At 75, and taking anti-psychotic tablets following abuse 30+ years ago, plus nervous of travel, I will not ever take an Ayahuasca ceremony! However, listening to your videos I know that I love the plant and the plant Teacher associated with her. This love draws me relatively close to her, and that is all I need. Thank you.

There are so many charlatans in the spiritual community (obviously, because people seeking spiritual guidance are often very vulnerable people, so it attracts the vultures). Thanks for these informative videos! When I first heard of ayahuasca, I was terrified by the idea of it due to having emetophobia, which is the debilitating phobia of vomiting. I have struggled with this fear since I was 9 & it has caused social anxiety as well as keeping me from wanting children or traveling for the most part. However, I wonder if doing one of these ceremonies some day could actually help to cure my phobia or the root issues surrounding it? What are your thoughts on this particular circumstance? Thank you! 🤗

I had never done any psychedelics before I did Ayahuasca the first time. I had extremely powerful Aya sessions and I don't think it woyld have helped if I had prior experience. I also have had powerful/scary psilocybin and san pedro ceremonies. You don't need to do psychedelics before (because they all feel different from eachother.). The no 1 most important thing during a Aya session is to work with a great and experienced schaman. They will help you throughout the ceremony. If you have a scary ceremony, it's the schaman that will help you turn it to a good one.

Sugar and coffee and cacao is a drug which means it’s over consumed and used inappropriately (not for it’s holy intended use, therefore corrupt). These were used in rituals for healing until certain addictive type people tricked, stole, patented and turned it into an everyday several times a day staple. The disrespect is that people would use it as such.I’m sure the true cultural natives aren’t worried about it being called a drug so much. They just really don’t like “greedy” cultures that have a habit of turning an ancient “secret” ritual into a fad. I really believe ayahuasca falls in that same category and should NOT be mainstreamed. It should be a personal journey only a few chosen should experience. 🙏🏾

Christina, you cannot claim that ayahuasca isn't a drug, when its counterpart DMT, as you mentioned, is a psychedelic that creates altered states of consciousness. It is a mind altering substance, AKA, a drug! Ayahuasca as a plant teacher still has its similarities to other plant teachers. Someone could have an unpleasant experience with LSD or magic mushrooms and gain important wisdom from it in the same way that someone does with ayahuasca or DMT. Ayahuasca is certainly harsher in comparison, but that also comes with its own wisdom and revelation. Point being, ayahuasca is still a drug. It is not offensive, it is a literal fact of substance.

Hi! Friendly debate here ❤️ at first glance I both agreed and DISagreed with you.. I googled the difference between drug and medicine and the result was that “Drugs take away control of your body and mind from you. Medicines reverse this and restore the control back to you” now while I think anyone could argue Aya might not be easy to control I would absolutely classify it in my mind as medicinal and not a recreational drug
@ItsAllGodAnyway
@ItsAllGodAnyway 2 года назад

Treatment centers are not necessary. That’s like saying you need to go to a place of worship to know God. Everything is one and connected. That being said, this is not a recreational drug and is part of the same consciousness as our human bodies. All of these are limiting beliefs. If one knows their True Self and what that really means, there is nothing to fear drinking this tea to get more acquainted with God within. So many of these so called retreat centers have been trumped up to appeal to Western audiences and culture.

Also only people with $$$ can afford to go to another country to do this. I would love to try plant medicine but how does an average person who lives paycheck to paycheck pay for a plane ticket and the retreat? Answer: we can't. Therefore we will just never have the experience of visiting with this mother plant. And that's a shame. 😞
