...but actually, it's only 8 walls. A wall is, most commonly, 1/4th of an enclosure; i.e., a standard room has 4 walls. A standard room containing another standard room within it would therefor have 8 walls - 4 walls surrounded by 4 larger walls. The only way a 4th wall break inside of a 4th wall break would be comprised of 16 walls is if both rooms were made of 7 walls, i.e. haptagonal rooms... but Deadpool is clearly not inside a heptagonal room while making this statement, so most likely, his "4th wall break inside of a 4th wall break" is comprised of 8 physical walls. BUT. This is only when accounting for actual, literal, PHYSICAL walls - and the term "4th wall" references the performance convention of an invisible, imaginary wall which separates actors from the audience. Therefor, since a "4th wall break" refers to the breaking of the metaphorical "4th wall" - not a physical wall - a "4th wall break inside of a 4th wall break" is comprised of only TWO "4th walls" being broken: the imaginary 4th wall between the actors and audience, and the imaginary 4th wall in between the audience and the actor who has broken through the first 4th wall... HOWEVER, since the actor breaking two 4th walls is STILL not part of the audience, they exist in front of the FIRST 4th wall, in front of a SECOND 4th wall, but are still BEHIND the THIRD 4th wall - therefor, they have broken TWO 4th walls, unaware that there is still - at least - one more imaginary wall separating them from the audience. Deadpool didn't break 16 walls, lol - at most he broke 8 physical walls, but more likely he broke TWO metaphorical 4th walls. And is apparently really, really terrible at math and metaphysics.
@@pooeyyeoop1 incorrect; you are counting unbroken walls in addition to the broken ones. A 4th wall break only breaks the 4th wall, which exists between the actors and audience - if each of the original 4 walls contains a metaphorical room, and those original 4 walls are all broken, the 12 walls you mention would be the walls left standing - not the ones broken. In the scenario you present, a 4th wall break BEYOND a 4th wall break would only break 2 walls - the wall from the original room into one of the rooms contained by the original 4 walls, and then one of the remaining 3 walls in that room. Which would result in 2 "4th wall" breaks - precisely the number asserted in the conclusion of my initial comment. All of the above is quite irrelevant, though (even though it also results in 2 broken "4th walls", as explained above), because your logic - "a room BEYOND the 4th wall" - references and attempts to challenge the first logical argument I present - "room IN a room" - which was regarding PHYSICAL rooms, not metaphorical ones...
@@justaguywholovescommenting that only works when dismissing a flawed or invalid rebuttal, which mine is not. Also I said "but actually", and you're using quotation marks incorrectly. 🙄
Oops, I realize how bad that sounds! 🤭I think he's an excellent actor and singer and love watching him perform, buff body or no! And he's very attractive even less bulked up!💙
@rhovenom04 The Proposal was a PG-13 movie staring Ryan Reynolds…Nicepool was demonstrating that he could break the fourth wall by referring to a movie Ryan was in. It was a bad attempt…which was the intention. The joke is in how much he failed to match our own DPs 4th wall breaking efforts.
My favorite was after Johnny Storm dies, Deadpool yells “you know what he was doing to the budget” to Wolverine 😂😂. I wish we saw more of Chris Evan’s but I don’t blame them since I’m sure he was costly
@@Sos4R4y that one was funny. Before it was made to belive that Deadpool wrongly caused his death. But then after credits roll around just to not set up any future movie or anything, but just make Johnny Storm Swear like a Pirate! 😂 Fucking Gold
When I saw that first time I was like Oh My God. They just ki*led him. I was in shock but suddenly Deadpool gave the budget issue and Wolverine often tells that Deadpool ki*led him I started laughing. It might be first time that a Fictional Character dies and instead of mourn for him we were laughing for him.
I'm surprised the Deadpool movies never referenced the game. Especially because the game was the biggest introduction to Deadpool to non comic fans until the first movie, lol.
LFG!!!!! "Get your special sock out nerds, it's gonna get good." Seeing Deadpool on the thumbnail never gets old on this channel, and I can't wait to collect Deadpool and Wolverine on Blue Ray. This movie is the best one ever to exist this year.
Ryan Reynolds/Deadpool pokes fun at Green Lantern a lot, but he stated that he doesn't regret a single moment of it. It's where he met his wife after all!
I really like what they did with Deadpool in marvel midnight suns. When you recruit him to your roster he goes look mum I’m gonna be DLC. It later turns out that stands for Deadpool living comfortably.
“This totally reminds me of that one time with those other dudes when we totally did that one thing and everyone busted up laughing because what’s his name fell over into that other guy and we were all like PUSH THE DANG BUTTON” -Deadpool game(2013)
As the one who wrote the script, allow me to explain the difference between the fourth and fifth wall.... at least according to what WatchMojo told me ^^; Fourth Wall - acknowledging the audience and how they're a piece of media Fifth Wall - Acknowledging the careers of the production staff, CLOWNING on the staff... and in the case of Deadpool 2, going back in time to undo two cinematic blemishes in Ryan Reynolds' career :P
When the wall number is converted to Canadian, you have to multiply it by the jars of maple syrup, then divide it by “sorry”s. In this case, the fourth wall converts to the fifth wall, eh?
