One of my favorites was when he is brought back to life, and the flash is running past him and he turns his eyes and head fast enough to keep up with the flash which really throws Barry off. That was epic.

Since childhood I loved Superman, not for his seemingly infinite powers but for his genuine love for mankind, honesty, morals, and integrity.

Superman will always be my favorite super hero. He is the pure embodiment of a super hero. His real super power is continually not using his power for evil despite knowing he could own just about any world he wanted to. He remains human and humble. The Kent's raised him right.

My favorite flex moment is in the first superman movie where Supes is just standing there on the side of the building as the thief is climbing up the side, and Supes asks him if something is wrong with the elevator.

The look he gives to the flash in the fight scene in the Justice League was epic. Flash is shocked he can even see him.

5:08 this shot always gave me goosebumps. Seeing Superman, this god-like figure, floating in the air like that during a storm, cape flapping in the wind, brief flashes of lightning showing us his presence, it gives me chills to think about lol

I will ALWAYS be a Christopher Reeve guy, but there's plenty of room in my heart for Henry Cavil. He really did Superman justice. He took great care of my favorite super hero and God bless him for it. BTW, I agree with your #1 pick. That scene got me pumped knowing what my boy was about to do.

I have loved Superman as long as I can remember. I remember when Superman the movie came out in 1978 and absolutely lost my mind over it. Superman has in my opinion is the greatest hero ever.

Superman Returns is a GREAT movie. Completely under-rated. Brandon gave his all to try and respect Christopher Reeves superman and I think he did an amazing job. It felt like superman. I also love Henry Cavil's superman. Totally different superman, but just as great.

Modern Superman movies look amazing but that score for the originals, nothing is more super than listening to Supermans theme.

The best Superman flex was from Superman 2. Two of them really. When he went back to diner and took care of the "Bully". And when he crushed Zod's hand and gave that "Hell yea" look before tossing him away.

The scene where the batmobile bounces off of Superman was the biggest flex in Superman history. My favorite "you literally can't fuck with me" moment.

I can not believe they dumped HC. He IS superman. I've watched them all and to me, he personifies Superman without even trying very hard. I will definitely miss him.

Yes, yes, yes. I agree 100%, Superman Returns has always been underrated, and I never understood why. I still periodically rewatch it and say to myself “Nope, I still can comprehend why everyone doesn’t like (or love) this movie.”

Superman Returns is one of my favorite Superman films. I'm glad Brandon got to be in the Arrowverse.

Don't forget when Brandon Routh's Superman flies in front of the minigun (saving the security guards), casually walks forward while the minigun depletes it's ammo supply, and then just stands still while the rooftop villain shoots him point blank in the eye. The bullet flattens on his eyeball and falls to the floor, and Brandon just smirks.

Superman definitely needs more screen time, I just hope I get to see it In my life time. Im surprised that the mini gun scene from superman returns didn't show up in this episode.

The way Superman levitates into the air, and then slams his opponents is also a flex. You would expect him to have very little momentum not standing on the ground, nor having a long run way and yet he demolishes.

