Did you even watch the video? Only about a quarter - half legendarys which is reasonable, its hard to find the 'bEsT' steel type out of like, 815 pokemon.
@@__-ic7si dude, there’s only 30 non legendary fully evolved steel types, and I feel like they aren’t that hard to sort into worst and best, and by including legendaries it’s pretty much taking the spotlight away from great non legendary steel types, like, Solgaleo practically got two spots on this list, I know it’s technically Necrozma but literally the only differences outside of design is a slight increase in bulk and attack. to add to that, legendaries can’t even be used in competitive and he said himself that this list has “a little bit more of a competitive focus.”
Yetters Every typing has their good and bad Pokémon. Your favorite typing isn’t perfect is neither is mine. But I find a way to look at every typing in a positive way.
Too lazy to watch video? 10.Aegislash 9.Mawille 8.Metagross 7.Genesect 6.Magearna 5.Dialga 4.Zamazenta 3.Solgaleo 2.Dusk Mane Zecrozma 1.Zacian Picture of all at the end of video
I really enjoy these types of videos but I wish they didn’t include Legendaries. It just ruins the fun of the Pokémon we grew up learning about and catching and using on teams. Like I would have loved to see Pokémon like Empoleon for its unique typing, design and play. Bronzong being a crazy wall in gen 4. Mega aggron from gen 6 being so cool and tons of other amazing Pokémon but whoops sorry over half the Pokémon on the list are megas and legendaries
Edwin David Franco barbosa Dialga: allow me to introduce myself, I am the literal embodiment of the concept time in the time/space continuum of the universe
I wonder if steel types are biomechanically modified to include both skin and machine? Or are they naturally that way? Quite the interesting topic for a video. I actually wonder if they were the product of mechanical modification by pokemon scientists.
Some of them seem to be modified by humans (like Genesect), but some are more natural as they are made out of raw metal. Lucario is apparently a wolf with oricalcium, a legendary metal which is rumored to detect auras. Some other Pokémon might also became steel type due to their metal consumption (If I remember correctly, it is rumored that Aggron line eat metal, giving them that armor. Same case for Fermite (Sorry if this isn't the English name, I only know its French name but it's that Steel Termite/Ant from Pokémon B/W) can't say the same for Pokémon like Scarmory and Corviknight tho'). The cases such as Metagross line, Cliticlic lines, Bronzing lines, Magnemite lines, etc, I am not quite sure tho'. I believe that they were created by humans. Or just possessed objects just like Aegislash's case.
@@randomavenger3048 ikr. 10 fucking resistances. Nothing else comes close to steel types defensively. Nobody has 10 strengths offensively and defensively in this game other than steel.
Lucario has bad dual typing for resistances. 3 lost resistances and only a Dark resistance gained. Although Rock and Bug are doubled up, they are not really that important to resist if at all.
Oh boy lucario It has an absurd amount of unpredictability, hitting on both categories It also has a stab priority on both categories It has close combat It has meteor mash Psychic, earthquake, the elemental punches, dragon pulse and coaching helps further its unpredictability It has prankster, one of the best abilities ever Prankster helps to further its setup potential It has a mega It makes the total Best of z crystals Vgc 2020 brought a good amount of gmax potential to lucario Vgc 2020 also brought a good amount of coaching potential to lucario It’s unpredictability helps to use the choice items, specifically scarf Fast but frail is good
I'm surprised out of the most legendary Pokémon that are on this list you didn't put my boy/girl Celesteela. Oh well next I want to see top 10 strongest Bug type Pokémon and also as a side note once you're done with the top 10 strongest you should do top 10 weakest, their are Pokémon that I like to use in my playthrough but are not good competitively (that is if it to much trouble, still really like these videos tho).
I was slightly surprised Mawile was on here, but Mega Scizor wasn’t. I love mawile(it’s my second favorite fairy type), but Scizor CLAPS so much harder than Mawile tbh
Mega Mawhile upon switch in immediately cuts the attack stat then gets huge power. It doesn't even need swords dance. Scizor is great too. But Mega Mawhile to me is better.
