck, where we at Lewisburg USP at the same time? ... 2009ish? I used to get leftover oil paint from Leonard Pelieter.
How bout just end your shower and leave it on the floor? I think I'd prefer to miss cleaning a few of my body parts than experience a surprise backdoor visit!
Man I remember andrew. Regardless, it's great that you are doing what you are doing. Life after prison can be pretty bad, and i think it's great that you are doing public outreach in a form that can actually get thru to people. It's quite brilliant really and you should feel a lot of pride in what you do. Thank you.
Every time I see your channel pop up I get a little smile seeing how well your channel is doing. I remember like 2 or 3 years ago(probably longer) watching you channel with like 60-70k subs and thinking that it wouldn't be long until you were into the 7 digits. Keep it up man you've earned it.
Iran has evin prison where they put people in a white room, wearing white clothes, eating white rice, in a white plate. And u don’t see colors for several years and they go insane
Everytime i listen to you talk about what happened at a certain year i think, what did i do at that time and it blows my mind every time. Love your stories Larry
Hey Larry, I just wanted to thank you for your awesome content. I had covid back in january till february and while quarantined for nearly a month I would watch your videos religiously. Which truly helped me during those rough times and truly thankful for you. Love the humor and cool videos! I try my hardest to be good and not go to prison... wasn't able to see my gal for a month and it felt like hell. I don't wanna know what it's like to go to prison.. Love ya lots Larry! Ray from Miami.
Thanks so much Larry for bringing up the testicular cancer. I had on removed, it didn't spread and at 69 still get a decent chubby. Guys listen to Larry regarding this subject. Believe me , a stiff rid is the last thing on your mind when you're told you have cancer. Fantastic job Larry, as always.
My 38-year-old son is in prison for Meth and gun possession, he got 10 years. As a mother, I feel like outside of serious illness or death of a child this is the worst thing that could happen. I feel like all the joy has been sucked away and replaced with anxiety, guilt, and grief. It just sucks so so bad!
If he was caught up with those things, he could have died. So while I'm sure it's of little comfort, you have to remember that 10 years in prison can just be a chapter in what could be a long and fruitful life. Hopefully he gets through the experience and is able to learn from it. All the best with your situation.
You did a really good sponsorship for manscape... I’ve seen other people on RU-vid do a portion of their video who sponsored manscape and it in no way even compares to yours. Manscape needs to definitely give you a lot of money 💰! Love your videos , I am sure that they have helped many people. You seem like a honestly good person. Wishing you continued success for the rest of your life.
Christmas 2019 I had one of my testicles removed due to cancer. Thanks for bringing some attention to it, I feel like you did it with a good balance of humor and seriousness :D It's not like a bad cancer, it's just scary. And then when you gotta talk about it, and everyone gets awkward because you use the word "testicle". xD
Thanks for spreading awareness on testicular cancer Lar, I’m 24 n never thought of it that way I’m gonna start checking myself monthly , much love brother
Good video, dude. Thankfully, I don't lead any kind of life that puts me at odds with the law or puts me at risk of going to prison. It's good to see a former inmate who appears to have put their life together and gotten on a better path. Congrats on that.
I had a friend in prison drop his soap in the shower, he said "dammit" and bent down and picked it up. As soon as he stood up, he intentionally dropped it and said "Oh, not again....". We were all laughing so hard
Preface to a few related questions: for years (even before this pandemic), I had told my students the worst place to be in a pandemic is points of travel (airports, airlines, ships, etc) and institutions (schools, day care centers, long term care and of course prisons). Aside from this pandemic, does the system vaccinate prisoners on processing into the system? Do they provide annual flu vaccines and how does the prison system deal with infectious outbreaks.
I don't know what made me click on this, but you reeled me right in, man. I think I could listen to you talking about almost anything on earth--I learned about tessiscula cancer, man-grooming, prison psychology, human nature, and somehow felt really 'edified' by this. My friends are not going to understand when I share this on FB, but given where I'm from (New Orleans), I suspect this could be useful information to more people than I expect. You are awesome. :)
Hey Larry I stumbled on your channel by accident man I really enjoy your content and seeing a former convict doing positive work after prison I am actually a corrections officer in georgia at Ware state prison but Just wanted to say keep it up man 💯
I'm so happy the hit the big guy thing wasn't true. I'm 6'4" and at the time was 280 lbs .That was back when I had to spend a few times to Cook County jail (had a drinking and drug problem for a few decades, have been clean and sober for over 15 years now though). I was almost always the biggest guy in the cell block and every time I had to go in, everyone would call me big show after the wrestler. So glad nobody came up and just hit me because I was big...that would have ruined my experience at the hotel California haha. New sub here as I've been enjoying your content, Thanks!