"He's very short, 5'11''. Not like in the comics." - Deadpool, Deadpool 2. Especially when I read from SNS that people complained about height difference between Tom Cruise and that character he portrayed, Jack Reacher.
Deadpool calling Cable "one-eyed willy" - while indeed a nod at Brolin's role in the cult classic 'Goonies' film - is actually a penis joke... You didn't seem to pick up on that one, lmao.
Deadpool- hey, it’s me. Don’t scratch, just cleaning up the timelines. So one day, you’re gonna decide to hang up the claws, it’s gonna make alot of people really sad. But one day your old pal wade is gonna ask you to get back in the saddle again, and when he does, say yes. Wolverine- oh, right
IDK about wall break but I love how when you get a close up on the gold 50 cal Desert Eagles in DP & Wolverine they have tiny Canadian flags under the muzzles.
From what im told a comicbook i read or heard about some scientist took away one of the voices from deadpools brain which makes him a jokester "😂" but once that voice is gone...deadpool went on a killing spree killing everybody in the MCU and DCU including all the writers in between MCU/DCU and he is unstoppable
You know what's funny... Deadpool's "ability" to break the 4th wall and beyond is really nothing more than his ability to travel the multiverse with his mind. He's talking to us (the audience) because he knows we exist in another universe and are watching him in a film as a character, just as much as he knows Ryan Reynolds exists as an actor who portrays him. And in Deadpool's universe Ryan Reynolds looks VERY MUCH like Wade Wilson 🤣 That's all it is. It's not "4th wall breaking", it's Deadpool being able to search the multiverse IN HIS MIND, and know everything about everyone in every conceivable universe, especially when they're more closely tied to him.
Deadpool didn't break the fourth wall, he murdered it, rebuilt it and brought it back to life by messing with timelines, then killed it more brutally than the first time.
Does anyone else think that when Deadpool killed his variant from an alternate timeline that there was some foreshadowing when he looked at Wolverine and said that he would eventually ask him for a favor?
What do you mean "Beyond the fourth wall"? Making fun of his co-stars, production staff, and his own actor area all still fourth wall breaks. There is no fifth wall. Do you even know what the fourth wall means? It's a theater term referring to the imaginary wall between the characters and the audience. Any time a character directly acknowledges the existence of the audience or that they are a fictional character that's a fourth wall break. The fifth wall simply does not exist, technically if there was a 5th wall it would mean we're in a fictional reality with an audience watching us.
I reckon Ryan is missing a really cool sixth wall break, which could still be remedied, though it would take some very careful crafting. It would have to involve Deadpool going back in time to stop himself from killing Ryan Reynold whilst he was reading the Green Lantern script at the end of Deadpool 2, because, had Ryan not done Green Lantern, he very likely would never have married Blake Lively, who now is his Everything. It would need to take some clever writing for the scene, but I think it would be wonderful to see him redeem Green Lantern for just that very reason.
MAJOR SPOILERS: When he was with blade "There’s only been one Blade. There will only ever be one Blade," and deadpool looks at the camera. Or the wolverine suit: "that only took 20 years"
For people learning about Deadpool. I remember people confused about 1st deadpool movie especially when wade said i am Batman in 2nd. Wade is from our universe when bruce wayne. Clark kent isnt. Who played as Batman and Superman whatever Which means wade knows everything like we do. Thats why he did lot of references about what’s going on in reality.
I'm surprised "Get your special sock out, nerds" wasn't on the list or at least get an honorable mention. Same with "Pegging isn't new to me, but it is to Disney."
1. I can break the fourth wall too. The Proposal. Gets me everytime 2. I can see why his mouth is sewn shut. Bc the film focused on wolverine so the film has to be serious otherwise the merc woukdve ruined the vibe. Only reason why DPvsW worked is bc its a deadpool film and wolverine can have a snarky side
😂😂not really but kind off ...because its a fourth wall break that is not a direct one ...the normal fourth wall break is when hetalks to us directly by looking at a camera ..when he references movies or pop culture...that can be taken to mean fifth wall break
To me, Deadpool killing Ryan Reynolds before he could be Green Lantern created a time paradox cause then, he wasn't able to be Deadpool having been shot before his debut 😅
@@JamesDavy2009 I... Don't think I was talking about multiverse theories, at least directly. Just the moment where Deadpool kills Reynolds and I just had to get it off my chest
Still can't understand all the hate for Green Lantern. The movie wasn't good, but it was quite ok. The costume was animated, but what else did everyone expect out of a costume made of ENERGY?
Ok, so breaking the 4th wall is just acknowledging the audience while breaking the 5th wall is acknowledging the production of the media you're in. Is that right?
Yeah but Hugh Jackman was really cool about it! Sometimes the best way to deal with an uncomfortable situation is to deal with it head on. And I’m sure since it came from Ryan, the sting was reduced a little