@@Flippers50 Lucario isn't a huge threat in competitive tbh because of common moves like earthquake, earth power, hidden power fire etc. And Excadrill and landorus just destroy Lucario.
GDmITE , he was in the past years especially with his mega and you can’t tell he’s taking past years in effect with a lot of these lucario is only really used this year as a justified user but he’s not the best
The Steel Type is my all time favorite. I was so thrilled when I found out Chairman Rose specialized in Steel Types. Plus it's arguably the best Type in all of Pokemon. Plus there has almost never been a Steel Type that wasn't bad***. I hope that someday there are more part Water and part Fire Steel Type Pokémon. My favorites are Scizor, Steelix, Skarmory, Metagross, Empoleon, Magnezone, Heatran, Klinklang, Bisharp Ferrothorn, Genesect, Aegislash, Solgaleo, Kartana, Magearna, and Corviknight, Duraludon, Zacian, and Zamazenta
Looking back, as much as we were hyped for the brand new Dark and Steel types, Gen II did them dirty, just as they did with Ghost and Dragon. They might as well have just saved the new types for Gen III and put Flygon and Dusclops in Gen II.
The steel type is my favorite and I love the well deserved respect you've shown them. That being said, I'm also a little sad that lucario, empoleon and scizor aren't on here.
My predictions before seeing this: (Not on order) Aggron Aigeslash Excadrill Genesect Metegross Sciszor Jirachi Dialga Steelix Zachian I am bad at spelling so please ignore the errors
I think excadrill was also a very good fit on this list Excadrill has Earthquake to get rid of the levitate mons vith mould breaker. Excadrill also has iron Head to destroy physically frail fairy types It has rapid Spin which is always a danger on anti-hazard teams that use hazards themselves Stealth Rock It resists stealth Rock heavily It is extremely fast and destroys physically frail mons It can make use of gmax in vgc 2020 because it uses a one target ground move that always raises its much-needed special defense It is literally the best tyranitar friend both in vgc 2020 and normal dou.
I feel as though Aegislash could be higher. King's Shield, Swords Dance, Sacred Sword, and Shadow Sneak would be the greatest moveset for it as it works for both Stances with Leftovers as an item
Only problem to the set would be Tapu Lele now that its returning in the Crown Tundra. Psychic Surge makes Shadow Sneak useless and Sacred Sword is 4x resisted. Without Tapu Lele is kind of walled by Aegislash though... But both pokemon could just end up setting up on each other. But the Tapu Lele team could sketch just out to a teammate that can take out Aegislash.
9:03 yeah but the problem with Zamazenta just having Close Combat is that Close Combat only has 5 PP (8 max) I would like a fighting Stab move that has a little bit more PP like Aura Sphere or Sacred Sword (like Zacian has but can’t get Stab from)
Another honorable mention would have been Klefki. Watch it shine across gen 6 and gen 7 formats thanks to prankster, only to now be in a format where Pokémon like Cinderace are a thing.
I still believe that Gen 6 aegislash would be in the first spot. But again, I haven't played the new games, and the pokemon sword legendary stats are rly crazy...
