@@mlpartclub412 but those make sense because they would have to recreate some of the stuff to show that other decepticons came or other Autobots came down so they would have to reuse some of the scenes but are they props though or just effects? Well aside from the black car and drone

Theater acting is done on a simple stage. Scenery gives an impression of the setting. Audience imagination fills in the rest. I think it'd be a fine thing to keep a soundstage simple. Scenery in front of green screens gives an impression of performers' connection with the setting. Let PLAUSIBLE cgi fill in the rest.

an interesting fact about the firehouse from ghost busters is: only the exterior shots are in New york while all the interior shots were shot at an identical style firehouse in California. also, the Sulaco and the M41A pulse rifle from aliens were repainted and re used in Alien 3. also the armor from starship troopers also appears in one of the Agent Cody banks films on one of the bad guys driving a snow mobile.

@@foxlloyd1737 I love both, I just don't understand the need to hate the matrix. It's to much of it and its only because its the "right thing to do in certain circles". Me, I fdon'æt understand hate, but then again, I don't want to live in a world like eighter of thoiose moevies eighter. Nor do I think my opinion is so important I need to tell everyone in every alignment it comes up. So good luck with you're political correct hate.

It's not exactly recycled, but one film featured a mask that would go on to be the same kind they would use for Michael Myers in the first two Halloween films, with all films afterward recreating the mask in some way. While it wasn't recycled from that film, instead being bought for two dollars, I felt it's a cool fact.

The Michael Myers mask is not from a William Shatner movie, the mask is supposed to be William Shatner. Well, technically it's probably supposed to be Captain Kirk.

Sorry! Though, it's from 1998... what is the grace period before spoilers are accepted? A lot of spoilers become common knowledge a decade after the fact much of the time, like The Sixth Sense..

There's another prop that was not used in one movie but found its use in another: Gwyneth Paltrow's prop head in Se7en. It was created for that movie, but Brad Pitt (who played Detective Mills) convinced director David Pincher not to show the head as it would make it effective to show Detective Mills' reaction instead. But it found later use in the film Contagion, with gruesome results.

The lever action shotgun prominently used in T2 was seen in The Mummy Returns; also part of the flying saucer landing sequence that was in the original (super classic) The Day the Earth Stood Still appeared in the Twilight Zone episode "To Serve Man."

although it's within the same franchise: the orange Toyota Supra (driven by Paul Walker) and red Mazda RX7 (driven by Vin Diesel) in the first Fast and Furious movie were remodified for 2Fast 2Furious and used in the opening race alongside Paul Walker's own R34 Skyline GT-R and a neon pink Honda S2000 (driven by Devon Aoki). The Flat Iron Building in New York City has also served as the exterior shot for multiple fictional buildings, most notably as the head offices of The Daily Bugle in the Sam Rami Spider-Man Trilogy.

The dentist tools from "Little Shop of Horrors" (1986) were reused as the plastic surgeon's tools in "Batman" (1989), which is fitting, since Jack Nicholson's first ever film role with in the 1960 version of "Little Shop of Horrors."

(10:22) Funny, Christopher Lloyd starred with Hulk Hogan in this movie shortly after referencing the PKE meter because Lloyd was originally meant to star as Egon Spangler in Ghostbusters, but was already attached to Back to the Future at the time.

The Most Dangerous Game (1932) was filmed at the same time as King Kong. It was made by some of the same people, had a few of the same actors (including Fay Wray and Robert Armstrong) and used many of the exact same sets, including the jungle and log bridge

Speaking of king kong, it's sets were also used during the making of "The World's Most Dangerous Game" filmed at the same time in 1933. It also starred King Kong's leading lady Fay Wray.

The Universal backlot is constantly reused for many movies, but that’d be too easy to point out. Griffith Tunnel was reused more than once for Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Back to the Future: Part II. Robert Zemeckis and his crew just dressed it up differently in the two films.

The starship troopers armor can also be seen being worn by multiple people in the intro episode to Power Rangers lost Galaxy. As a kid, I instantly recognized the helmet design.

The guns from the 5th Element that had all the crazy features were reused in Galaxy Quest with a new paint job and some moss or something on them. Also the I know I have seen the Xavier School from X-Men first class in a ton of things too

Two reused sets I know about are the Royal Palace from "Coming To America" also being the Enterprise-A shuttlebay in "Star Trek V". Also, I know a great deal of the main "Stargate Atlantis" set was originally built for "Blade Trinity".

I knew the Mask and Ghost buster, but I learned that Police Academy and Flatliners also. Wow, the Quality cafe. I know that from Seven, Training Day, Stepfather and Planes, Trains and Automibles. I never put those together until this video. I thought number 1 would be that cliff scene from that movie with William Shatner. I also thought there was another watchmojo that said the metal boots were same from Super Mario Bros and Face/Off. That one I knew before.

The fire house of Ghostbusters was used in Big Trouble in little China as well. In the Batman movie the chair the Joker use on his parade wagon is a copy of a royal chair from Sweden. It was used in a Hollywood movie about Swedish Queen Christina played by Greta Garbo in 1933. The real chair has been on display in Swedens royal castle.

When your film needs a set or prop, but the budget won’t allow you to build it, recycle it from something else. 🤷‍♂️ Star Trek did it with ship props, the Enterprise B from “Generations” is just the old Excelsior with a few parts added onto it, especially around the deflector dish, because that needed to be blown up for Captain Kirk’s death scene, but they didn’t want to break the original underneath (which they did anyway by accident. Paramount was not happy about that.)

Wow, yall gave a shout out to the Volo Auto Museum! I've actually visited it and the sheer volume of treasures curated therein almost defies credulity. For fuck's sake, they have something I've wished I owned since I was 4, of which only 15 were ever produced for filming: The bicycle belonging to one Mr Herman, Mr Pee-wee Herman.

Locations or sets? Because location reusing is way more common, e.g. Hatley Castle. Props reusing would really depending on proprietary rentals and props designed and produced for specific films.

Star Trek is notorious for recycling sets from both the TV series and movies, The med bay in Star Trek: First Contact is actually the Med Bay from Tar Trek Voyager, and they even reused the explosion of a Klingon Bird of Prey from Star Trek VI in Star Trek Generations, the very next movie.

At first, I was getting Matrix mixed up with Thirteenth Floor. Same release year and the virtual tech also caused a distinctively green motif. That one's a relatively straightforward murder mystery, though, with the twist being it's all about technicians on a big VR project. And doesn't anyone remember Existenz from around that time?
