Nice to See Pucket on the list nice to see 1981 Henderson , I like the 1982 Cal Ripken better than the minor league card the 1980 Rickey Henderson is a better card than his 1981 card but it's nice to see his 81 card!!! no problems with Griffey being in 10th place..

I agree. It looks to be an older slab. My guess is that it would not get a 10 by today's PSA standards. Although they do allow the back to be slightly off-center. I could never understand why. If it's supposed to be a "perfect" card, how can it be off-center on the back and still get a 10???

Thanks for compiling and sharing, John. Bonds and McGwire still popular with collectors despite their PED usage. The Ripken minor league card is a beautiful color card. Did not know about the Topps mini card set produced in Canada. Reminds me of the 75 set.

My pleasure Kevin. I didn't know about the 85 Topps Mini either until I came across that Schmidt sale. Maybe they did it as a 10-year anniversary to the 75 minis??? Would have liked it if Boggs was included in the set, but he isn't.

So do I. I need to start picking up some graded cards from the 80s. The only ones I have are either Boggs or ones that I need to complete a player run.

Interesting! No 1980 Rickey rookie or 1989 UD Griffey rookie in the top 10. As someone who acquired most of his 1970s and '80s cards at least 20 years ago, I was interested to see half of these high-sellers with certs from that era. I was hoping to see a specific, exact PSA 10 that had passed through my hands all those years ago (I have certs of sold cards in my records). Not this time!

A 1980 Henderson in a PSA 9 goes for about $1,600 ($1,900 on the high end) and a PSA 10 89 Upper Deck Griffey goes for around $2,100 - $2,250. So even though those cards sell fairly regularly, it's usually not high enough for them to crack the Top 10.

@@cryptonite8495 A PSA 10 Henderson rookie would definitely be the #1 card on any Top 10 list from the 80s. They go for around $130,000! 😲
