Not park skated before. I did my first street skate at the weekend. I skate at the rink usually. After watching this video i'm encouraged to have a go. Thanks
coming back to say that the tip about moving your hands towards your back hip when going backwards is a really good one! i tried it when i was skating last night and it helped a lot.
I finally went to the skate park for the first time yesterday because of u :) I watched a lot of ur videos before I came and I feel like I’m already progressing really fast. I really appreciate you !
I like you so much. Thank you for your videos x3 Congratulations!! You are so good. I have learned very well with your tips. I would like you make a video teaching how to make transitions and roll faster. Thank you! Saludos desde México!! 🙌🏻 🇲🇽
It depends on budget, style and foot shape. I have Bont Parkstar roller skates which have great support. They are great for standard to wide feet. If you have narrow then they may feel a little too wide in the toe box
It's really person preference in terms of park roller skates. I like boots with a lot of support which is why I wear the Bont Parkstar boot. I even have it semi-custom for the super stiff option, but that's just me. For wheels, if you are a beginner getting something like a 89a hardness with round edge is better like the Bont Flow Street, but if you want to go faster you can go 99a-101a but they are super hard. Note: I've only skated on Bont products so that's all I know 😅
@@ShortysSkateSeries thank you! I love all your videos. I’m not at your level and will take me a long time to be but all your videos have been super helpful. Can you do more on pumping? I’m really struggling.
Thank you for this video and your channel. My 9 year old wants to learn to quad skate but we live in Indianapolis and don’t have a skate shop that sells quad skates. Do you have a recommendation for skates to get her started? We appreciate any help you can give us.
@@ShortysSkateSeries her goal is skatepark skating. Do they have Bont in kids (she’s 9). Do you have a specific style Bont you recommend for beginner? Appreciate the help!!!
@@vernonfamily2373 Yes they do have kids sizes and the Parkstar boot is best for park skating but the smallest in stock size at the moment is 224 - 228mm. But you could order a semi-custom order and get a smaller size but it is about a 10-12 week wait. You can check out the color range here. If you have any questions, feel free to msg me. bont.com/?ref=shorty06 Also if you use my code SHORTY you get 10% off.
i rlly prefer base ball slide as its the msot eaisest for me to do especially when i jump stairs and i see my self slip out if make it easy to slide on my side to negate the damage ill take lol
Sorry for the delay. So some of the Bont boot models are a wide fit so I suggest using the Bont size chart to see what size you are in the boot model you are looking for. The chart has length and width. Then you can contact Bont and ask if your foot width will fit. Also there are some model that they offer in custom width as well.
Hmm. You should check your wheels to make sure none of them are loose or your trucks could be too loose. Otherwise you can try bending your knees more as it will lower your center of gravity and you'll feel more stable. It's hard to tell without footage so feel free to DM on Instagram @shortstop.6
Hi, sorry for the delay. Do you have some footage you can DM on Instagram or Facebook that I can have a look? If could be your stance or that you are standing up too quickly that you are loosing balance. IG: instagram.com/shortstop.6/ FB: facebook.com/ShortStop.6
