I remember in a trailer for Sword & Sheild back in the day, Corviknight was referred to as "the strongest bird Pokémon in Galar". They weren't kidding.

1:36　Don't forget that Mandibuzz uses Bone Rush to counter Electric types 2:10　I wanted Gyarados to be in the list, and this makes it an honorable mention for the water type Pokemon 2:37　I like it to use Hydro Pump, Hurricane, Ice Fang and Crunch. And I know many should let Gyarados use Earthquake to counter Electric types 10:40　Corviknight is my favorite regional Bird. 11:55　Honorable mentions I think are Crobat (hope it's in the Top ten non legendary Poison), Charizard which is from the Top ten non legendary Fire types, Yanmega from the Top ten non legendary Bug types, Aerodactyl, Pidgeot, Togekiss, Noivern, Braviary, Altaria and Talonflame with Flame Body to burn it's opponents 12:03　Rock types please since Tyranitar is the only Rock type we saw in the Top ten non legendary Pokemon videos. There are many Rock type Pokemon I want to see in the Rock type Pokemon video. Golem, Rhyperior, Gigalith, Aggron with high defense, Midnight Lycanroc which is one of my favorite Rock types, Coalossal with the ability Steam Engine which will raise it's speed when being hit by a Fire or Water type move, Aerodactyl, Armaldo, Tyrantrum, Carracosta, Shuckle, Barbaracle, Drednaw and Tyranitar which was in the Top ten non legendary Dark type Pokemon video

The Flying Type is WAAAY too good that there's like 20 of them that could make the top 10 lol But honestly IMO this is more accurate: 1. Salamence 2. Corviknight 3. Dragonite 4. Gyarados 5. Gliscor 6. Togekiss 7. Charizard 8. Skarmory 9. Pelipper 10. Staraptor HM: Crobat, Mandibuzz, Braviary, Yanmega, Hawlucha, Noivern, Talonflame, Altaria, Swellow, Pidgeot, Aerodactyl

Staraptor imo is the start of the early Flying type Pokemon renaissance. Before, they are usually just filler Pokemon until you can find something better like sticking with or skipping Noctowl until you can find yourself a Skarmory. Not with Staraptor. From its great Intimidate ability and movepool, you actually want to keep the Pokémon. And thanks to it, Gamefreak finally stir things up with them, from the awesome Talonflame and his temporary reign in OU with his hidden ability to the cool Corviknight. Of course, we have outliers like Unfezent. It’s amazing how Pelipper went from being garbage Flying/Water type Pokemon to one of the most useful Pokemon for weather teams, even exceeding Politoad thanks to its movepool having more synergy. I guess all it really needs is a good ability. Nice list, Mystic.

To be honest, Corviknight is probably my favorite Steel Type I’ve ever used, and maybe could be my favorite flying type too. I actually use it with its G-Max form in my Ultimate team in Pokémon showdown. So I’m glad it’s seeing some powerful recognition in this list.

Talonflame was strong in X/Y competitive due to Gale Wings. Players spammed Brave Bird and healed off the damage due to Flying priority. It did get nerfed in Sun and Moon making it only priority at full HP

infiltrator noivern is my favorite flying pokemon. Solid speed and special attack with access to flamethrower for coverage and boomburst/ draco meteor for massive damage

I love Corviknight. I've been attempting to get a shiny by breeding Rookidee with Big Pecks, but it's definitely been a slog. Hopefully I can get my shiny, Gigantamax Corviknight sometime soon.

Even though I used Corviknight on my first Shield playthrough, I didn't appreciate the Flying type until my most recent Brilliant Diamond playthrough where I leaned so hard on Honchkrow it wasn't funny. I didn't expect to see the boss bird on the list, but I don't think I'm going to skimp on fliers anymore.

You forgot that corviknight is an early route pokemon it starts as rookidee (the only early form of breedable pure flying type pokemon), evolves into corvisquire (our only evolved breedable pure flying type pokemon), then evolve into coviknight. Also learns hone claws to boost its own accuracy.

The Flying-type is one I'm sure all of us have been acquainted with at some point, and it's stood the test of time if you ask me, especially considering that it's been paired up with pretty much every other type. Pokémon like Salamence, Skarmory, Corviknight, Staraptor, Gyarados, Charizard, and so on have made their place as being some of the greats. And fun fact: Corviknight is actually my favorite Flying-type Pokémon, so seeing it take the dub here felt really good to see. Also, an honorable mention from me is Honchkrow, what with its access to Super Luck, the Scope Lens, Night Slash and Brave Bird for STAB, and a pretty good Attack stat to take advantage of it.

Gyarados doesn’t really do well with it’s Flying-typing. It has Hurricane, sure, but that’s a Special Attack move, so it doesn’t work.

I think that the top 10 flying types are 10, Mandibuzz 9, Salamence 8, Gyarados 7, Hawlucha 6, Starapter 5, Pelipper 4, Skarmory 3, Dragonite 2, Gliscor 1, Corviknight and do the rock type next.

I think crobat should replace pelliper because it has the BST of 535 while pelliper has the BST of 440.

I would have thought Lugia would have been number 1 or 2 on the list, for it has the same hidden ability as Dragonite but the difference is, it has a better dual typing than Dragonite, not having any 4X weaknesses, along with several reisistances. In addition it has much higher HP and defense's than Dragonite making it like Dragonite on Steroids

No the real strongest is swellow who’s very fast has the ability guts and has access to stab facade so just give it a toxic orb and watch as it sweeps the entire enemy team

So there's no togekiss for instance, but Gyarados is on the list while not one single word about his FLYING type (wich i thought is what the list is about) and pelliper on the list?!?! The hell, pelliper is only good in certain situations. One thundershock and it's done.

@@laxusstrauss5945 tier doesn't necessarily mean effectiveness I've swept ubers with PU the intimidate moxie abilities alone put it above staraptor imo there's also the higher BST the superior movepool and the fact that in nuzlockes bagon and shelgon have much better odds of survival than starly and staravia. Also I don't see staraptor in competitive often but I do see salamence a lot that alone should tell you something.

Gyarados should not be here. Does anyone use hurricane on him? They dont really use bounce so why should he be here? Just because gen 1 they did not want to give him the dragon type because he would have been way too op. Togekiss should have been there. Sere grace, tunderwave and air slash

Pelippee is probably the worst Pokemon to say "almost like it was made with this i mind" about. It got buffed extremely hard in Gen6 I belive where it got Drizzle and a basestat boosts. So no. Initially it was made to suck next to Pokemon with the same typing like Gyrados.

You're comparing a Pokemon that was being held back by this physical special split to a Pokemon that just flat out sucked... See the reason Gareth does was so unreliable is because up until generator 4 one year after pelipper was introduced by the way all water type moves were special type moves and Gyarados is a physical attacker