IT'S SUPERMAN a being who have been downscaled in power to fit in the franchise with all the other absolutely great hero's. I'm sure that if Superman decided to clap as frickin hard as he could not being downscaled for story or movie purposes', my guess is that he would create an impact with enough power and friction that would put the downscaled Tsar bomb to shame while also causing a chain reaction of unfortunate events resulting in natural disasters and all sorts of shit.. Yes I'm team Superman so that does have an impact on the way I see this of course but even if I wasn't I would still come to the same conclusion with logic, physics and human biology according to how things work *on earth. I think one of the reasons why people have these mixed feelings on where to stand and who is stronger or who would win this or that is because superman is always scaled too the heroes he is with or the scene he is doing something in which is so vastly different from movie to movie, he has gone through so frickin many iterations (like many other heroes, I know) but if Aqua man picks up a ford truck and slams it somewhere because he is pissed we sit there and smile and in my case gets excited because I apply logic and physics to everything in order to measure how cool it is. I know that shit is heavy and to just pick that shit up and jamming with it or doing something funny that give us as viewers a sense of scale and power we can interpret. Superman on the other hand he is expected to not show any struggle or any other kind of hardship from everyday stuff these heroes go through, which is why amongst many other scenes I won't mention as it's beside the point, scenes like the one in Man of Steel where he saves the guys from the exploding/burning oil-rig, when the metal/ steel pillar starts to come down and he catches it so the helicopter can fly off safely, it annoyed the piss out of me that that was a thing where they tried to convey how strong he is.. bro I don't care if that thing weighted 100ktons it should not be such a big deal for him. in superman returns he lifted a whole continent up from the pacific and flew it to outer space for frick sake, and the mineral composition was mainly kryptonite, hence why the dude fainted and fell from the sky and needed to be treated by paramedics! that is the way you should do it, but in a smarter more modern way. why do you think one punch had to go to a weight in with all the other heroes and do all these physical test, yes he scored poorly in all his test because he was so overpowered and the universe he's in cant fathom a being being that strong and the test was not meant for someone as strong as him, so every test was faulty or the equipment where and no one expected it was him (except one). but for those seeing the series it worked like a charm, it showed his power in a way we can absorb and in some way we can sort of relate to. One punch is perhaps a little odd example because it's a series about a dude who has insane fights where we see his power all the time but I just wanted to mention the fitness test as a way they could test superman too as the universe he's in knows who he is (sort of at least) but have no idea what he is capable of, I am sure he is not even fully aware himself. A scene that stood by me to this day from when I was younger was the scene with (correct me if I'm wrong here as I'm bad with names) Johnny flash from fantastic four, where they build a heat chamber to withstand the heat he would produce, yes he ended up melting the cooled and ventilated titanium chamber as he was reaching 4k kelvin or approx. 3700 degree Celsius or for you crazy Americans approx. 6800 Fahrenheit also added that had they not stopped him he may have gone supernova which is simply the end of a suns life where it explodes and emits more energy then the sun would have in its entire lifespan over a short span of time. I'm rambling and English is not my first language so bare with me if you have made it this far - but I think to conclude; that we need, whether or not we are team superman or not a test - the world forces should go together and develop a test program to test how capable, how strong whatever they can come up with of insane great visualizations of *who and what are Superman and what is he capable of. Yes just like One punch he may end up destroying every test even though they are build for him in mind and not the averrage4 joe but with the world forces combining their tech, and top scientist and mathematics and everything between they would be able to come up with an idea on how to get an estimate of his powers *AND weaknesses and log all that data and convey that to us viewers in the simplest of forms *not being able to comprehend what those numbers are, when people in science of any kind lose their composure and are mind blown by the data presented, that his grip pressing force measured 2 mil pounds pr. square inch before the measuring equipment failed and the friction and air molecules evaporated everything within 100 meter or a water compression test, as we all know as a rule of thumb *water cant be compressed ** but it can so seeing him compress water to a state where it's known properties changes and the physical state turns from a liquid to a solid state with different properties or to a crystalized phase like Ice 6 would be so frickin sick, you best believe I'd be watching that at least a 100 times.. seriously I can go on about this so I wont bother you anymore, I also have to mention I have ADD so I may have gone off topic and there may be places where I'm talking about something and then talking about something completely else, sorry for that, hope you get something out of this even if it's just a laugh - If you got this far let me know if you got something to discuss and I'll get back here for a good discussion - to anyone wanting to be rude, aim for *over my head so I can have a chuckle (I wont respond to rudeness unless it's justified and or slightly smart - byeeee

i think one more needs to be added, here...the gatling gun scene in, "Superman Returns"...the look he gives the guy when he tries to shoot him and the bullet bounces off his eye...

The special effect of today is what makes this Superman great. You can do so much more to show how strong he is, and they have the right actor to pull it off.

IMO the best Superman flex is when he lifts an entire continent of Kryptonite off of the planet and throws it into space, showing an unbelievable amount of power despite being surrounded by his ultimate weakness.

When Superman was fighting the Justice League he could have easily ripped them into pieces and left them laying on the ground. He showed great restraint.

Flexes I'd like to see: Digging a 2nd Panama Canal, a 2nd Suez Canal, hauling abandoned fishing nets out of the Gulf of Mexico, picking up Chinese fishing boats illegally in national waters and using drag nets (maximum catch but utterly destroys fishing beds) and putting them in the middle of China, etc.

Superman's real weakness is his genuine moral code. No one would even get a chance to deploy kryptonite against him if he just killed his enemies at the first sign of trouble or stopped bringing the worst ones to jail and letting them get additional chances to escape and try again.

God, I wish they would make another Henry Cavill Superman movie and let him be funny. The actor is hilarious, and Superman is supposed to be snarky.

I love Henry Cavill as an actor, but his Superman always looked like he was about two seconds away from having a psychotic break and rage killing everyone in the room. Brandon Routh's portrayal was very humble, which is more in line with the character, but perhaps a little too soft to be inspiring. Christopher Reeve was the best combination of both, with an almost comical amount of "big blue Boy Scout" thrown in for good measure.

I remember going to the theatre and watching Christopher Reeve in what I consider the best Superman movie ever created. Now than being said I will admit that Henry Cavill is an amazing Superman and he is the only one that should do it from now on. I will also admit that I did enjoy Brandon Routh's version of Superman.
