Top 10 reasons NOT to move to Miami. #1 is a no-brainer.
Miami isn't as bad of a city as it used to be in the 1980s. It still isn't the best.
This list is about some things you should know before moving to Miami, Florida.
If you like beaches, good places to eat, and very diverse cities, Miami might be what you are looking for.
If you don't like the beach, tan people, and spicy food, don't go to Miami.
Florida has some great cities Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, and Daytona Beach. Life in Florida is a little more laid back and relaxed than in other states. Miami and its beaches are a great place to catch up on some of that relaxation.

I grew up in Miami and am lucky enough to have stayed here for college. NGL almost everything you said it pretty true. However, just like every where else in the world, Miami has its positives and negatives and these are the clear negatives. IN MY OPINION (EVEN though i am biased as hell) I think the positives still outweigh the negatives, and I really do hope I can stay living here. Also I have never considered Miami/South Florida part of the whole "FLORIDA" stereotype. It's a whole different world out here. Florida is the only place in America where you need to go north to see the south.

Like anywhere else, it's what you make of it. I've lived in Washington, DC most of my life and I think people here are just as rude if not ruder. Too many people up here look at you like a walking resume. Oh and if you think Miami is expensive, you should see DC! It's a good 20% more expensive than Miami of not more. And it's about to get pricier with Amazon second headquarters coming to town. And don't get me started on the traffic. DC and Miami are equally bad in my experience but we get snow and ice up here along with a ton of people who suck at driving in it. Whether or not it a step up or step down compared to where you used to live is up to you to decide.

Miami beat those overexpensive cold north cities Id rather live in Miami. Then new york. Boston. Washington. Indianapolis. Chicago etc The only bad point about miami are the storm season & that florida water are full of sharks compared to other waters. Althoe you have to be very unlucky to get bited by one And wtf people judging people in that city are rude. This and that 😂 its all about your personality...if youre sociable and cool to be around. You will get friends. Where ever you are....and its up to you to do the first step if you want to make friends...dont expect people running to you to be your friends

Miami was a small town in the late 40's with 2, then 3 TV channels that went off the air after the late news. Many of the AM radio stations played country music and there was only one FM radio station but not stereo. We were able to tune our AM radios to the same station as the FM station and we had stereo programs. The schools were very strict and if the student disobeyed they would notify the parents and the kid was in for a whipping when he got home. When the Cuban people began arriving in the late 50's and 60's they opened numerous businesses of all types and Miami started to become a very metropolitan town. It was really nice back then before all the tall condo buildings began going up! "Miami Nice" Walt

I've been to NYC (very dirty), however, NYC has 8 million people compared to half million in Miami. Also, the building are tightly adjacent to each other, hence the garbage is placed in front of the buildings during the evening for pickup. Miami on the other is expanding like Jacksonville, plenty of space. Plus old people loitering, drinking coffee, smoking cigars and spitting on the streets. Let's not forget the homeless meandering and most of them are refugees.

Me and my wife went to Miami for 5 days. It was out worst vacation by far. The people were rude and self centered. The people had a really bad attitude. The customer service was the worst I've ever experienced. I went to a bar / restaurant and the lady literally never gave us a menu, when we did get one, she never brought us the food. Then she yelled at me for getting mad at them. I've never been to a place where they don't even bring you the food and menu! I had a $200 dollar dinner and the experience was just average! People honk at everything. People move to the city for the Amenities. Miami has none. There was literally nothing to do and the few things you could do closed really early. The price for everything was way too high for shitty service or value they provided. The hotel took our deposit 3 times and never refunded it and this was the first time out of all the places I visited that did that. Oh yeah and they are uneducated and voted Republican!

Briggs You nailed Miami like a true native! Unfortunately the negatives out weigh the positive. Traffic, humidity. Try breathing in 100% heat with 100% humidity in July through September...

I once saw a huge RV leaving Miami on the back of the RV was this sign, “ Will the last American leaving Miami please bring the Flag.” Above the sign was of course the American flag. After spending a mere weekend there I soon understood the message.

I could never understand why people hate tourists so much. They’re just people who are in town for a visit. If you visit another state then you’re also a tourists yourself. I live in New York and we have plenty of tourist. Nothing to complain about

Everyone is talking about the Hispanic population which Miami does have a lot of. But here u also find many Haitians, Jamaicans and people from all over the Caribbean. The diversity is one of the positive things about Miami.

I have lived here since 1972 so I know exactly where to live, shop, where to visit and travel around. I am a Teacher and also have my own Cruise Travel Agency. I am also a Disney Travel Agent. Many of the things you said may be true to a certain extent BUT doesn't apply all the time or to all people. Thanks for the video!

Cool video. Most of your observations were spot on, in my opinion. A couple of things though. It doesn’t actually get into that triple digits in the summer. It’s very hot and humid, but also surrounded by water which limits the temperature. The heat index is a different story. Also, it is really expensive to live in Miami, but there’s no state income tax. If you’re coming from someplace like New York or California, it could be a huge factor. Peace.

1. Everyone is actually rude. 2. Miami is expensive, as is every large U.S. city. 3. Traffic does suck. 4. The hottest day recorded ever in Miami is 100 degrees, never has the city seen triple digits for "weeks at a time." 5. The only beach that gets wild during spring break is South Beach, Miami has several other nice beaches.

Been in Miami 10 years, and honestly the #10 ''rude people'' should be the number 1 reason not to move here, the amount of rude low class non educated people is unbelievable then you have the rude superficial people with money botox and plastic surgery also, don't forget the rude non-English speaking latin people that think Miami is part of Cuba and give you attitude when they see you're not Latin and don't speak Spanish is just absolutely absurd, luckily in the recent years Miami is becoming more diverse as more Americans from other states are moving here, Europeans Russians and other diverse ethnicities, besides all this everything in this video is totally accurate!
