That's our alliance your wife is fighting against! Feeling sorta famous now. Probably the most fun we've had with an opponent in a while. we always seem to end up vs a Plat2 that crushes us, or an inactive alliance. This one has been competitive and fun.
I’ve just returned because Home (LOTR) shut down. I’m lvl 88 and I feel so far behind. I’ve missed almost a years worth of characters and apocalypse was just starting to get unlocked when I left. It’s hard to work out where to focus so for now I’m working on apocalypse teams for his unlock and legendary characters- trying to 7 star them.
I'm a day 1 player with no intention of doing a second account but i find the info here so helpful, even just to understand the new player experience. Thank you 3 for putting in the effort
I think mid game probably starts at 60. You unlock blitz sim and leave the “beginner” blitz shard. I think end game probably starts when you start doing the most current raids and most current dd’s. I think raids and dd’s are the best measurement because they are pve, whereas PvP is really more of a measure of how long you have been playing or spent in comparison to other players.
I really hate that the game punishes you for missing a single day. It’s crazy to think that they don’t consider people having lives where something happens so the priority isn’t a friggin video game.
Apocalypse is kind of like MSF’s version of galactic legends. Dd’s have a natural progression path where doing one helps you get into the next one. Chasing apoc doesn’t really help you prepare for dd6. Apoc is pretty much a huge detour you go on after dd5 before you go into dd6. It kind of feels you have to choose to prepare for dd6 and unlock sus or choose to prepare and unlock apoc. You can’t really do both at the same time. There may be some overlap, but not much. I know a lot of players were focused on making sure the new horsemen scourge system was more player friendly, but I still feel the apoc saga was just as (if not probably more) needing of adjusting. The apoc saga needs requirements more in line with the dd’s. This way players don’t have to build two year old horsemen teams to the moon, but it also lets you take some characters that you can hopefully use for dd6 as well. In other words, like other dd’s, apoc won’t be as big of a detour in going from to dd5 to dd6. It will really be a dd5.5 then.
You can be doing DD5 and Babyapoc at the same time. I think during my DD5 run I used about 8 APOC characters. Does APOC drain resources for DD6? Yes but you can use him in DD6 and DD7.
I hope when the experience is streamlined everyone benefits, I started late October last year I think, recently bought the time jump to lvl 80 from 65 mainly for access to certain events so I can actually participate in milestone events. I wasn’t a super optimal player but now I see new players are getting boosted and I feel like I’m gonna fall behind new players now. Overall I hope whatever changes come forward benefit everyone whether you’re new or a veteran, and I kinda hope there is some sorta compensation/gift as well cause of all the drama and some accounts not getting the benefits of the boost in the first place.
Couple points to consider if I may. 1. Since hive mind is city will they help in the campaigns that Squid is having trouble with? 2. DD2 if you have characters all ready to go just start don't wait to be optimum make the progress you can 1 step at a time. 3.Crucible if you notice you aren't using someone on offence may as well put them on defense even if the stats don't exceed the hand minions. "real" characters usually have better stats especially newer characters 4. i don't think investing in characters for challenges alone is a good idea. How much to invest before i get my return back. i just let those characters show up naturally. 5. You have to attack an enemy node in raids to get rewards, even if you just enter one node and quit the match. but you have to participate. 6.The "default" alliances that people get put into at the beginning of the game can and do participate in war. they grow the same as "normal" alliances. It just depends on how active the members have been. Keep having fun.
1. In terms of city, I mean Hive Mind only has 4 characters in there but still good option. Sinister 6 would have been more a more appropriate option than Heros for Hire.
I am a new MSF player, but have experience from LotR HoME. The progression feels extremely restricted, and most of my early game experience feels like I’m spending campaign energy on random nodes that I don’t care about just so I can level up and unlock the next feature in the game. It has felt quite frustrating seeing other players in the community progressing so much faster.
If Squid Princess is looking to go for APOC she should really be building the meta raid teams pretty much. Bifrost, Pegasus, Hive Mind will help unlock 3 horsemen. Secret Defenders will help unlock another horseman and be useful in arena. Darkhold will only be useful once you have Morgan le fay on the team and a lot of T4s invested.
It seems that the ideal would be that between level 50 and 90 the necessary experience would be reduced by half. approximately 3-6 days for each level as you progress
Purely for consistency I'd argue they should just double the xp they give since higher level means bigger rewards even though it's still doing exactly what you're saying.
I just leveled up to 76 today. Took 2 weeks to of max dailys to get there from 75. Feels demoralizing considering that lower level people don't get any goodies to help us advance. I just got to a spot where I can unlock good characters finally. And Im not even F2P not that I spend much but a strike pass once every month or two.
But what about the people like K9 who don't know they are being throttled and are just struggling in the game and don't know why ? Scopley is screwing people quietly and randomly in the name of making the game better ? That's messed up

I'm autistic and tend to take things literally, here I thought maybe you'd assumed it was an oversight by the Devs or something, and it was bugging me. I also tend to forget that there are people playing Marvel Strike Force who have no familiarity with the source material. He's also a clone of Shatterstar, his future Son. 🤯