For my lists of the strongest Pokemon of the 18 types I wanted to diversify and not focus on one particular Pokemon that had a dual type. So I made the rule that I won't doing any repeats on Pokemon, cause it felt unnecessary and that also included Confined Hoopa, Dusk Mane Necrozma and Sky Shaymin, but Alolan and Galarian forms that have a different enough type count to be different enough to add in. Also I used different Pokemon to diversify more on my lists. Grass: Gogoat, Celebi and Iron Leaves, Fire: Iron Moth, Incineroar, Gouging Fire and Magmortar, Water: Samurott, Keldeo, Volcanion, Blastoise and Primarina, Bug: Golisopod and Slither Wing, Electric: Raging Bolt and Electivire, Fighting: Okidogi, Iron Hands, Great Tusk, Iron Valiant, Koraidon and Machamp, Dark: Zoroark (Unovan), Kingambit, Obstagoon and Moltres (Galarian), Fairy: Fezandipiti, Enamorus, Tinkaton, Sylveon and Togekiss, Dragon: Latias, Miraidon and Walking Wake, Normal: Meloetta, Ursaluna and Terapagos, Ground: Iron Treads, Psychic: Starmie and Hoopa, Rock: Garganacl, Coalossal, Kabutops and Lycanroc, Steel: Empoleon, Jirachi, Steelix, Iron Crown, Melmetal, Magnezone, Archaludon, and Gholdengo, Ghost: Annihilape, Golurk and Dusknoir, Ice: Cetitan, Iron Bundle and Chien-Pao, Poison: Overqwil, Tentacruel, Garbodor, Nidoqueen and Pecharunt and Flying: Mantine, Honchkrow, Noivern, Tornadus, Kilowattrel, Gliscor, Aerodactyl, Braviary and Iron Jugulis. The weakest lists for each type I used different Pokemon, but had plenty of repeats, cause admittedly there are just too many bad Pokemon to ignore. And I know some of these current entries I'm putting in for this edit are Gen 9, but I'm just sharing this to show my different opinions.
7/10 on this list is legendary/mythical. Lists like there aren’t fair on non-leg/ myth since they have much lower stat totals which already puts them at a huge disadvantage. So I suggest with other videos u you do non-leg/myth and base your results on past results and current metas. Such as Worlds and Nationals etc. Seeing Pokemon which aren’t even usable in the current format are kind disappointing as you won’t even be able to test these Pokemon. I understand this isn’t competitive but without leg/myth I’d says the video would be a lot more interesting as ppl might not expect some Pokemon and shows you some gimmicks you can do with them. All the legendaries which were on this list were obvious and kind of made this video stale, this is just my opinion tho.
I feel like Genesect and Dialga could be removed as there are better steel types while Solgaleo could be removed so its not as repetitive to have both it and Dusk Mane when the latter is far far FAR superior. Definitely could have seen Mega Lucario, Ferrothorn, and Excadrill in their places.
@@_PopCorn8_ i def would not say durant, magnezone, or duraludon but the other 2 mentioned are contenders. Though something I did not mention in my original reply is that leaving out legendaries in their entirety is completely discounting what said legendaries can do. Having them on is a bit necessary but it shouldn't be a majority of the list. Also DMNecrozma is the best psychic type :)
GEO SHMEO I agree with what you say, but maybe he should only include the tournament legal ones. In 2019 legal steel types are, dialga, heatran and solgaleo
@@_PopCorn8_ but then that completely discredits the steel types that are broken and wouldn't really be a top 10. Even then, DM was legal in the ultra series sooooo
Okay just my opinion, but I really don't like how the list is like full of legendaries and mythicals. There are soooo many amazing steel types (like Lucario, Klinklang etc.) who get no mention in this video just because legendaries exist, who obviously are the strongest of the bunch
Who else here was already expecting zacian to sit at no1 since it has no real weaknesses through coverage and it’s stats. It’s an offensive type pokémon that has the defense that rivals arceus
I personally love Aggron, Bisharp, Aegislash, and Steelix; I don’t like having a list chock full of legendaries, but I can’t deny your reasoning is sound!
What about ground types? They have some of the best offensive potential, and can be defensive if they have a good type combo like water/ground (Quagsire, Gastrodon, etc.)
Arpan Saha I know Mawile was mentioned. I was saying Scizor deserved a spot more than Mawile does. Mega Mawile is solid, but it’s nothing compared to a Swords Dance + Bullet Punch Mega Scizor.
Arpan Saha oh yeah, that’s facts. It is. But in most situations outside of trick room, Scizor is superior to Mawile. But yes Mega Mawile is awesome tbh. It’s one of my fave Pokémon.
