Yeldon and Gurley are definitely the best NFL style running backs in the nation, and I think you might see a few more from UGA on here in the future. They have some of the best depth at the running back position that I've ever seen. In fact, they just got another 4 star (5 star?) running back in this class. Alabama has some damn good depth too with Kenyon Drake.

Yeah it's pretty cool, Alabama has had that deal going on since 07!! :D About to be like that again this year when one of our freshmen show out with Yeldon.

A "Top 10 Running Backs of College Football 2013 (REVIEW)" would be a pretty cool video to make now, for contrast of the two lists. I would imagine Andre Williams and Tre Mason would be locks for the new list. But it would be cool to see how much the list would change. Maybe even a Kapri Bibbs honorable mention, I mean dude did go out score 31 TD on the ground this year...

Nice vid... Todd Gurley is a great back and the best in the nation and im a Clemson fan so have to say im kinda anxious to see what happens Aug. 31st... He reminds me kinda like Trent Richardson.

Thats why l said future NFL star. We all know he is done playing college football. Look at Adrian Peterson, a year after he tore his acl he had an amazing season and became MVP.

1.Thomas- Best APB I have ever seen 2.Gurley- Reminds me a lot of Trent Richardson 3.Yeldon- Reminds me of a less physical Adrian Peterson 4.Seastrunk- Reminds me of Ray Rice and Doug Martin I Ranked Thomas #1 because he is the best playmaker in college football. What he lacks in size he makes up for in speed and elusiveness, and no one at the RB position even compares to him in the receiving part of the game.

Canzeri for the Iowa hawkeyes runs a 4.33 and 3.85 shuttle according to Bleacher Report. He averaged 7.3 yards per carry last 5 games on 50 carries.

You are absolutely right the SEC boasts the best NCAA defenses the last 10 years of all time as such have put up the best tests for running backs, Yeldon though is going to impress all this year and is simply the best for 2013-2014 season!!

No question, he averaged 7 yards per carry tearing up Nebraska, Michigan and a few. He will be someone to watch 2014 for sure as an upcoming junior.

Having the best stats doesn't necessarily mean you're the best. Carey really struggled against the Pac-12's best defenses like USC, UCLA, Stanford, and Oregon, and had to carry the ball several times to gain substantial yardage. What hurts is that he ran out of the spread which is supposed to make running against tough defenses easier. He's a good back for sure. But Gurley shredded Alabama's #1 defense, Yeldon shredded Notre Dame's #2 defense, and Thomas shredded every defense, so theyre on top.

First off I'm not an oregon fan but for people who live in the easy coast DAT is pulled by the 2 nd half in almost ever game last season. His game stats are mostly from one half of play

my opinion correct me if im wrong... Kadeem Carey was leading rusher last year and the way he plays makes him an easy top 3 RB, not a very powerful runner but is quick explosive and elusive he can make guys miss easy

To be a runningback its not all about speed its also about agility and how well you know the hole you are going through

uh his freshman year he had 4+ 50 yard runs against LSU, he had a 90+yard run+a 60 yard pass against Wisconsin, and multiple kick/punt returns for TD vs various non Pac 12 schools..

Marshall and Gurley are definitely top Dawgs, and Gurley is a Heisman shoe in if healthy. But they can not even tote the jock strap of Sony Michel who is going to be a freshman for the Bulldogs this year, he is unbelievable. What do you expect from Running Back U!

I'm an Oregon fan and I agree with you on every one of those things...but De'Anthony Thomas didn't really shred Stanford's defense all too well :/ And according to either some Oregon haters, or Stanford fans, "Oregon always chokes when they play a good defense". (Correct me if I'm wrong on any of this. I'm a little new to football).

that's odd because todd gurley was the sec rush yards leader in 2012.... and tied for first in rushing td's by a running back... maybe i'm crazy, but i think you need to check your stats

You forgot Knowshon Moreno. And USC is actually called "Tailback U", they've put 34 runnigbacks in the NFL since '65

I'd put Ameer Abudllah over Jeremy Hill, and switch Yeldon with Seastrunk. Other than that great video, refreshing not see Ka'Deem Carey at the top. I think it's very possibly that either Gurley or Seastrunk wins the Heisman this year. Surprising not to see Bishop Sankey ir Silas Redd on the list, but I wouldn't disagree with them being left out.

Negative ghost rider...he ran for 1183 yards and 11 Touchdowns. Far far away from any SEC rushing records.

Ummmm...I'm not sure if you've noticed or not but the two most recent Bama backs,(Richardson and Lacy) are definitely not bust. Just watched the Packers game tonight and Lacy had 120+ rushing yards and at least 1 rushing TD(which was like a 50 yard run btw). And Richardson is a valuable and contributing piece to a potential playoff team and contender in Indianapolis. Just had to inform you.

He may not be a big physical back like Yeldon or Gurley but he's a great Running Back/ Wide Receiver/ Kick & Punt Returner therefore more versatile than either Yeldon or Gurley....

yeldon is quick but isnt as good as previous running backs from Alabama, he has the jukes but he cant run through people like lacy, Richardson, and Imgram did but he could get better he also fumbles the ball sometime in high stake moments of the game

Gurley and Yeldon are like 1a 1b. I'd give the edge to Gurley only because Alabama has such a dominating OL(Mark Ingram says hello)

The Nfl league need to change the rule to help these future running backs get bigger contract.The league need to make it harder for a wide receiver or tight end to reward a pass interference for any little touch.Otherwise these future running will play for peanuts while they are always under the pile.

I see how all the highlights for the chumps are against horrible opponents...except for Seastrunk. Lache will be in NYC at the presentation. Don't know if he will win, but barring major injury, he will be there.

Jeremy Hill carried the ball 5 times in 5 games for 10 yards(5th on depth as a true freshman). He then ran for 744yds/5.4ypc 12TDs in 8 games. Of his opponents, four were in the top 35 in run D, three in the top 20 alone! Ran for over 300 yards and four TDs against three teams in the top 20 run defense IN CONSECUTIVE WEEKS. No other back can claim that! He's 6'2 231 and runs a sub 4.5 yet he's only nine? Neither White, Thomas, or Marshall could be feature backs, yet they are ahead?

Yeah I know, I was just being sarcastic trying to exaggerate how good DAT is, he hasn't really shredded every defense. Oregon doesn't always choke when they play a good defense, they put up 27 points on LSU's #2 ranked defense 2 years ago and 52 on Stanford's 12th ranked D 3 years ago. They don't really get the opportunity to play good defenses because they play in the Pac12

"Teams didn't focus on them til too late????"---so if that analogy were true than Gurley and Marshall's production would have declined as the season went on......You do realize that Alabama played Georgia at the end of the season?? Gurley torched Bama's defense with 122 yds and 2 TDs. Alabama had by far one of the best run defense in the land. Half way point rushing totals for Gurley...... UF- 118yds Ole Miss- 117yds Auburn- 116yds GA Tech- 97yds Bama- 122 yds Nebraska- 125yds......with 8 TDs.