The Best Steel Type Pokémons : Crowned Zamazenta or Mega Lucario, Cobalion, Empoleon, Mawile or Magearna, Skarmory or Celesteela, Mega Metagross or Bronzong, 🌞 Solgaleo or Dusk mane Necrozma 🌚, Aegislash, and DIALGA
I immediately went to search Top 10 Normal type Pokémon, because I wanted to know if I was right with it being Slaking. Do normal type next, lol. Normal, Bug, or Ghost
My set for Aegislash back in Gen 6 was to use Autotomize to first raise its speed and then just go all out on the offens and not care to go back to defensive stance, leaving me with three different moves to play with.
I think they should add "Object" type to Pokémon. Would go well with pokemon like Klefki, Rotom etc... The only bad thing is that all the pokemon would have to be female then.
My biggest complaint about Zamazenta is that it has such a fantastic defense but doesn’t get access to Body Press, the new fighting type move that deals damage based off defense! If i could’ve run Behemoth Bash, Iron Defense, Body Press and Play Rough that would’ve been a beast!
I find the water ground thing funny, mainly due to one of my friends using his beloved mega swampert...grass knot definitely took care of that thing...
I am happy that my favourite Pokémon is on this list. I fell for Mawile when I found her in Dewford Cave when playing Pokémon Emerald for the first time. She is a perfect example of balance between beeing cute and badass. Also her origin is awesome. I've really loved this Pokémon since then, even if it's stats weren't even decent. Mawile is great and I am happy she got mega evolution. Gamefreak, u did a fantastic job.
At first I was like no way Aegislash number 10, but then the rest of the list was megas, mythicals, and legendaries and I was like oh ok that checks out.
I think this video has been either super half assed or someone who just doesn’t have enough expertise. Literally 3 of the honorable mentions have been higher than aegislash, being melmetal, ferrothorn, and excadrill. Melmetal is currently Uber. And ferrothorn has plenty usuals in Uber as well as excadrill who’s been banned in gen 5. Meanwhile aegislash has been nerfed and is in UUbl in gen 8 which has been generally lowered in powercreep. And then there’s little mistakes for the other higher ranked Pokémon Mawile: speed isn’t a problem since it learns sucker punch Metagross: idk y mystic decides to mention that “water and ground types are good at walling it” since there’s like 4 of them, especially since there’s other mons that can wall it as long as it has solid defense, scald, or will o wisp. Plus no serious metagross set runs grass not because it’s special and non contact Genesect: genesects coverage isn’t revolved around it’s drives, since it costs it their item slot instead of using, say fire blast while packing a life orb instead of a burn drive. And how is download a “flaw?!” It literally tells u which offensive stat u should hit the opposing Pokémon, i fail to see where the prediction comes in. Magerna-dialga and zamazenta were fine But idk y solgaleo was showcased a random ass smogon suggestion set Also for honorable mentions I think u should have mentioned heatran (especially since it’s been a high Ou threat every generation) magnezone for being built to take on every other steel type, scizor, and kartana too shoulda been mentioned
Solgaleo isn't great. Melmetal is fun and strong. Kartana sweeps team and checks rain I tried it walls mega swampert. Scizor mega OHKO greninja at +2 bullet punch(maybe not but close) Heatran 5 4x resistances do I need more. Ferro IS justo great.
Hey MysticUmbreon! For your next video idea, can you do Potential Elite 4 teams for each region? Like for example, since Kanto has Ice, Fighting, Ghost, and Dragon E4 members. What would the E4 Type Teams be for that region aside from those in the main series?
I enjoy the videos but I think you should put the lists without legendary Pokémon. And you can say “if I were to include legendaries they would go here”. But I’m watching for non-legendary/mythical best lists.
TBH, Aegislash's nerf wasn't that severe. Granted, it's not used a lot in the competitive scene as of now, but I say this because the 140 stat totals it has in both attacking powers and defensive power (depending on its stance) were 150 before Gen 8, only 10 points higher which isn't a HUGE gap. But like I said, Aegislash hasn't been that prominent in competitive battling lately (ironic for the literal sword and shield Pokemon), but it still holds great prowess nonetheless.
